This starts from where they have left in first promo...the bridgeš
Of all the places he hadn't thought he will find Palak here. It has been 7 months since he last saw her, held her in his arms...7 months to the day she walked away crushing his heart. He tried finding her but it was like she disappeared in thin air. It was getting too difficult for him to live in that same place where he shared so many moments with her therefore he relocated in Kolkata.
He took in her appearance. Nothing has changed about her but still so much has changed. All the moments spent with her played in front of him like a movie. Even after all this time...even after what she put him through...he could feel his heart fluttering at sight of her. The urge to crush her in his arms was very strong.
A guy came from somewhere and handed her red umbrella and left from there. Without giving him a second glance she turned and started walking from there.
Not this time Palak Sharma! He thought.
"Aadat badli nhi tumhari...of running away from confrontations" He spoke from behind making her halt in her steps.
He continued "I hope you recognized me"
She finally turned and gave him a short glance "ofcourse. I don't have a weak memory. You should know that"
His expressions changed as he remembered what exactly happened 7 months back "ofcourse I know that" he hissed giving her a glare.
"I hope you celebrated your victory well with your best friend. After all you managed to beat me in my own game" "broke the heart of heart-breaker"
Palak gave him a wary smile "it was fun. Someone needed to teach you the lesson. I took the job on me"
He smiled "Congratulations! you really did a good job"
"I need to go"
He held her hand as she turned to leave "how many times will you walk away from me? I have only one heart that is also functioning poorly"
As if on cue the rain started pouring heavily. Palak reached for her umbrella but he turned and pulled her towards him.
"Rithwik..what are you doing? Let go" she started struggling in his hold.
He kept staring at her unfazed "why are you not meeting my eyes, Palak?"
"Let go, you are hurting me"
"Are u afraid that I will see right through your lies?"
She remained silent and tried to get free from his hold.
"Palak, how could u even think I would believe whatever sh*t you fed me that day?" He pulled her even more closer if that was even possible. Their bodies were glued to each other.
Her body shivered as they were completely drenched in rain but Rithwik knew rain had hardly any part in that. It was his affect on Palak. After all one can't control how the body reacts.
"For the first time someone has rejected you that is why you have lost your mind. It was all revenge for me"
"Revenge! Right?" He nodded his head "you refusing to leave me alone with goons in jungle was part of revenge?" he dug his nails in her arms
She nodded "yes"
"You being ready to die for me was revenge?"
"Yes"
"You kissing me back was revenge?"
She paused and closing her eyes whispered "yes. It was all revenge" she gave him a one final hard push releasing herself from his clutches.
They both glanced at each other. Her eyes troubled whereas his were unreadable. There was total silence before Rithwik stepped forward hauling her in his arms once again and covering her lips with his. There was no resistance from Palak's side as she equally participated. He exerted pressure on her lips and she opened her mouth as an invitation to him. The kiss went on till they it became really urgent for them to pull back and breathe.
He removed the whisks of hair from her face and caressed her cheeks with his thumb "I know what Dad did...you had no right to take decision for me. It was my choice to make. If my family couldn't understand my love for you it was my duty to clear things out with them. You didn't have to walk away leaving me miserable and pinning for you"
As his words registered Palak was out of the trance and pulled away from her "what are you doing here, Rithwik?"
He smiled ruefully looking at her "Remember when you said I will fall so deep in love that I will leave everything for that person and that person will leave me..well here I am, I left everything for you and you left me"
She closed her eyes in remorse "Rithwik. I never wanted this to happen"
He just smiled in response as she struggled to form some words.
"Palak. Do u love me?"
She opened her mouth to answer but he cut her "don't lie this time. You have reduced me to this self doubting man from a Playboy. My poor heart won't be able to take more of your lies now"
"We are not right for each other"
"No" Rithwik shook his head "we got so involved in making things right for others that we actually complicated things for ourselves"
"You have more to loose." She tried to remind him of consequences.
"I am already a lost man without you"
"Your family will never accept us"
"Palak Sharma. Do you love me?" He asked with a resolve.
"Do I really need to state it in words?" Finally he managed to break down her walls.
"After the hell you have put me through...I deserve to hear it"
She frowned and bit his arm "What makes you think u were the only one in hell?"
"Say it and I promise.. I'll take you to heaven" he flashed his dimpled smile at her which he knew will definitely work it's magic.
"How can I not fall in love with this smile? Yes, Rithwik Noon, I Love You"
A real smile formed on his lips after ages as he pulled her into his arms "never ever try to be *jagat mata* again. Let me decide for myself"
"I-I was just..." He kept his finger on her lips "I know" he joined their heads "the deal is sealed now"
"Not yet" she whispered and leaned forward and softly kissed his lips "now it is. Sealed with a kiss"
He chuckled "u need to learn a lot Palak Sharma...but don't worry I'll teach you" he leaned forward and sealed and the deal for forever.
