Though Dinesh Vijan's "Stree is not exactly an out and out horror flick, it is probably the first time that horror-comedy as a genre has been accepted and appreciated by the audiences. Stree ranks high on both senses of humor, horror as well as social satire, especially in how it takes a sarcastic take on the treatment of women in society and gender roles which divide men and women in India.
