She was just on the stairs when the main door opened and he walked inside, their eyes met and she almost fell looking into his bloodshot eyes. She clutched the railings for support looking into his eyes which were screaming of the pain, dejection and helplessness. She wanted to run into his arms and console her but somewhere she lost her ability to speak and move leaving her and before she can even compose herself to face him he was already walking pass by her side.

Khushi followed him inside the room and walked to poolside looking at him standing there. She took hesitant steps looking at his stiff back, she can see he I really angry and hurt about something. She gulped with fear because an angry ASR is no less then a monster if he lost his control but she couldn't stay away either knowing something is hurting him real bad.

Khushi keeps her hand on his shoulder "Arnav ji she whispered only to have him turn around and grip her forearms in harshly. "He was lying. He was lying. You can't do this. You can't do this right? He was lying, right? Arnav bellowed angrily and Khushi looked at him confused trying hard to ignore the pain his hands are giving to her arms.

Khushi: What are you talking about? I can't do, what? Who was lying?

Arnav hissed angrily "Shayam making her eyes widen. Khushi stuttered "What did he say? You said you trust me? Jiji and I told you that he was lying and you also supported then what happened now?

Arnav "I am not talking about that day, I am talking about whatever he said today and... " he stopped remembering those damn words and Khushi looked at him shocked "You met him? You met him again today? Khushi asked scared.

Arnav pushing her to wall behind them he keeps his forehead on hers as tears flew without any warning from his eyes "He was lying. Why? Why didn't you tell me? You shouldn't have gone this far for everyone Khushi. You shouldn't! Khushi cried herself unable to understand what he is talking about and cupped his face "What did I do Arnav ji? I shouldn't have done, what? I already told you sorry for hiding about him but trust me I jjust wanted to everyone to be happy especially Di and you.

"But you shouldn't have gone this far. I was alive Khushi, you should have just told me before taking that step under the influence of that bast**d. why are you making me hate myself more and more? Why are you hell bent to make me feel useless? Arnav screamed pushing himself away from her.

Khushi tried to touch him, controlling her tears but he steps back "No! No please don't touch me. He turns his back to her "Just leave me alone, I want to be alone. Khushi tried again "But.. cuts off by him "Just leave Dammit!! Arnav growled angrily.

Khushi stumbled back the room trying to not piss him off some more but his words just making her more confuse. "What was he talking about? And he met Shaym today? Suddenly her eyes widened as a thought crossed her mind "Have Shyam tried to feed him another set of lies. She gasped hoping her fears to turn out wrong and again walked to poolside to confront Arnav but he was already left for another room and the door was closed.

Next morning when Khushi woke up from a very uncomfortable sleep as she was just thinking about all the possibilities for Arnav's words. She looked at the time and her eyes widened, she hurriedly got up and left for the washroom to complete her morning essential and after taking a shower she almost ran down. She reached on dining table only to find Arnav missing "Where is Arnav ji? she asked in confusion but soon regretted remembering Arnav's words, family is not aware of their sudden changed living arrangements and they shouldn't be.

But before she can say something to do the damage control, Payal answered her making her sigh in relief "Arnav ji left for office early today, he said you are sleeping so he didn't wake you up. Now come on get ready Akash ji will drop us today. Khushi nodded as she sat down to have her breakfast and after playing with it for a while and stuffing few morsels inside her mouth unwillingly she got up to bring her stuff.

Arnav was sitting on his chair with his head leaning back and eyes closed, he came to office early to not face anyone. It was getting difficult to stay under that roof which is reminding him of betrayals of closed ones again and again, so he ran away to his own personal den. He now by now all the staff have started entering in office to start their day but he just wished to stay away in silence. His life which was going perfect according to him just few days ago have now turned a complete mess.

He was still thinking about sudden events in his life when someone knocked the door making him groan in frustration, he have especially asked to put the board for "Do not disturb then why in the hell they are doing it. "Come in he asks angrily and saw Akash coming inside, he frowns but still asks "What happened Akash? Anything urgent?

Akash (smiling): Kind off!

Arnav: Huh?

Akash: I meand for Khusgi ji it was urgent, so I have to do it.

Before Arnav can ask something he forwarded a tiffin box towards him with his medicines "When Khushi ji got to know you left without breakfast she packed it for you and also you forgot your medicines which in turn increased her worries more. So she have specially asked me to keep an eye on you that you have your breakfast and medicines.

Arnav sighed looking at the tiffin and almost snatched from his hands "I'll have it, you may go now. But Akash stays there only nodding in No " I can't! I have promised Khushi ji that I'll keep an eye on you till you don't have your medicines. Arnav groaned inwardly "crazy woman.

Akash chuckles but suddenly gets serious "Everything is good between you two? I mean I know after what happened it's difficult but we have talked about it earlier, right? Their intension weren't wrong. Arnav sighed as he spoke "So you sorted out everything with Payal? Akash shrugged " I thought that is best thing to do. Arnav nodded and continued "I am happy for you Akash and about Khushi and me, I am not accusing her either but I need more time to adjust with this change.

