So, I was analyzing the current scenario of KKB & it made me wonder how should I describe Sikandar's character???

The guy is no doubt spineless & a big looser. But at present it seems to me whatever he is doing, it's for himself & not for Kulfi.

Yes, Kulfi indeed resemble Sikka a lot. She got her singing talent from her dad & naturally she became close with him. It's the same how at the beginning Amyra felt happy in Tevar's presence. Both the father here have a right to know about their respective daughters & be with them.

But Tevar is a person who is ready to turn the world upside down for his daughter while Sikka is a crybaby. I don't like Amyra's nagging behavior but wouldn't a normal child feel insecure if she sees her father giving all the attention to an outsider? And Sikka as a father is either spoiling or pleading in front of Amyra but isn't doing anything productive for her. And by productive I mean teach her some values & not provide her with everything she desires.

On the other hand, he is hell bent on proving Tevar wrong.

Somewhere down the line I feel he is jealous of Tevar that he is a great father & Sikka himself is not. Plus, Kulfi was someone who could truly understand him. In the mess created by Lovely & Amyra, Sikka himself needs some relief & that's why he needs Kulfi by her side. The easiest way to do so is to prove Tevar wrong & that's what he is doing.

If he was truly concerned for Kulfi why couldn't he secure her in his house or stand up to Amyra? He can never give Kulfi the happiness she deserves but Kulfi can give him all the love a father can get from her daughter.

For a parent, his/her child's happiness is what matters most. But even after watching how Tevar is slowly molding Kulfi into a more confident & happier little girl, if Sikandar chooses to break them apart - how is that gonna work in Kulfi's favor???

I feel whatever Sikka is doing it is out of pure selfishness. A guy who could leave his wife for mere fame, is he really capable of being selfless?

I absolutely love this post. I love the post because you hit it right on the had what is really going on. Sikander is a weak person, weak parent and not dependable at all. I feel deep down he knows Kulfi is his daughter but is to weak to admit it. Indulging any child and condoning their bad behavior is not good parenting, hence, proof what a horrible parent Sikander is.
Sikinder should take some lessons from Tevar on how to love your child and be a good human being.

Exactly. I really don't understand what's going in his mind. On one side, he wants Kullfi to be happy, loved, safe and cared for and on the other hand, he is trying to break her away from Tevar who is proving to be such a good father to her, who tries everything to make her happy, who loves her so damn much, who makes sure she feels safe and confident eveytime and who cares for her far more than Sikander or even his family ever did!
What is he planning to do after he proves that Tevar isn't Kullfi's father? Is he planning to bring Kullfi back in his house? WHY? Doesn't he know Amyra hates her? Doesn't he know that Kullfi was never, and will never be, respected in his house?

There's a really important fact I just can't seem to wrap my head around. Sikka knows Amyra detests Kullfi. Then WHY is he sabotaging his fragile relationship with his daughter?

Seriously, this guy really needs a break from himself!

Awesome post btw!!
