Some questions regarding today's episode

a) So at what time was the wedding?

1) its really not that hard to enter a shaadi house. Everyone is so busy and there are people coming and going. There's so much going on and in that scenario what is one more person entering a house? No one is paying individual attention to everyone. And he may have timed it so that he came in with a crowd. It's really not much of a stretch

2)he already mentioned why he came. He didn't want to leave without saying a proper goodbye. He wanted to leave her as the best friend she had proclaimed him to be. When he decided to leave he had only just been crushed. He probably thought about it and decided that he could not leave without seeing her one last time. And he remembered the promise he made her. Aditya hooda keeps his promises especially ones made for zoya.
3)he packed and sat down to think. Realized somewhere that he was missing a ring and came back to look for it. His flight is probably late at night but he wanted to be out of the house immediately and alone with his thoughts. He decided to stop by zoya's house on the way to the airport to say a final goodbye because arjun mentioning zoya just as he had decided to leave probably made it harder to do so without seeing her at least once. And her returning the ring made him think he had ruined everything between them. Even friendship. He wanted to salvage at least one good memory even if it was the last.
The nikkah would have been early not very late and his flight was probably later at night since it was never mentioned when it would be only that he wanted to leave immediately.
4) zoya had returned it when it had come to her by mistake. He had not sent it to her on purpose. And aditya believed that she was the true owner of the ring now that she had his heart. So he offered it to her as a wedding gift so that she may always remember him. And so that she knows he wants nothing in return for his love only her happiness

5) I don't know honestly. If she called off the wedding it would be a very selfish thing to do since she was the one who had given her approval in the first place without anyone forcing her (emotional blackmail is a different story though) and we know that zoya is someone who is honest and honourable. When she gives her word she keeps it. Yash's betrayal made this part of her even stronger. But she would have died inside if she had realized she loved aditya and still married Arshad. That would have been punishment enough for her in her mind. Zoya Siddique would have become a ghost of her former self and she would have regretted marrying Arshad but she would not have wanted to humiliate her family, Arshad, or his family

But if she had gone after aditya, she would not have forgotten about what was happening at home. She would have come home and faced the music. But zoya as a character is very selfless so I don't think she would have done something selfish just because she realized what her heart truly wanted.
But she would have realized she loved aditya whether he came or not.

But by being selfless with others, she is being selfish with Aditya. One could say she is selfish with Arshad also. Being unfair to both. And ruining 3 lives as a result.

For the last question: here's what I think is going to happen from the last ep and precap:

Arshad said Aditya ruko at the end - he'll do the sacrifice drama. Aditya will laugh it out and say you're mistaken, Zoya doesn't love me and wants to marry you. He'll then make her sit on that cusion behind the curtain.

Then, the ball is in Zoya's court. She will HAVE to take a stand. Not Arshad, not Harshad 😛 but Zoya and only Zoya will benthe one stopping the marriage.

as jenny said...she hasnt still come in terms with her fear...her fear is so much that she seriously cant make a decision..neither she wants to loose aditya and be selfless for her family and arshad nor she wants to accept her love for aditya and be selfish to hurt family and arshad...she really is not in a frame yet to make that call..when the letter flew away...she defined it as destinies call that maybe aditya was meant only until then in her life..her inability to make the decision which her heart desires made her to follow where destiny leads...and she is reading the wrong signs..bcz the letter flew off to arshad..symbolizing destiny meant arshad to realize adityas love ..so that when he sees zoyas struggle to say qubool hai in the mandap..he will know the love was never onesided..

I've said this before and I'll say this again, Arshad backing out will not do zoya's job for her. She'll still have to take steps towards aditya. She will have to confess and the convince him that she loves him and only him. He would not believe it so easily since he already is under the illusion that she would prefer death over being with him. She will have to lay her heart bare before him and that too right in front of her family. She will have to go against her father and society. That is not going to be made easier by arshad backing out (if he backs out)

Secondly she's not being selfish with arshad since she has been upfront with him. Arshad knows she does not love him. He still wants to go through with the marriage (for now) then that's on him.

She can't just forget about everything and go towards aditya since after all she was the one who approach Arshad to renew his proposal. She is in a difficult position. She has realized she loves aditya but she faces the decision she made when she had no idea what her heart was telling her

And we know zoya is more than capable of taking a stand for aditya. Recall the scene where she slapped Arshad for accusing aditya. She stood against the world. She stood against her father. Despite being the person who puts respecting elders above everything else.
