Introduction :

Being a woman is the best gift one can ever get.

'Sharm', 'shyness', 'lajja' - say it whatever, is the main essence of a woman. An ornament that beautifies a woman like no other ornament can! It's a blessing for a woman.

'Marriage'! The word holds so many emotions for a girl; a woman. And the first word that one relates to marriage is 'lajja'! The bond that a man and a woman shares comprises of love, understanding, faith and 'lajja'!

But this beautiful word 'lajja' when gets attached to something which symbolizes - hatred; humiliation, the same word becomes the biggest curse in a woman's life!

We are aware of the prejudices that prevail in our society. What if a woman gets bold enough to decide whether she wants to stay in an unwanted relationship any longer or not and decides to break free of that relationship, forgetting all her 'lajja'? Would the world accept her? Or would the prejudices become the obstacle like always?

Come let's see what happens with Naina!

1. TOLERANCE

"Bhai Captain sahab humein to samajh hi nahi aata ke aap log kis tarah aurton ke haathon mein iss desh ko saump kar nishchint ho kar sotey hain.",

says the chauvinist man, holding the glass of alcohol in his hand, laughing sarcastically.

Smiling sarcastically, Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan replies back, making the man learn what an important role women play in the development of the country,

"Ye jo aap aur hum yahan chain se baith pa rahe hain na Rathore Babu, wo isilye baith pa rahe hain kyunki wahan...",

Abhimanyu indicates with his index finger towards the infinity and continues,

"Sarhad par kayi jawaan apni jaanein jokhim mein daal kar humari rakhwali kar rahe hain. Aur unn jawanon mein aurtein bohot zada na sahi magar hain, bohot hain!",

his eyes burn with rage but the smile on his face remains constant. It is not in Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan's nature to be impolite with anyone but try how hard might he, his eyes betray his this nature and hence it reveals all that his sugar coated words hide!

The man gulps his saliva, and that sends the signal to Abhimanyu that the work here has been done!

Faking a laughter, the man says,

"Arey Chauhan Sahab, aap to bura maan gaye!"

His address drags Abhimanyu's attention and he glares him.

Getting up, he holds the man by his neck, putting a little pressure on it but the pressure since came as a surprise for the man succeeds in doing Abhimanyu's work of building fear in the man in fact more than what was required.

"Mera naam Abhimanyu hai. Call me that. Chauhan Sahab bulane ki ijazat sirf kuch khas logo ko hi hai. Samjhe ya samjhaun?",

he asks, uttering each of his above words slowly, to make himself clear.

"Samjh... Samjh gya... Sir!",

utters the terrified man who is completely at Abhimanyu's mercy.

"I don't have that tolerance power, aur ye baat aap achi tarah jante hain. To aisa kuch karte hi kyun hain ke meri tolerance power kam ho?",

asks Abhimanyu after retreating back on his sofa, in a sugar coated voice as if nothing has happened between them, no heated argument took place.

"Maaf... Maaf kijiye... Main...",

apologizes the terrified man.

The man gets interrupted by the soft opening of the door of Abhimanyu's room.

He turns to look towards the door and discovers Naintara draped in a beautiful dark blue coloured saree with golden work on it. Naintara hesitantly looks up unaware about whom will her eyes meet first - the man or the devil in front of her?

Abhimanyu glares her, taking a deep breath and trying to calm down his nerves. He has to tolerate her presence and keep his anger for her shielded from the man he is dealing with and his men who are standing in the room guarding him.

Plastering a smile on his face, he asks Naina,

"Naintara aap yahan?"

His taking this name gives Naina an adrenaline rush. All the sufferings till date comes rushing back to her.

Abhimanyu waits for her reply. She knows how impatient he is, so why does she make him wait for her reply? Tolerating her silent self is way too much for Abhimanyu.

But did he ever ask her how does it feel like to tolerate his impatient self? How does it feel when she fails to meet his demands?

