I really like how this show doesnt focus on religious differences among the leads OR their families! like the only time we saw anything regarding religious conflicts was during the danga track. like literally NOT ONE PERSON has a problem with them being hindu or muslim and that's just so amazing cuz it shows tolerance so well!😃 one would atleast expect family members to have some resistance but the makers have taken care not to show even that 😳 its a show purely about love😊
even when Zoya was with Yash it was never shown that Waseem disapproved cuz he was a Hindu.

It's just really unique cuz i dont think we have ever had a show with leads belonging to different religions which DOESNT focus on that difference! like often THAT alone is the whole premise of shows!😲

I think AdiYa are the first inter religious couple portrayed on ITV and I'm all for it! Bepannaah is amazing, I love how they normalized it and shows a form of progression in ITV!

AdiYa are the first inter religion couple I am watching...and I must say makers have touched the subject with great attention and not making it the major cause of drama...that way adiya are unique also...cliched marriage tracks cannot be applied for them...they will have to go by court marriage only...

They can still have a wedding celebration, na? 😆
I know in the States, Hindu weddings/Nikaah is not considered a marriage until the papers are signed.
Most people in my family in fact had a "court marriage" then a huge ceremony because of the laws here.

I think AdiYa deserve a grand celebration after everything they've been through. ❤️

Yes that's a really refreshing change😊
Along with that, I also like the fact that both the families have equal standard of living. Generally in the soaps ML's family is rich n they keep taunting the FL n her family about their status or vice versa. Nobody is richer or poorer in BP n we don't have to hear those ghise pite taunts once more...that's really awesome! I like how none of papa hooda n Waseem chacha can manipulate eachother using their money.
However, I want to know the purpose behind writing one Hindu n one Muslim character...there must have been some purpose, no? This story would have been same with two people from same religion. There must have been some thought, isn't it

I agree. I really like the normalization of inter-religious marriages in the show even though in reality it may not be as easy as it has been shown. I loved how Madhu and Waseem were shown to be having problems with the individuals and not their respective religions. Truly very refreshing!
However, I have a feeling Anjana is going to rake up the religion angle just to somehow undermine Zoya and not because she truly believes in it.

It is really so cool that there are no religion boundaries.. Status boundaries between AdiYa. Even if waseem and An jana hate their Union that is because they have personal reasons not the most ghisse peete reasons other ITv shows use. This is one of the most important factor that audience like BP that much. Even earlier when they showed that Waseem didn't hate Yash because he was Hindu but due to other reasons which was so refreshing and I liked that.

P. S They deserve grand Reception and Papa Hooda, Arjun and Zosh really should give them huge party after all the pain they have been through. We as a audience too desire it for them. 😆

This is one of the rsns why bp is unique. Even during the riot trck no one abused the other religion by wrds neither waseem nor anjana, they could hav given dialogues like why muslims are doing this why hindus are dng tht but no cvs handled tht trck carefully they were not given such dialogues. This is why bp is being loved so much. 😃and ofcourse they are the 1st inter religion couple in ITV😉
