What if Mamta decided to leave with PaRit?

But That will make Rishabh hate Rithwik more as he will feel abandoned

I thought of this - VP wont let that happen and may stop Rithwik. Magar afsos aisa kuch nahi hoga

This is highly unlikely. Coz even though Mamta loves Ritwik, her family has other kids too. She might keep in touch with them but leaving them is unlikely.

I think that's coz they sort of changed VP's character too. And, I personally think it is the writer, coz otherwise, there is nothing else that has changed. In the initial 26-30 episodes, VP was shown amazingly chilled out, and then suddenly, after that kiss, Ritwik got all confused coz that's what VP wanted and shit.
And VP wasn't like this earlier, he'd listen to people and he wasn't the least bit authoritarian. Not unreasonably at least.

But, I guess they realised if everyone were good, the story wouldn't move forward.😆

I don't think they changed it suddenly. They always wanted to show this. There was one scene in early episode between VP-Mamta where he says he is allcool and chill but time aane pe he can become strict and tough. It felt like it was forecasting. I don't remember episode now.

I think mamta is very smart and intellligent. She knows how to handle situation without breaking relationships. In this case, rishabh and VP are so against of palak, if she takes opposite stand firmly her entire house will get divided and no woman wants it. She wants to handle and sort this out in a way that it doesn't break her house.

Many times we need to take a step back and give time for larger things (for mamta its harmony between her all kids) even when we are right. She won't be just thinking snout Ritwiks happiness but also her other family members should be ok with it. Else it's permanent damage.

@kankabhor - I know they always wanted to show this. But it made more sense to show it in K3G, where the family is highly and openly patriarchal ... its always a "keh diya na bas keh diya", and the wife was always shown as someone who stood in her husband's shadow
Here the characters were painted very differently - and they have shown Mamta as a person with a voice, an equal partner. My peeve is that VP and Mamta are not discussing his decision amongst themselves, and she is not able to get thru her own thoughts on this

Its actually a bit weird that a son played his father (the business tycoon) and at least one of the parents did not have a say in it ... no private discussion, nothing.
