...Who else but the one and only Rajkumar Rao! As a BW watcher, I have always loved him for his great choice of films and his acting skills but this one (Stree) he just blew out of the park š²
TBH I have become so rarely active on IF these days because life came in the way.. hardly go for any films because where I live, travelling within the city feels like you are going from city to another! (true story) and here I was reading such rave reviews about this film Stree that I thought that maybe my hard earned money would actually be worth it and boy am I glad that I went!
This movie was just out of the world wonderful! I mean how can horror and comedy be infused to make such a fabulous movie which is 2 hours of pure awesomeness where there are moments where you are terrified (okay I gotta confess I am not a Horror movie person AT ALL! ) and suddenly you burst out laughing! RR's impeccable comic timing coupled with his terrific acting skills was just everything! Of course special mention to the fabulous support cast as well right from Pankaj Tripathi to Aparshakti Khurani to even the actor playing Jana. Shraddha too was just amazing and there was something so captivating about her character that you felt drawn to her.
And the twists and turns! Till the very end! Entertaining right from the word go with so many hard hitting dialogues (Kudos to the dialogue writer) which didn't feel preachy but makes you think twice! š
I know this might seem like a review or a fan post or maybe you feel I could have posted this in the review or movie thread but after a long time I felt like coming to the forum just to make a post for this film which was such a delight to watch ā¤ļø
Hats off to the director, the entire cast and crew for giving such a 'fresh breath of air' kind of film and I for one can't wait for its sequel.
