I know it'd probably never happen but still... I was just watching the final trailer of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Extended Harry Potter movie series was only known as a Maledictus at the time. For non-Potterheads, here's what a Maledictus is: a person (specifically a woman) with a blood curse, destined to ultimately transform into a beast. In this case, she takes the form of Nagini, Voldemort's trusted snake, and his final Horcrux. Admist the critics I found it amusing concept .. ... I wonder if Indian TV would adapt such basis trying to find scientific base mixed with unexplainable phenomenon I. E Scifi
I couldn't help but wish for that.. ... It just looked so bad to see actors calling naagin Wonder Woman and all, I just feel we're far far away from that ! Shape-shifting phenomenon in our mythology could be a terrific blended if accumulated with science like they tried with kangana's character in Krish :)

I agree. I see actors saying naagin is the Wonder Woman and similar to game of thrones which I feel is ridiculous to say. Cause game of thrones and Wonder Woman are on another level when it comes to content, dialogue and story. Naagin is such a fascinating concept which is why it's so popular on Indian screen. However the creators aren't interested in the sci-fi part. I also saw the last trailer to fantastic beasts the crime of Grindelwald. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. I can't wait for the movie but that revelation about nagini stunned me. I never saw that coming and it makes me more excited to see the movie.

Really loved to know there potterheads around nice to have people with same likes. Now coming to the sci-fi I wouldn't actually call Maledictus a scientific phenomenon coz it is a curse afterall can't wait for Crimes of Grindelwald
Now coming to naagin it wouldn't just matter how one became the shapeshifting snake but how they take the concept further.
The creatives of naagin nd the writers it seems r working on tried nd tested tracks nd storyline instead of making some hardcore good content in terms of story . Naagin marrying to the nice guy for revenge , a maskman who is a main culprit, the sweet as honey caring mother who is actually the evil adopted mother nd the main villian , an extremely loyal friend with temper issues that turns negative, once the Sehgals know a naagin is around we will have 1000 different ways to ward off naagin tracks so they aren't trying to go for new concepts
The beauty of fantasy as a genre is that we have a parallel world running along with the real one nd the rules of the world r decided by writer nd the writers here r unable to tap the potential the genre has
I know half the people here might kill me but I find romance has been given so much more screen space than should have been given considering the genre is supernaturnal fantasy plus ITV fixation with leads not consummating till almost the end has made them to force in stupid MU tracks which I see enough of in all daily soaps so I would rather be spared of them in fantasy nd finite series
Also it would be nice if for a change if the stereotypical theories like naagin takes revenge nd naagmani tracks were spared instead the writers played with their imagination nd I m sure the content of it is good is gonna be enjoyed
God lately I have been so critical about storyline nd characterization forgive me guys but I honestly think the makers should experiment more nd fantasy is a genre that is famous globally so good content in that genre will garner good number

I completely agree with u @anisaxena089. More of the show has turned into a romance rather than a supernatural fantasy. More of the scenes are wasted on misunderstandings between Bela and Mahir rather than the plot of the story. I feel disappointed as a viewer but will still watch because I enjoyed some of the tracks that were shown. Naagin 3 has the potential to be as good as season 1 yet the writers head are in the clouds. Also I agree it's the same sterotypical stories where the naagin takes revenge for either the parents or lover. This is why I hope Bela doesn't give up being a naagin to be with Mahir. Rather let Mahir become a naag and join her. I hate the girls always have to be the one to sacrifice. This show can make really good stories if they weren't focused on the repeated plots like you pointed out. Son turns out to be adopted son. Mother is actually evil stepmom. Best friend turns enemy. Etc etc

Me to. The promo looks very good for this weekend episodes. I'll admit Vikrant is looking hot in the promo a bit 😆 It seems Bela truth will be out to Mahir. I don't see how it can't be. Also I love Surbhi to. Despite my complaints about the story this season; it's the cast and surbhi that makes the season enjoyable and entertaining.

U r actually one of those people I have found on this forum who I think share the same outlook to things I almost agree with you 90 percent of the times I really like ur posts girl relieving from everybody asking for behir romance nd wishing every villain away as soon as they enter ( no offense) also I m sort of irritated at people who would go to any stupid extent to prove the show is all about their fav actors character nd is working coz of them only . Insta especially nd even Twitter r toxic

Same here @Anisaxena089. I'm not including all Bela and Mahir shippers however there are some that I see on instagram and twitter that whenever a villain enters the picture; they just want the villain to go away and get back to the romance. Naagin is a supernatural show not a romance. For me whatever show I watch it's always been about story and character development. In regards to this topic like what the author posted I know there is not a chance for writers to dwell into the sci-fi concept of naagin. For Indian tv shows it's all about romance, misunderstandings and repetitive plots. In American tv shows and movies you can expect to see higher quality content and excellent written script shows. If Naagin series was in the hands of an american producer then without a doubt they would have explored the sci-fi concept and gave out great stories. However this is an indian tv show. So I don't really get my hopes up.
