PART 29
Adiru hugged each other tight and adi said -we did much wrong with them. Being our papa, he did everything for us and what we did. We hurt him at every instance. Even when he chose his happiness, we went and hurt him again. Humne bahut galat kiya unke saath, bahut hi galat.
Ruhi -haan bhai, we did much wrong, ki jitni bhi maafi maange utni kam hai. But we have to apologise for our mistake nahi fot our sins. Hume unse maafi maangni hogi, tabhi shayad hamari galti ki koi maafi ho sake. She said to which adi nodded his head.
They were talking when Ishra came inside and raman said -i have talked to the doctor, they r ready to discharge Ruhi. Hum Ruhi ko ghar le jaa sakte hai.he said making adiru too happy.
Ruhi -sachchi papa, we can go back.
Raman nodded and said -tum log yahim raho, main sab arrangement karke aata hoon.
Adiru nodded when ishita said -main bhi chalti hoon, Raman.
Raman -nahi, tum ruko. U must be tired.
Ishita -i am good, I can't leave u alone. Aditya, tum Ruhi ke paas Ruko, hum aate hai. She said and went with raman.
Adiru look at each other and Ruhi said -they waited for long bearing our hatred. Now we too have to wait a little for their forgiveness. Saying so both start waiting for Ishra.
Soon it was evening, almost six hours since Ishra has gone. Now adiru start wondering where Ishra went and start worrying too.
Ruhi -adi bhaiya, papa ko phone kariye. Abhi tak aaye kyun nahi. She was saying when they heard, we r here.
Adiru look at ishra and could feel that they r looking much worn out. Their faces were pale and eyes were puffy like they have cried for long specially Raman.
Adi -papa, what happened to ur eyes. It's red and puffy.
Raman -kuch nahi, it's just something went into it. We have cleared the paper. Tum log ready ho?? He asked to which adiru nodded happily and Raman said -ok, then let's go.
Adiru nodded and walked behind ishra. Adi was holding the bag having ruhi's and his belongings, the very few they had.
All settled in a cab and raman told him the address.
Adi -papa, hum kahan jaa rahe hai.
Raman -chalo batata hoon. He said and remained silent. Ishita was just looking at him trying to say something but everytime Raman made him silent. Adiru were not understanding what's going on while ishita remembered the afternoon incident.
Flashback
Raman gave money to the landlord and said -thanks for giving this room in mid session. I am really thankful to u.
Landlord -i am giving this room but discipline of my house should be maintained, OK.
Raman -i will take care of that, he said and the landlord went.
Ishita who was silent till now finally spoke -what r u doing, Raman??
Raman look at her and said -i know I am spending ur all Money.
Ishita -u know naa, I am not talking about that. I am asking that what u r doing. Aap aditya -ruhi ke liye room kyun le rahe hai.
Raman -toh what should I do, unhe raste par chod doon.
Ishita -maine yeh nahi kaha, I just said shayad woh hamare saath wapas jaana chahe.
Raman -but I don't want to take them along. Ek baap hone ke naate unki madad ki hai, unhe maaf nahi kiya hai, aur naa hi kabhi karunga.
Ishita -but woh hamare bachche hai, Raman. They need us.
Raman -they never need us, ishita. They just needed my money. Toh main unke liye saari arrangement kar de raha hoon and then we r going back to India tonight.
Ishita -itni jaldi, unhe sambhalne ka toh mauka dijiye.
Raman -ab bhi nahi sambhale toh kaise jeeyenge .i have done my part as a father now they have to decide, that what they have to do. I have to go back, I have one more daughter who is waiting for me. He said and went out of the house.
Ishita walked behind him.
Raman -mujhe kuch der ke liye akela chod do, ishita. He said in a husky voice.
Ishita -u know, I can't .
Raman look at her and said -please.
Ishita stopped there but he continued walking. He walked down the street and sat in a corner. He cried there sitting alone for long while ishita was just looking at him from far feeling helpless. She so wanted to remove his pain but he wasn't allowing her.
