Hi guys!

New on this forum. Recently got back into Bollywood after a long absence, but only really watching the Indian movies I grew up with (late 90s/early 2000s films). There is just nothing that can beat the charm and innocence of those days! Anyway, along with this rejuvenated interest in Bollywood, I also became a Hrithik Roshan fan. A little tidbit about me: I was never a huge fan of HR. Only really loved him in his debut movie, and in others he was good or I was able to tolerate him. I think my dislike came after I watched MPKDH. Now all that's changed, and even though MPKDH is still embarrassing, I don't dislike him in the film anymore.

But it's weird. Despite never being a fan, I sure did watch ALL of his movies. Every single one. Can't remember why. Gave Yaadein a rewatch too recently and the movie was alright at best, but HR looked gorgeous, especially in the song Jab Dil Miley. He moves like a feather (funny how he's holding one, ain't it). So effortless. And the Hrithik - Kareena chemistry is undeniable.

Anyway, just wanted to share one of my favorite songs of his.

Do any of you have thoughts on this song?

Hello. i am younger than himmo but older than most. I also returned as BW and HR fan after gap of several years. I am not sure why but I have also always loved this song even though I "know " why I shouldn't. We may be great friends 🤗. Welcome!

I watch Yaadein at least twice a year if not more. Don't ask me what is wrong with me. As a young girl I was absolutely obsessed, OBSESSED with Hrithik and Kareena as a pair. How was a pair looking so visually stunning I did not understand. I had never witnessed something like that before in Bollywood. I would watch anything and everything they were in over and over again and yes that also included a national treasure like MPKDH. I like Yaadein with all its thousand flaws that make me cringe. My family want to murder me when I watch it but I will still sing along to eli re eli, cham cham. I have the scenes and dialogues memorized from this movie because I watched it so much.

Basically, this is one of my most favorite movies and I should be ashamed but I am not. I am going to go watch it now. I am due for a watch. I think I only watched it twice this year.

I don't blame you! I remember I was obsessed with Yaadein too when I was a kid, which is why I wanted to give it a rewatch recently. The title track always made me so emotional. But upon the most recent watch, what annoyed me the most were the scenes with Ronit's parents and the other girl. Otherwise, I would have enjoyed the movie a lot more. Sometimes I wish the makers made the movie just based around the time Hrithik and Kareena's characters were in that island, minus the famous crocodile scene of course. 😆 I felt that would have made for some freakin' good love story there.

Anyway, Netflix currently has Yaadein so I might give it a couple more rewatches too before it's gone haha. And as for the Hrithik - Kareena pair, maybe that explains why I watched his early movies again and again. Even MPKDH I watched more than once! 😲 They were just too good together. Always going to have a soft corner for them. Ahhh, childhood memories!

🤣 I needed the laughter so thank you. Don't be ashamed because you're not alone. Although I don't watch it every year, I seen it few times myself. Rest of people don't even ask me why. 😆

You are right, Hrithik looks SOO good in this song. I love the innocence his face had in his intial years. Fiza, mission Kashmir, knph and even this song.

Hrithik was a Rage at this time..I mean he had such a phenomenon that whateva crap he would do, people would just go crazy, people saw him as a replacement to khans. and I remember the trailer and songs of YAADEIN such a craze, Yaadein was a top selling album and most of the song were chartbusters..now genuinely all the songs were average but it did well because of HRITHIK..

but very surprisingly the movie bombed, remember for this movie HR had declined farhan akhtar's dil chahta hai something he would regret his whole life. YAADEIN was not just a bad film but a boring film and HR's looks (not acting) was the only good thing abt the film. Kareena looks bland and she never ever really looked good with Hrithik because despite both of them so good looking, they never had any chemistry.

yaadein's failure surprised all as it was the official big flop for HR i remember that both fiza and mission kashmir were written off as flops by media in 2000 but the fact is that both films did reasonably well at BO. Yaadein was a big setback for HR, although he re-deemed his career with K3G but sadly his choices of bad movies continued all along
