why should zoya be forced to love adi

You have a valid point there.And may be you are first to present Zoya's point of view. Possibily that is what the creatives too are trying to convey. Zoya sees Adi as her friend who has come to her aid over and over again and honestly wants him with her all the time.She sees him as her best friend but at the same time realizes his maverick ways and wants to help him as well just as he has helped her. We have been on a Adi track and not realised how worried Zoya has been with his erratic behaviour...she mentions it to Noor...his standing on the terrace parapet ready to jump off,his drunken scene where he almost would have killed the poor guy if Zoya had not intervened.Clearly she is worried sick with her friends erratic behaviour and as yet no more thaan that. She wants to help him as she thinks he has not come out of his angst with his past.
Meanwhile Aditya has moved to a different level and is totally head over heels in love with Zoya ...a love as he has never felt before. Over confident as he has always been he cannot believe Zoya feels differently and there lies the confusion.
Maybe Zoya has understood Adi's truth but does not have the same feelings towards him ...or she does not yet realise the truth of her feelings.
The fact is that both lost their partners for different reasons...Aditya because he was more friend than lover and Zoya because she was always the lover and not an understanding friend.

It is as simple as that. The narrative is now playing out the reverse for both of them. Aditya is now the unrestrained lover and Zoya in a best friend mode.

Something drastic has to happen for both to wake up to the biggest truth of their lives. That they cannot live without each other and that bepanah pyar is a blend of love above all but held firm on a foundation of friendship.

It is as simple as that.

We just have to wait for the earthquake.Arshad may be the trigger but I think not.I feel Zoya is using Arshad as a shield to keep Aditya in his Majnu avatar at bay. She may be playing with fire but we just have to wait and watch. Aditya will obviously now recede and move onto a Devdas avatar ( HC will nail that brilliantly)

The actual trigger will be Aditya discovering Anjana's truth. He will be shattered and in pieces ...that is the earthquake that will get Zoya to run to him to embrace him and protect him. That is the moment of her realization.

Together they will face the biggest battle of their lives bound by a bepanah pyar.

She was so busy with her career that she has actually no place for love in her life. She has suffered a heartbreak so she doesn't want to go into the path of love again. Yes, Zoya is subconsciously in love with Adi but she doesn't have the time to realize it because she's so busy with her personal life and her career.

She did tell Waseem that she's not ready for marriage but at the same time, she doesn't want to hurt him again. She saw Arshad's good side in the hospital when he was playing with the sick kids. She knows he is a good guy so she gave him a chance.

But I do agree sometimes the dialogues given to her are confusing. In one scene she said if Arshad proves himself to be worthy of her within 2 weeks, she'll think about marriage. In the next episode, she tells she has already decided that she's not going to marry Arshad so after 2 weeks she will reject him. That's why people feel her character is inconsistent.

Frankly speaking, I don't have any problem with Zoya being nice and cordial with Arshad. I agree it's not the right time for Aditya to propose to Zoya because she's not in the position to think about love. She will be in huge dilemma whether to accept his love or reject it and that's going to affect their friendship.

Anyways, after watching the new promo, I feel the cvs are bringing a new twist in the show. I seriously hope Adi backs off now because nor just Zoya's but even Adi's character is being butchered by showing him as a jobless majnu. Hope they show Adi misunderstanding Zoya's concern for Arshad as love and he backs off. It would be a much needed twist.

There's absolutely no pressure that Zoya has to love Adi. Right now Zoya isn't in a position to love or even think of falling in love. She has been betrayed by her husband whom she had loved so crazily. Those wounds will take time to heal. She may look happy outside and has forgiven Yash and moved on, but is she ready to give love another chance , I don't think so. At least not yet. Which is why she's shown to be clueless towards Adi's advances,imo...

Why the frustration is getting worse among fans is coz of the way Adi is shown eager to confess his feelings and his pov isimore clearer & relatable, thus viewers empathize more withhim right now as he's madly in love. If at all they'd shown him to back off a bit and let destiny plays it's role, it'd have been more tolerable. Since its a love story peple expect the feelings to be mutual or develop along the same course of time. Unfortunately the past two three weeks have been a torture as the story has come to a phase where the feelings are one sided and other side seems to be blank. Fans are tend to feel disappointment, as they signed for a Bepanah love story of Adiya for one other and not just one sided love of Adi, I think,! Still that doesn't mean there's pressure that Zoya has to fall for Adi...

The way it's shown is what is making the fans disappointed and not characters exactly, like other members have mentioned already.

My issue with this storyline is, to me personally Zoya is being treated as a doll who is simply smiling. It would be good to have an insight on her mind and internalization about Arshad or Adi for that matter. For me it is out of character that after what happened in the past and how morose Adi was that he suddenly loves Zoya and is chasing after her like mad, expecting her to say yes. Actually I do not even blame Adi when Arjun and Noor are spurring him on with their childish BS.

From a writer's POV, someone consistently friendzoning the lead puts me off a bit. Ofcourse everyone has their preference and some people may not care but in a romantic show maybe I would like to see attraction from both sides EVEN if one of them do not necessarily love the person.

Lmao Arjun low key yells whenever Adi does not agree with what he is saying - that character has grated on me from the start. I do not like the way he speaks to his brother and is self righteous AF.
