Part Twenty One
Here he was thinking that she had a perfect family and people to go to. But when the reality came down, he realised that her state was even worse than him. At least didn't had people who will betray him and neither did he trusted anyone except Ashok and her. But right now the thing that was necessary was her safety. At least not as someone he lives with or maybe as someone he had his life with. Right now all that mattered was to keep her safe and that is what he is going to do. So brushing off all the other thoughts, he decided to focus on this.
"Hey buddy said Ashok barging inside his office. "You should remember that I am your boss he gave him a look. "Oh come on... as if you will stop me Ashok said sitting on the chair with one of his hand over the seat and his legs crossed. "What is the matter? he asked taking his seat. "So going for honeymoon huh Ashok smirked and he rolled his eyes. "Destination please Mr Oberoi? Ashok mimicked a reporter. "Why should I tell you? So that you barge in my hon-vacation too? he said standing up so that he doesn't has to face his idiot of a friend.
"Hon-vacation huh? New concept I must say Ashok patted his shoulders. "But on a serious note Om.. try telling her everything in this time. I know the time is way too less... but still.. try telling her the truth. Maybe she reacts positively. And maybe.. just maybe she forgives you.. because you yourself know that it was a sin that eventually stuck him. Hell he didn't think anything about this matter. And right now this is the most important matter. Because to win her trust he has to keep the truth in front of her.
"But she will... she will leave.. he spoke not having the courage enough to speak the full line. "Seriously Omkara... Right now your concern should be to get her faith... you are her husband.. for God's sake... You are not bound to hide something like this from her. What are you making her? A bl**dy sl*t? Ashok stopped as his hand landed over his chin. "Look... I told you.. you are in love Omkara Singh Oberoi... you are in love with your wife Ashok grinned. "Shut your b*oody mouth Ashok.. I am not in this love thing and I will never be. It's just the guilt that I have done something like this to her when she had never done this before. She deserved a beautiful one... and with someone who would love and cherish her for life. Not me... I don't love her his eyes were blazing.
Ashok gritted her teeth and immediately held his collar tight "listen and listen to me very carefully Mr Omkara Singh Oberoi. I am not the naive and simple girl who you could shut up by shouting like this. I am not your father who you could stop by just turning him off. And neither am I one of your employees who would just leave you struggling like this when you need that person the most Ashok's eyes held his.

That there was a rich, arrogant and jerk of a billionaire who once got drunk because I left his house heartbroken due to his ex-girlfriend so he decided to visit me and since I too was drunk he brutally snatched my virginity. And you know what? I didn't even know about this because he thought I will leave. You plan this Omkara? Ashok shouted.
"I.. no... I... I... he was cut off by a sound of someone falling on the ground. Both of them snapped their heads to find her on the ground with files scattered all over. "Jaan he spoke and rushed to her with Ashok behind. He reached her and saw her trying to stand but again falling on the the ground again. He tried to get her hand but "No... don't touch me she held her hand out stopping him. "I.. I am sorry. I.. shou... should have kno.. knocked she spoke in a cracked voice. "Jaan... It's not like that... she stopped him again. "Save it Mr Oberoi... and she ran with all what she had away from him.
"Sh*t he punched the table top. "I didn't know she was... Ashok sighed. "I am sorry Ashok said facing him. "But what should I do know? he held his table for support. "Punch yourself hard Ashok suggested. "Huh? he gave him a confused look. "Idiot run after her and tell her all by yourself. Make her understand and try to mend this; anything that you both have in between you too. What you don't call love Ashok rolled his eyes at Omkara. "I... I should.. I Ashok sighed. "Runnn Ashok shouted signalling towards the door.
He ran after her trying to find her in whole office. He searched her everywhere but she was nowhere seen. "Where are you? he sighed sadly with his shoulders dropping. He immediately called the reception "yes sir came the voice. "Has Mrs Oberoi left the building? he asked. "Yes... yes sir... about some minutes ago she answered after hearing his loud voice. He disconnected and opened an application to trace her cell. "Shi*t no he ran knowing that she was heading to Rajeev's house.
