Kunal doesn't seem to know who he loves and who matters to him.
When it came to Nandini it seemed like he'd do absolutely anything for her, that he was ready to face Mauli with the truth, yet when the time came he couldn't say anything.
Then he became desperate for Mauli's forgiveness and for them to have a chance at salvaging their relationship. Seriously why? If he loves Nandini so much that he was ready to mess up his marriage, why does he want to fix things with Mauli? If Nandini had now replaced Jaana, why does Mauli hold so much importance to him?
For me Kunal has always been slightly useless. Always with the big talk, but no actions to prove his worth. He quit a job due to ethics, but didn't have the determination to open his own clinic. Lectured his friend about not having an affair, then chased after his wife's best friend. Told Nandini he would tell Mauli the truth, but didn't have the guts. Wants Mauli's forgiveness, yet talks to Nandini, and leaves home at the first hurdle. This guy basically wants it all, but doesn't want to try for anything.
Kunal wants the independent, capable, smart wife, but also wants the apparently fragile, innocent doll on the side.
I wonder if he'll now have the guts to tell Nandini that he was ready to ditch her to try and fix things with Mauli.