Akash nodded in understanding and asked him to finish his breakfast only then he'll leave and Arnav did that gladly. After taking first bite of his breakfast only he realized how much hungry he was actually feeling. Inwardly he really felt content with Khushi's care, he know she loves him but he just can't digest the path she have chosen in this love and others happiness.

Maha Update

It's been a week almost with Arnav ignoring her, of he was disappointed with her earlier and was avoiding her but from that night when he had returned home in messed up condition and asked her those incomplete questions she can see that he is ignoring her completely. Earlier he have said that shouldn't let family know that there is anything wrong between them but then now she can see that his indifference is now noticed by all.

Yesterday even Payal asked her about it but she just told he is worried about Di and therefore he is tense these days but she know that that is not the only reason. He locks himself in another room every night, her advances to solve the issues are completely ignored by him. The pain he is carrying in his eyes these days is making her restless and she can only relate it to his meeting with Shyam. "What have Shyam told him? Why he is more detached from that night? What was he trying to ask that night? Why is he in so much pain?" questions are eating her and the one who can give answers is hell bent on staying distant.

Looking at the time and the door she sighed "He is again late today and she know he is doing it deliberately." Tears stung in her eyes as she looked at their untouched plates of dinner, though they don't have dinner together but he takes it in his room because he know she won't have it also if he didn't. "He love her! He cares for her! Then why can't he forgive her ?"

She turned to look at the door hearing the voice of footsteps and there he entered inside. She instantly gets up to heat the dinner and he started going upstairs but as soon as she turned she swayed and before she can even compose herself she was lying on the floor.

Arnav's head instantly turned around hearing "THUD" and his eyes widened looking at her sprawled on the floor.

"Khushi" he whispered in shock before throwing his bag and coat away he rushed towards her.

"Khushi! Khushi! What happened? Khushi! Open your eyes dammit!" he mumbled patting her cheeks in desperation as his eyes turned wet. Getting no response he instantly picked her in his arms and took her inside the room, after lying her carefully on the bed he looked around and grabbing the jug of water from bedside table he sprinkled it on her face. He again started patting her cheeks while sprinkling water on her face but he got no response. He started dialing doctor's number when he heard her voice, he looked at her to see her eyebrows scrunched up as she groaned trying to open her voice and he was on her side again.

"Khushi! You are ok sweetheart? Open your eyes please." He whispered caressing her head and she slowly opened her eyes to look into his desperate one. Her eyes instantly filled with tears, how much she was missing this attention, this care and his love. Before she can even nod or say anything he was hugging her, his head buried in the crook of her neck and she could feel the warmness of his tears on her skin.

"You are fine. You are fine! I was so scared." He mumbled still hugging her and after so many day a smile appeared on her face 'a genuine one' and she hugged him back caressing his hairs. " Relax Arnav ji, I am fine. Look at me, I am completely fine." She said to calm him. "But you fainted. You need doctor, let me call a doctor. Yes a doctor." He replied back instantly and at end he started looking for his phone again to call the doctor when Khushi stopped him.

"I am fine now and it's too late to call a doctor." She replied back trying to make him understand but he was so scared. "I don't care, it's an emergency he should be here." He again replied back but Khushi snatched phone from his hand before he can make a call. "There is no emergency, I am completely fine. No stop don't say anything , I know I fainted but it can because of weakness and tiredness. I will be alright by tomorrow." She explained him like a child but only one thing stuck him "weakness".

"Weakness! Yes of course weakness. You haven't had your dinner, right? How many times I have to tell you that don't wait for me? Forget it! It's all my fault. My fault! Let me get dinner." He whispered almost running outside the room to get food leaving Khushi in tears of happiness and pain. She is happy to receive his care and happiness after so many days but at the same time feeling so much pain looking at messed up state, where have her one stupidity pushed them.

Within few minutes he came back inside the tray of food and a glass of milk, he started feeding her dinner from his own hands and she made him eat also. After that he made sure that she had her milk and she did it without making any faces like she would have usually done but this time she was too busy to admire him from this close after so many days.

Keeping everything aside he settled beside her only and asked her to sleep, though she tried to deny asking him to sleep also but his stern voice instantly shut her up and before she knew she was sleeping peacefully with his hands caressing her head. Arnav kept looking at her innocent face as she slept peacefully and caressed her cheeks with his another hand, leaning down he kissed on her forehead and a drop of tear fell on her face which he wiped instantly.

"I am sorry" he whispered as he leaned back to support his back on headboard. "His ignorance and indifference is reason for her this state, he knew just like him even she is skipping her meals, being careless all the time with herself and also sleeping very less. He cursed himself for being so careless towards her and again looked at her, he leaned down again and pecked on her lips.