What goes on thereafter gives the evidence of the fact that who bears more tolerance power between the two! But then who really needs evidence when all know already?

"Ahmm... aap apna dusra wala phone bhul gaye the room mein to wohi dene ayi thi.",

says Naintara, hesitantly, nervously, trying to refrain from looking towards him as much as possible.

"To hum baad mein le lete na Naintara?",

says Abhimanyu, grinding his teeth to keep his anger under control.

"Mujhe laga...",

saying so she looks up towards Abhimanyu but halts abruptly.

Abhimanyu knits his brows, unable to understand what made her to stop abruptly.

Naintara knits her brows too, lightly, nervously. Lowering her eyes, she adjusts her saree pulling it lightly, hesitantly to cover her exposed waist. She notices how the man is enjoying the feast of the minute glimpse of her sleek figure.

Had it been days like earlier, Naina would have taught him a good lesson for this audacity of his. But today the situation is different altogether. Naintara is bound to tolerate it silently.

Abhimanyu on realizing the matter, shifts his gaze from Naintara to the man.

His anger increases with each passing moment. He keeps glaring the man.

Thanks to Naina's intervening or else Abhimanyu might have murdered the man right there.

"Phone aa raha tha. Mujhe laga shayad important ho?",

Naina completes her words quickly and extends her hand holding his mobile.

"Hmm...",

saying so Abhimanyu takes the phone from her and gets indulged into the call.

He walks towards the window, speaking over the phone.

This gives the man the opportunity to give a feast to his eyes and he starts gawking Naina. He couldn't help for long and a devilish smile comes on his face as he gawks Naina from up to down. In his mind he has already started undoing her saree.

Naina who has a sharp instinct and understands what's going on in one's mind, just by his expressions, tolerates his unfiltered gaze on her. The ill mannered gawking of his.

Lajja is what she feels right now! But all in a negative way! Lajja which is treated as an ornament of women has the power to strangle the same women to death too because of men like these!

Feeling suffocated, she gives a glance towards Abhimanyu who is engrossed in his call and finally decides to leave without his permission. But may be god is not in her favour even today, like always, so as she turns she unconsciously pushes the table on which was kept a beautiful glass flower vase from ancient time.

The sound of shattering of the glass skips the heartbeats of one and all there!

Naintara, who is completely aware of Abhimanyu's love for antiques, ancient stuffs gets terrified as she realizes that this won't be ignored by Abhimanyu.

Terrified Naintara straightaway looks towards Abhimanyu.

Abhimanyu who by now has turned to know what just happened has his eyes on the broken vase. Shutting his eyes he takes a deep breath, calming his nerves. Opening his eyes he gives a look towards Naina and turns away.

Naintara's terror increases with each passing moment.

"Humein KMA se aur KMA ko humse koi alag nahi kar sakta!",

says Abhimanyu to the caller.

His words send shivers down Naina's spine.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Rajveer's face floats in front of her eyes. Her throat chokes out of so many emotions. Her eyes turn teary.

"Sir apse milne koi ...",

says one of Abhimanyu's men entering his room, unaware of the fact that Abhimanyu is on call.

Naina who turns to look towards the man on hearing him stares him, feeling pity on him. He is also a victim of Abhimanyu's anger.

The man stops abruptly on discovering Abhimanyu on call.

Naina, who once had zero tolerance for violence without any important reason, has turned timid to such an extent that she not only tolerates and endures it each day but also has given up hope of getting out of this chaos ever in her life.

After ending the call, Abhimanyu turns to look towards his servant and orders him,

"Jo koi bhi hai unhe baithne ko kahiye. Hum abhi atey hain."

Bowing his head the servant turns to leave that Abhimanyu calls him back saying,

"Aur... yahan kanch tuta hai, isse saaf karwa dijiyega. Sambhal kar jaiyega apko kanch na chubh jaye.",

he warns the servant, smiling genuinely.