At last when she can't see him like that, she went to him and said sitting beside him-itni takleef hai toh maaf kar dijiye naa.
Raman -takleef hai, tabhi toh maaf nahi kar paa raha. He said and kept his head on her shoulder. She wrapped her arms around him giving him the much needed strength.
They sat there for long and finally went back to hospital .
Flashback end
Ishita wiped her tears and prayed -murugan sab sahi kar dijiye. I can't see my husband and kids in so much pain.
Soon they reached to the place.adiru was looking around the place when Raman said -maine tum logon ke liye yeh room liya hai. Baaki arrangements bhi kar diye hai, tum dono ki study ke liye,khane ke liye. Infact sabhi cheezon ke liye. Ab tum logon ko kisi bhi cheez ke liye kisi par depend nahi hona padega. I will send u money every month like before. Bas apni study complete kar aur zindagi mein kuch ban jao. Hum dono ki flight hai, we r going to airport. He said making adiru shocked.
Adi -aap log chale jayenge, hume chod kar.
Ruhi start crying hearing this and said -we know, humse galti hui hai. Infact paap hua hai, but please papa hume itni badi saza mat dijiye. Hume chod kar mat jaiye. Please take us along.she said crying and seeing her crying aditya too start crying hugging her.
Raman couldn't see their tears and turned to go when adiru held his hand and said -papa please hume chod kar mat jaiye, we r sorry. Humse bahut badi galti hui, hume saza dijiye. Maariye, slap us papa. But don't leave us alone like this. They were saying and crying.
Raman -main apni zimmedaari chod kar nahi jaa raha hoon. I have done everything arrangement for u two to stay here and study. Ab bas itna ehsaan kar dena ki achche se padh lena.ur father don't have huge empire to spend money on u two. Isse pehle ki main, tum dono ko paise bhejne laayak naa rahun,kuch ban jao. Warna main kuch nahi kar paaunga. He said looking in the opposite direction.
Ruhi -hume yahan nahi rehna papa, hume aapke saath ghar jaana hai. Please take us with u. Aapne hume ab tak maaf nahi kiya kya??
Raman -mere paas ab Itni shakti nahi ki tum dono ko maaf kar ke apne paas rakh sakun. I will perform all my duties as father but don't expect that fatherly love from me. Kyunki jis baap ke marne ki tumne wish ki thi, woh shayad mar kar bhi tum logon ko maaf nahi kar paayega. Chalo ishita, we r getting late for airport. He said and start walking out of adiru's apartment when adiru said -mumma, Aap bhi hume chod kar chali jayengi. They said together making Ishra stop.
Ishra turned and adiru said crying folding their hands -mumma please papa ko samjhao, hume aise chod kar naa jaayen. We need him, we need u. We need both of u and we r sorry, really sorry.
Ishita got happy listening mumma from them. She look at Raman happily and was about to say something when Raman said -now u want me to forgive them aur agar nahi kiya toh tum inn logon ka saath dogi naa. ab toh tumhe tumhare bachche bhi mil gaye. Ab tum bhi mujhe chod kar chali jaogi naa. Tum bhi mujhe akela chod dogi naa. I will be all alone like before, puchta hoon shayad chunnu ko bhi koi mil gaya ho and she too don't need me. Meri kismat hi kharab hai, no-one ever needed me. He said in a broken voice making ishita's eyes moist.
Ishita -aisa kyun keh rahe hai, Raman. Mere liye aapse jyada jaruri koi nahi, koi bhi nahi. Main khud bhi nahi. Shayad aapka saaya aapka saath chod de but ishita kabhi nahi chodegi.
Raman -toh chali mere saath, he said forwarding his hand. Ishita look at adiru, they were crying asking forgiveness, then she look at Raman, who was looking at her with hopeful eyes. It was a difficult phase for her, she has to choose between her husband and her kids.
And she closed her husband, she held Raman's hand firmly and walk out of the house looking at adiru with moist eyes.