He closed his eyes to relax his body also when Shyam's words came crashing again to haunt him and he instantly opened his eyes. This is his condition from that night, he can hardly sleep as possibility of his words always haunt him. He looks at her innocent face and his expressions turned more painful, scurrying away he left for another room where he is sleeping these days and closed the door behind him.

He paced the length of room as he felt difficult to breath "This can't go on. It has to stop." He mumbled messing his hairs. "I am not happy, she is not happy. She is hurting herself because of me and this is now affecting her health. It shouldn't have happened, it shouldn't have." He mumbled.

He stopped pacing around when he heard another voice behind him and he turned around to look himself into the mirror. He walked closer with confused face though he can himself in mirror but the man in it is completely composed and casual unlike himself.

He frowned as the man in mirror started speaking "Don't think too much, I am here to help you." Arnav frowned "but how and..." He stopped as another him again started speaking.

"What are you doing and why?" he questioned.

"What do you mean?" Arnav replied.

"Why are you ignoring Khushi? Do you hate her now?"

"What? No! Never how can I hate her?" Arnav replied instantly in shock.

"Then why are you doing this to her? Why are you ignoring her when it is hurting you both?" he questioned again and Arnav looked down to access his feelings in words.

"I don't.. (he gulped) I don't want to ignore her, I don't want to hurt her. It hurts me too (after a pause) I am just too confused how to handle these things. Everything was going perfect but within a blink everything is crumbled. I really wished that Khusi has confided in me rather than hiding everything." Arnav replied in daze.

"Ok but what now? You and Akash talked about it and you yourself supported her that she is innocent. Then why hurt her, ignore her this much? Is it because of Shaym said?" the other one asked calmly.

"I don't know may be yes." He replied messing up his hairs from his hands and started speaking again "One side my heart is not ready to accept that Khushi can go this far, from what I have known her her virtue and self respect is more important to her than her life. If I go by my heart then I feel Khushi is someone who will give up on her life rather than committing something she feels as a sin."

"Then what's the problem?" the reply from mirror was quick.

"But then the other side makes me think if she can hide everything for our happiness, if she can bear everything alone for me, for Di then there are high chances that in her fears and love for family she could have actually taken this step." Arnav replied his eyes and face full with anguish.

"So you feel disgust for her now because of this?" the other one from mirror stated.

"No!!!" Arnav all but screamed in shock.

"No that's not true why would I hate or feel disgust for a woman who have gone out of her way and beliefs for me, for her love and family? Stop saying things like that and let me clear it to you one last time I don't hate Khushi or feel any kind of disgust for her." Arnav replied sternly and continued.

"My reason for distancing myself from Khushi is not because I feel any type of disgust and hate for her. Firstly I can't accept that Khushi will go this far and even if she have done this trust me my love for her can only get more stronger not turn into some hate."

"I love Khushi not only her f**king body. If whatever Shyam said is even true than also I am proud of my Love. How can you expect me to feel disgusting of a woman who have done so much for my and my family's happiness, who was bearing so much alone so we all can stay happily? How can I hate a woman who have sacrificed something she held more dear than her life for me, for my family?"

"No if anything in what Shaym said is true even than I know one thing I love her more. I respect her more it is not easy for a woman like Khushi to take this type of step. Got it? I love her! I love Khushi. Whole of her. She is not just a body for me to F**K but the person who made me live my life again. I just need her beside me forever." He completed in distress, angrily against the statement that he can feel something close to disgust for Khushi.

The other him in mirror smiled as he finally opened his mouth again " You answered it all, you have everything cleared in your mind, you just need to accept it. Think Then what is stopping you? Then what is holding you back from going to her and let her know that you don't hold her responsible for anything."

"The fact that I wasn't able to help my love when she was fighting all alone is slowly killing me with guilt and helplessness." Arnav replied overwhelmed with emotions. "The fact when she was standing all alone I was living in bliss happily around her unaware of torment. I should have tried, I should have tried more knowing that something is amiss with her."

"You can't change it now can you?" the other him asked again.

"I know I can't but the thought of if what Shaym said is true and Khushi have to actually go through that is killing me. How will I ever face her? I was unable to protect her as I promised. How can I forgive myself?" Arnav replied.

"But then you promised to stand by her side always!" the other him smiled while speaking.

"And I will! Till my last breath." Arnav's reply was instant.

"Then you need to let go of your own messed up mind and talk with her. Let her know that come what may you are beside her. That you are still with her and she don't need to hurt herself." The other him explained again.

"You are right! We need to talk. She needs to know that she have me beside her, she don't need to feel alone. It will take me sometime to make things like before but I don't hold her responsible for anything. Yes I am disappointed with her lack of trust on me but I am not against her, I just need sometime to set things." Arnav murmured looking lost and when he looked back at mirror there was no one. He looked around once more and sighed "Things needs to settle down soon before it does more damage and he will start working on them soon."