Standing at her place Naintara turns to look towards Abhimanyu. A certain kind of sadness fills her eyes. These kind of moments make her go nostalgic. In moments such as this one, she gets to meet the Abhimanyu she knew once; her music teacher Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan. Where does he vanish after these little moments? - she wonders, her eyes filled with sorrow.

Abhimanyu turns to look towards the man and his smile vanishes with in seconds and fresh anger envelopes his face.

"Ab tak to aap iss baat se wakif ho hi gaye honge ke humein ye katayi pasand nahi ke koi humari cheez par nazar daley?",

asks Abhimanyu, walking towards the man, rubbing his hands together. His eyes on his rubbing hands.

The man wipes off his sweat with his handkerchief staring Abhimanyu throughout, terrified.

Naina relaxes her brows as her heartbeat picks up pace on hearing Abhimanyu's words and within fraction of seconds she knits her brows back.

She gets reminded of his possessive self!

"Ji... maaf kariye... wo...",

the man begins to apologize, gulping his saliva every now and then out of fear of Abhimanyu.

"Kis kis cheez ke liye maaf karein hum apko? Apne arms and ammunition galat hathon mein diye uske liye maaf karein?",

asks Abhimanyu, looking towards the man, his voice reflects his increasing anger.

Sweat beads start getting collected behind the man's neck as the fact that Abhimanyu has discovered about his deed makes the man go numb.

Naina knits her brows all the more hearing that. Her tolerance power is diminishing gradually.

"Apne humara phone tap kiya uske liye maaf karein?",

he asks holding the handles of the chair.

Naina's heartbeat picks up pace.

Bending into him such that the man pushes himself back terrified on witnessing the rage and anger in Abhimanyu's eyes.

"Bataiye, kis kis ke liye maaf karein hum apko?",

repeats Abhimanyu.

Naina looks back towards Abhimanyu. Her eyes on the verge of getting tears. She feels as if those words were directed towards her.

Whispering into his ears, Abhimanyu asks,

"Aap jante hain na humein violence, shor sharaba pasand nahi?"

His question makes the man to gulp his saliva again as his throat keeps on getting dry out of fear.

"Fir bhi aap aisi harkatein karke, humein majboor karte hain ki hum shor sharaba karein!",

taunts Abhimanyu.

The man's rate of heartbeat increases tremendously.

"Wo jisse aap dekh rahe the, jante hain na wo kon hain?",

he asks, terrifying the man all the more.

His question skips not only the man's heartbeat but Naintara's alike. She feels lajja on becoming the subject of their conversation and that too a conversation like this!

"Humari biwi - Naintara.Rai. Chauhan!",

Abhimanyu utters each word slowly and clearly to make the man to memorize it.

Naina standing at her place holds back her tears as she witnesses the over protective side of Abhimanyu for the umpteenth time. His words remind her again that yes she is Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan's wife Naintara Rai Chauhan! She bites her lower lip out of overwhelming emotion of fear and helplessness.

His possessiveness which once she used to take as his good quality, today after marrying him for over an year, she takes as a subject of tolerance and nothing more than that! It suffocates her!

Unable to endure this anymore, Naina turns and leaves the room, closing the door behind her. Her eyes get filled with tears.

~*~*~

The sound of her anklets drags the attention of the man waiting for Abhimanyu at the sitting area.

With an instinct of a true soldier it doesn't take him time to know where the sound is coming from and he straightaway looks up towards the source of sound and what he discovers makes his heart to break into million pieces. Till now he had only heard but now he needs to face this. Shutting the file he had been reading, that he brought, he places on the center table, never taking away his eyes from her.

If he is a true soldier; then the same has to be said for her as well. Whilst walking forward lost in her thoughts about how her life has changed drastically, she feels someone's eyes on her. Holding the grill of the staircase, Naintara peeps down to know who it is! What catches her eyes, sends shivers down her spine. Her feet get freezed at their place.

His eyes when meet hers convert her back into Naina!

