I absolutely doubt it implied threesome. I think it is that Mauli is meant to be married to Kunal. But her actions are creating Kunal Nandini. People keep wondering why everyone lectures Mauli and no one lectures Kunal. I think part of the reason is because everyone believes Mauli still controls what happens to the relationship. I don't know if they are right or wrong but the idea does have merit. If right after finding out about the affair instead of Mauli deciding to leave Kunal, she gave him the ultimatum that either her or me that coward darpok man most like would've picked Mauli because that is what good men are supposed to do and Mauli is attached to his family and life. That's why he was shocked by the divorce. She keeps giving him ways to be with Nandini. In the hospital when Nandini took him she could've brought him home, she is his wife. She doesn't have to give him permission to carry on the affair. She doesn't have to cover for him when he goes to his mistress. She is not only tolerating his affair, she is helping him carry on this affair. She still loves his madly but is sharing him with Nandini.

I want Mauli to leave the idiot and let him realize what he lost.
