What I heard is that not every d2h companies are not included.

Trps from south Indian part not included.(not sure with BARC now as there was article that they increase the number of data counting.

Two things i don't know true or not as trp can increase if we tune in 5 min earlier(6.55 for 7 pm show) and if we not changing channels during ad breaks trps can increase.

Not sure they are counting repeat telecasts with main data.

In my knowledge, trps of real telecast time will be counted and it's mainly to find out how much people interested in it in a particular time slot and trps are for Advertisers for them to know which show doing better in a time slot so that they can give ads and this way channels can gain money.
