Confused Priest
He dialed his Dadima's number to share his heart. Dadima saw her phone ringing with an unknown number flashing on the screen. "Hello, She answered. "Dadima...', Maan said in a broken voice. Dadima was instantly worried as whatever she was doing but her children in distress always worried the mother in her. "Maan...is that you dear, what happened, She said. "Dadima...I was wrong to think of becoming a priest ...now she wants me to chant mantras in her wedding, He sobbed. Dadima understood his meaning now relieved that it is not a big deal and her stupid grandson was just getting his brains back but still pretended to extract out more information from her stupid child. "Who...Maan...what are you talking about Maan, She said.
"Dadima...Geetji..is getting married, He sobbed again. "Who is Geet, dear...please tell me in detail, She said trying to hide her smile while signaling Geet who just came there to call her for diner. "Dadima...Geetji is a very nice person...she is the ideal person you would have chosen for your granddaughter in law ...she is getting married and I love her...please Dadima come here and help me, He cried. Geet felt bad for hearing that and was going to say something but Dadima stopped her. "But dear...you went to become a Priest, what will that sage say if you leave like this, Dadima said. "I...I don't know ...I will be wrong to hurt Guruji but Dadima Geetji will leave if I sit like this...I don't want to chant mantras in her wedding, He pouted thinking of that.
Geet giggled but was gestured by Dadima to keep quiet. "Dadima is there someone with you, Maan asked. He could swear it was the same giggle he was used to hearing everyday but how could that be. Geet was surprised at his sharp instincts as she did not giggle that loud to be heard on the phone. She understood why Dadima praised him for his skills.
"Ah, no dear who can it be ...you left this old woman and your little brother alone ..., Dadima faked sadness. "I'm sorry Dadima ...is Dev there can I talk to him, He said. Though Dev was there but she knew he wouldn't lie to his brother and all her plan will go down the drain so she lied, "No dear, Dev is sleeping ...I got him into a new school so he is just learning to adapt to the new surroundings, She said. "Oh, alright Dadima...but please help me, He said. "I will dear, I surely will, Dadima smiled.
Maan disconnected the call and turned around to find his two friends standing. "Ek baat kahoon Maan, Aditya said. "Bolo, Said Maan. "Agar duniya mein bewakoofi ki koi pratiyogita (contest) hoti to usmein tum zaroor avval (first) aate, He said. "Tum aisa kyun keh rahe ho main bahut samajhdaar hoon, He defended. "Sach mein...to kya tumhe nahi dikhta ki Geet tumhe ullu bana rahi hai, Yash said.
"Kya matlab hai tumhara Geetji aisa kyun karengi, Maan said not liking anyone pointing his dear Geetji. "Ek kaam karo apne ghar phone karo tumhe sab samajh mein aa jayega, Aditya said. "Main abhi apni Dadima se hi baat kar raha tha, He said. "Tumhe kaise pata tumhari Dadima ghar pe thi, Yash asked. "Dadima aur kahan hogi tum log ye kya gol gol baat kar rahe ho, He said confused. "Maan tum abhi Geet ke ghar jaake bolo ki tum uski shadi mein mantra padhne ke liye taiyyar ho, Aditya said giving Maan a heart attack.
"Kyaaa...ye kya keh rahe ho kabhi nahi ...aisa kuch nahi bolne wala main, He said tears flowing out of his eyes. "Arey humare bholu hum teri madad kar rahe hain..rona band kar, Yash said giving him a bear hug. "Haan Geetji ki shadi mein mantra padhwake(read), He sniffed. "Haan...hum par bharosa rakh Maan, hum tujhe teri Geetji se zarur milwayenge par Geetji ko thoda jhatka lagna chahiye, Aditya smiled. "Tum dono pata nahi kya keh rahe ho...theek hai main wohi karunga jo tum kahoge, Maan said trusting his buddies. "To jaa humare sher abhi jaa, Yash said.
Aditya and Yash followed Geet and did a little research and were shocked to see Maan's family there and were more shocked to find out that even their Guruji was helping them but why...so they decided to help their bholu friend get the girl but not before giving her a taste of her own medicine. On their advise Maan went to Geet's house.
"Maanji aap iss samay koi zaruri baat thi kya, Geet asked as she opened the door surprised to see Maan there. "Geetji main aapse kuch kehne aaya hoon, He said putting up a brave front though he was crying inside for even agreeing to his friends. Geet was happy thinking that may be he will confess but she didn't know what was to come next and his next set of words shocked her out of her wits. "Geetji , main aapke vivah mein mantra padhne(read) ke liye taiyyar hoon...aap ki khushi ke liye main apna mitra hone ka dharam nibhaunga.
