Exclusive: Shahrukh khan is no more a part of the vikram vedha remake.

remake is a validation that the film deserves
much more than just box office and critical
acclaim. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi's
nuanced performances made it the film of
the year in 2017. The Bikram and Betal kind
of treatment made for a great watch. Soon
enough the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha
has been set in motion with Shah Rukh
Khan toplining it. But now we hear that's
not going to happen. A source informs us
that the actor is no longer a part of the
remake of Vikram Vedha. Yes, we are as
heartbroken as you are!
Earlier, we were the first ones to tell you that
Shah Rukh Khan had agreed to do the film
but not without a few changes. Initially, the
makers wanted the actor to play Madhavan's
role in the film because it was the lead
character. But SRK had his heart set on Vijay
Sethupathy's character. In fact, he was
apparently adamant for the same. So when
Neeraj Pandey came on board for the
remake, he convinced the makers that SRK is
apt for Sethupathy's role. Shah Rukh also
didn't want the director duo of the original
film, Pushkar and Gayatri, for the remake.
Since Neeraj is associated with the film, he
wanted the filmmaker to take the director's
chair as well. Guess all this may have been
the reason behind the actor's walkout from
the film.
Vikram Vedha is a tale of a cop and a
gangster. Vikram is a daring Police officer
who is out to hunt down Vedha. The latter
suddenly decides to surrender and spins a
story that leaves Vikram stumped.