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

They stare each other for what feels like eternity.

When it gets suffocating, Naina lowers her eyes, holding back her tears. She again looks towards Rajveer. Rajveer doesn't fail to notice the longing and sorrow in her eyes. Although cladded in expensive designer saree and jewelleries, her eyes and soul seemed to Rajveer as empty entities.

Rajveer tolerates witnessing the real Naina hiding behind Naintara. She is sad; she is alone, this he succeeds in understanding within moments.

Naina reaches him trying to avoid eye contact with Rajveer as much as possible.

Rajveer keeps staring her; gauging her each reaction. He doesn't understand why he doesn't get good vibes from her. Her demeanor gives him all negative vibes.

As they settle down, initially he thinks of staying quiet. But unable to tolerate it for long he breaks the ice.

"Duriyan itni badh gayi ke tumne ye janne ki bhi koshish nahi ki ke main kaisa hun?",

asks Rajveer, settling down at the sitting area, avoiding to look towards her while speaking this line and finally looks towards her having completed saying it.

Naina's heart clenches hearing that. Only if she could tell him what or rather who stopped her from contacting him!

The servant arrives with the tray carrying snacks and tea. The servant prepares the tea and was about to add two cubes of sugar that Naina interrupts him,

"Nahi, bus ek chammach!"

Rajveer remembers how during appraisal days, she had prepared tea for him several times. His heart contracts thinking how times have changed drastically today. He quickly diverts his mind!

When the servant serves the snacks, Naina cross checks by asking the servant,

"Ye lal dabbe se liya hai na? Uss mein namak kam tha. Inhe zada namak wala mat dena."

The servant nods his head into affirmative, confirming that the snack has been given from the exact container that she is mentioning.

This skips Rajveer's heartbeat. She remembers what he likes and what he dislikes. How he leads his life. And what breaks his heart is - this is the not the Naina he used to know.

Naina prepares a plate for Rajveer. Rajveer who was gauging her each reaction; notices the marks on Naina's wrist. The marks make him to knit his brows. The thought that she had been hurt, pierces his heart.

She forwards the plate in front of him, her lowered eyes rise up to look at him in horror when he suddenly holds her wrist to examine the marks closely.

"Aap... aap ye kya kar rahe hain?",

asks Naina, terrified.

"Tolerate!",

replies Rajveer, though casually, yet the anger evident in his voice, his eyes examining her wound.

"Ye chont kaise lagi tumhe?",

asks Rajveer, never looking away from her wound.

"Mujhe nahi pata. Aur main apko kuch bhi batana zaruri nahi samjhti.",

says Naina, placing the plate back on the table with her free hand, showing her anger.

The fact that any passerby servant if witnesses this, what would be the consequences, sends shivers to run down Naina's spine. She looks here and there nervously to make sure that no one is there. She tries pulling her hand back, but his firm though not tight enough to suffocate her, refrains her from pulling away her hand.

Her words set Rajveer's heart into beating at a tremendous pace. He glares her and grinding his teeth, he says,

"Batana zaruri nahi samjha isliye to tum mere paas nahi main tumhare paas aya hun!"

His scolding sends shivers to run down Naina's spine and makes Naina to turn to look towards him.

"Kitne din ho gaye hain mujhe wapas aye hue Naina?",

asks Rajveer, showering all his anger and frustration through his words.

His anger and frustration more than towards her is towards the helpless situation he is in!

Naina keeps her eyes lowered not having guts to meet Rajveer's eyes.

"Tumne ek baar bhi koshish ki mujhse milne ki? Ye janne ki ke main kaisa hun?",

Asks Rajveer, anger and hurt audible in his voice.

"And... Abhimanyu Naina???",

he asks, spitting venom through his words, unable to accept the truth.

"Kyun?? Kyun???",

he demands an answer, although aware that he wouldn't get one.