"You don't even know what you are doing Gauri he said starting his car. He drove like a maniac only finding her on any road according to the GPS tracker.
She was broken after everything that she heard. What to do? How to react? What to say? She knew nothing about it. She had lost the most treasured gift of a woman's life and she didn't even know about this. She didn't even know about how, where and when did it happen. Nothing... She just knew nothing at all about that day. She kept on walking on a silent road without a knowledge of where was she going. Her blurry eyes just made her mind believe that she was somewhere near her home.
But she had decided to not to go home. She cannot.. what will she say to her brother... to her sister in law.. to Richa?
She cannot tell the whole incident that happened with her. Apart from that... Omkara was still the same ruthless man. What if he does something to them? She didn't know where to go to. But then she got a place and ran towards it with all her strength. She ran away from any of the houses. Away from any hustle bustle. Away from any place. She stopped at a temple. The temple she visited with her mom and dad just before they met with the accident.
She came inside the temple. It was as usual... quiet away from any noise with a Shivalinga' placed in the middle of the main temple. The place was away from the city. Not many people visited here and that is what her father liked. This temple had peace and calmness.
She stormed inside the temple and stood right in front the statue. "What do you want? Why always it is me who you take sacrifices from? You snatched my real mom and dad and I spoke nothing. You snatched maa and paa and I said nothing then too. You took away my peace, my loved ones, my childhood. I. Said. Nothing her eyes were blazing, asking questions from the statue. "Just when I thought I have someone with me. Just when I thought I can trust the man who forced me to this marriage. I get to know that he had brutally snatched my innocence too? What is my fault? Why am I being punished like this she dropped to the ground; crying bitterly. "Kya chahiye aapko? Main hi kyun? she said with her choking voice in between her sobs.
Just then his car stopped at the temple and struggling in between the rains; he rushed inside the temple. "Main hi kyun? he heard her say. As he entered inside, he found a temple, totally vacant and the only one there was her crying bitterly; almost shaking. "Kyun baar baar mujhe hi har pariksha se guzarna padta hai? (Why everytime I only have to give all the tests) this priched his heart. She was all broken and vulnerable.
"Jaan he spoke in a soft voice. She hurriedly wiped her tears. "Jaan.. I... I am... she cuts him "What do you want now? she spoke with her most cruel voice. He could hear the crackling of broken pieces inside her. "Tell me Mr Oberoi. What do you want? Didn't get any girl to warm your bed this time. You can blackmail one easily. What will you do of me now? she said keeping her palm over her lips. Faking a shocked expressions. "Use me again and thr.. he cuts her "Gaurii his voice as loud as thunder. "Chillaiye mat (Don't shout) her eyes matching his.
"Look I know I have done a mistake... she cuts him again. "Mistake... You call this just a mistake? I thought this is a play going on and at the end Mr Omkara Singh Oberoi will win she said. "I know what I have done is something that you cannot forget but I also was drunk and it... it was just a... coincidental mistake he didn't had words to phrase them. She laughed at him, with tears in her eyes "coincidental mistake... Aap theek toh hain naa... she said checking his forehead. "gauri he brought her hands down. "What you have done today has left a big scar here... right here she pointed towards her heart. "A scar that won't heal and with that she started out. "And don't worry. I am not leaving you; because I cannot betray my family like this. I cannot leave them on the road and she went out.
For the first time in these years Omkara Singh Oberoi felt worthless. It felt as if whatever he had and whatever he earned was nothing worth it as just now he lost his most precious gift. In the temple right in front of God, she said she won't leave him. But she had already left him. And then he realised that he loved her. He loved her since the day he saw her in the mall. He fell every single day for her, more and more. The just now, the person who crossed him was the most important person of his life. His Gauri. His jaan
