should bigger stars have more of a say in how their characters behave

the bigger the star the bigger the responsibility is for them to maintain their popularity.

I noticed with Jenny(winget) that she has been also receiving backlash from fans who either feel she should never have done bepanaah as her character is to simple, has not been written properly and is not given importance in the show. or the fan grps are just not happy with her character coz the character is kind of stupid and not in love with the lead yet.

I think most fans, non fans whoever has seen either Jennifer or dhasti act know that these girls are not bad actresses and are darn good in their craft.

for Me I like zoya so I have no issues. but when it comes to nandini and dhasti its a different story.

I dnt mind the subject matter of the show and I would have said big ups to DD if the characterisation of nandini was such that it was a bold character that she was playing who had acted the way she did.

BT I would not watch or want to understand a weak character like nandini. imo that shivering act cannot hold any1s attention for long.

I have watched dhasti in a few of her shows so whatever she is doing in this show I know that she can do the scenes that she does now with ease coz she has done them in the past. its nothing new and its boring watching her cry and focus being made on her big beautiful eyes.

i actually dnt think that DD fans should be offended by the backlash the character is getting coz DD can act and I think this is one of the reasons why she is a talking pt be it on the forum or other social networks.

kunal/shakti can't act hence u dnt see much posts on him. shakti is a useless actor who has made his character bland and boring. the only thing that 1 can say about him is that he is a creep and a loser and nothing more. there is no depth to his character for any1 to want to discuss his behavior and we all know he is wrong.


BT the purpose of my post is that colors has 2 shows with very popular actors and actresses and on both shows fans are not happy with the characterisation of their characters and also the shows are not doing as well as they should.

so the questions is that should the bigger stars not have an input in the characterisations of their character. they living and breathing these characters day in and day out and they know when these characters are not acting in accordance to the characterization. so should they not be giving their opinions about ways written for them.

I think bepanaah and silsila the actors are aware that their fangrps are not happy and the reason that they not happy as well.

this is 1 show wherein the mindset of the trp audience and the online audience is kind of the same. and u can see on these actors face that they know wat is wrong with their characters and they should open their mouths and say no to tracks or dialogues certain times.

I wholeheartedly agree with you! I don't watch Bepannah on a regular basis so won't comment on that but I do watch Silsila and I can say that the plot/ execution/ portrayal of the characters is anything but convincing! Not only the big names but every actor should have a say because in the end it's them blowing life into the characters! Actors can portray a character convincingly if there's a concrete foundation laid for it but in Silsila it's been missing since the beginning unfortunately so they can't do much but I am sure no one's gonna hold a gun to their head to not be able to say no to something they don't find convincing or inappropriate!

No, an actor's job is to play whatever character they're given well. Not influence the writing of their character just so it doesn't affect their popularity.

I just want to say that I completely disagree with you when you say shakti is a useless actor.Rest of the topic I am not interested in,yet.I was just skimming through the post,read your thoughts on shakti as an actor and logged in only to disagree on this particular point😆
