Totally... I don't understand. I get that it's a tv show and many things are for drama and is not realistic but like it has to make sense though. How can Kabir marry her when she is in the iddat? He is a priest and he should know that such a marriage cannot take place.

This is a tv show don't give them to much credit it's a lot dumber then you think.
The ideas are hardly ever complicated . Simple but with illusion is their tactics once they have you fooled it comes down to nothing.
