I don't want to bag on the actresses acting skills, but I feel her performance/ characterisation/ acting style in this show is the exact same as all of her other shows she has done, the only difference being that this time her character's actions aren't positive at all but she acts like she's a positive character who has/ is doing no wrong and everyone is needlessly misunderstanding her as if she is a typical female lead with pure intentions who never does wrong and is still misunderstood.
When her actions are far from positive why are the writers/ director making her act like a typical Bechari female lead? It makes no sense, and it doesn't make her a brave actress to play a character whose actions speak one thing but her acting and reactions to her own deeds and other character's words to her are the same as if she was playing any of her other previous roles. At least make her reactions/ acting to be of a grey character, rather than an innocent/ bechari typical female lead so her character actually looks new and different from other characters she has done or looks different from other female leads till date, just as her actions are different from other female leads. Drashti's acting and her character in this show make no sense.
It's as if they want nandini's character to gain the same level of adulation and sympathy other female leads typically do despite her horrid behaviour, attitude and actions, by getting drashti to act like an innocent and bechari girl just like most female leads are. And it's clearly not working as the character is getting so much hate for it, and apart from die-hard drashti fans, most people are not appreciating drashti's delivery of nandini's character as her innocent/ bechari acting doesn't make sense with nandini's not-so-innocent and selfish actions. I wish she would act more grey rather than positive as that would make more sense for nandini's character.
