I think he's his son or nephew, that fall at the start fits with your prediction but I don't know if marriage of second cousins is acceptable in India

I don't think there is an ulterior motive behind having the kid. In KKB and KRPKB, there was a boy living with the ML's family, who is first enemies with the kid and then then they turn friends, it's been shown before in separation tracks.

They never stated the exact relationship, he called him chechera bhai, but if his father was KN's brother, shouldn't his share be 30% because of Manohar's share?

Maybe his father was KN's cousin, like Vivaan and Suraj.