"Academy mein darta tha tumse kuch kehne se ye soch kar ke shayad tum relationship, shadi and all ke liye kabhi tayar hi nahi hogi!",

says Rajveer, spitting venom through his each word.

Naina looks towards him, with sorrowful eyes.

"Nahi pata tha ke mere peeth peeche ye sub ho raha hai!",

accuses Rajveer.

Naina stares him in disbelief.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins as they stare each other)

Naina looks away without saying anything. She realizes that when she can tolerate Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan's ill treatment; so why not Rajveer's? After all Rajveer has full right to be angry on her. She did betray his trust. She couldn't wait for him till eternity. She just couldn't!

But as much frustrated he is, she is too! And she knows once he goes away, she might not get another opportunity to meet him and talk to him. So she decides to make the best use of this opportunity.

"Kya ho raha tha apke peeth peeche? Haan?",

asks an anxious, frustrated and angry Naina, keeping her voice low, fearing that Abhimanyu might hear her speaking.

Rajveer looks away, hating to look towards her when they are discussing this topic.

Looking back towards her, Rajveer scolds her,

"Ye mat sochna Naina ke academy mein tumhare aur Chauhan ke beech mein jo ho raha tha usse main anjaan tha!"

Naina looks towards him in disbelief.

"You were all into Abhimanyu Naina!",

accuses Rajveer, taking Naina by shock.

"Tumhari nafrat jitni mere liye thi usse kayi gunah zada pyar tumhara Chauhan ke liye tha!",

says Rajveer, spitting venom through his each word.

Unable to resist any longer, out of anger, Naina gets up free her hand from his hold and holds Rajveer by his collar,

"How dare you say that? Apki himmat kaise hui ye baat kehne ki?",

she starts crying out of anger.

They keep staring each other. Rajveer gives her full liberty to pour all her anger on to him. He tolerates it boldly. He wraps his hand around her waist to give her support to maintain the posture, as he understands that it might get tiring for her soon.

(RAINA revolt tune continues)

"Jo such hai main bus wohi keh raha hun!",

he says, never looking away from her, provoking her to scold him, hurt him.

Her eyes fill with tears of frustration and helplessness but she doesn't let the tears to flow down.

"I am tolerating your presence here at my home Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, just out of curtosy!",

she scolds him, tear rolls down her eyes finally as she feels how hollow her words sound.

Rajveer smirks on hearing her. He doesn't have to know whether she is tolerating him or enjoying his presence. Because he already knows!

"Or else what would have you done, if given an opportunity to shed off your curtosy?",

provokes Rajveer.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune continues)

Naina glares him feeling offended because of his audacity to ask back the question to him.

"Kis haq se aap mujhse sawaal kar rahe hain ke maine Abhimanyu ko kyun chuna? Ya main apse milne kyun nahi ayi? Bataiye?",

asks Naina, angry.

Rajveer glares her.

"At least Abhimanyu apki tarah to nahi hain jo apni dil ki baat chupa kar rakhe? Darpok!",

she accuses him, her each word bitter.

This pierces Rajveer's heart.

"At least Abhimanyu apki tarah to nahi jo engagement, shadi ko mazak samjhe!",

taunts Naina.

Her words skip Rajveer's heartbeat as he realizes that she is indicating towards his engagement with Dr. Mishra that took place in the academy.

"Haan hun main darpok!",

Rajveer scolds her, keeping his voice under check. His hand puts pressure on her wrist.

"Darta tha ke agar tumhe such bata diya aur tumne accept nahi ki meri feelings to dard sirf mujhe hi nahi, tumhe bhi hoga!",

scolds Rajveer out of frustration.

Naina knits her brows as it comes as a surprise for her.

"Mujhe?",

she asks, confused.

"Kya such janne ke baad aur such ko accept na karne ke baad tum mere saath teacher student ka relation maintain kar pati Naina?",

asks Rajveer, angry.

Naina stares him shocked as the realization dawns upon her.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

"Par tumne kya kiya Naina? Maine to tumse kiya hua apna wada nibhaya tod di thi apni engagement Dr. Mishra se. Par kya tum apna wada nibha payi?",

asks Rajveer, daring her to answer, losing his patience with each passing moment.

"Wada? Konsa wada?",

asks Naina, confused.

"Tum mere saath chalna chahti thi na Naina?",

asks Rajveer, spitting venom through his words.

"Socha tha bhaley hi main uss waqt tumhe saath nahi le ja pa raha lekin agar kismat mein hua aur main wapas laut paya, to yakeenan tum mera intezar kar rahi hogi!",

says Rajveer, showering all his anger on her through his words.

"Par wapas aakar kya mila mujhe? Ke tumne saath chalne ke liye puri zindagi bhaar ke liye kisi aur ko hi chunn liya?",

asks Rajveer, looking straight into her eyes.

Naina feels extremely guilty and goes speechless.

Lajja is what she feels right now on her deed. She shouldn't have married Abhimanyu, she realizes for the umpteenth time.

Looking back towards him, she tries to explain,

"Main..."

The three loud claps drag the attention of Rajveer and Naina and they realize their position.

In a horror, Naina turns to discover Abhimanyu there!

Naina feels extremely shy, awkward and stuck more between the two men than between Rajveer's body and his arm that's wrapping her waist.

The magnitude of her Lajja increases with each passing moment!

But oh how much is this lajja different from what she used to feel earlier in Rajveer's presence around her during her academic days, she wonders!

Rajveer slowly leaves her giving her time and space to get up carefully and comfortably. And also because he understands that he has given her a lot to think about!

Doing so she quickly looks towards Abhimanyu. Rajveer keeps staring Naina and gauges her sudden change in demeanor that he witnesses since the moment Abhimanyu had entered the place.

"Lagta hai humne aap dono ko disturb kiya?",

taunts Abhimanyu, flashing his devilish smile, staring Naina.

Naina self consciously adjusts her strand of hair behind her ear.

"Chauhan...",

Rajveer begins to protest.

"A... a... a... Raj...",

smiles Abhimanyu sarcastically and continues,

"You know what Raj ek saal ho gaya hai humein aur Naintara...",

he trails off, smiling he waves his index finger, his eyes cascaded down.

He looks back towards Rajveer and rectifies,

"Naina ko...",

and looks towards Naina, smiling sarcastically and continues,

"Shadi kiye hue!"

Naina stares Abhimanyu, tensed.

Rajveer converts his hands into fists as guilt, anger, frustration surge through him.

"Par aaj tak hum apne rishte ko agey nahi barha paye!",

says Abhimanyu, his voice reflects his failure in making Naina realize how much he loves her.

This skips Naina's heartbeat. Discussing such topic in front of Rajveer makes Naina feel extremely uncomfortable. She widens her eyes, staring Abhimanyu in shock. She gets a desperate urge to stop him but she understands that there is no other option but to tolerate it all.

Rajveer looks towards Naina, widening his eyes, understanding her discomfort. But at the same time the fact touches his heart. This makes him to learn that she is still untouched; waiting for him to make her complete.

Rajveer though at the moment finds it impossible for their togetherness but this fact Rajveer doesn't understand why and how give him hope! Hope about a future with Naina. Hope about a fearless and troubless future with her.

The second thought makes Rajveer to smirk. He finds himself foolish to be thinking about a troubless life. When has his life been obstacles free? Obstacles and troubles are part of the life of soldiers. That doesn't make them feel low but rather make them proud; give them strength.

She had been waiting for him indeed!

Looking back towards Abhimanyu, Rajveer says,

"Chauhan please ye tum dono ka personal matter hai, mujhe iss barey mein kuch nahi janna!"

Naina converts her hands into fists, trying to control her exhilarating rate of heartbeat.

"Personal?",

mocks Abhimanyu, laughing out loud.

"Dost personal hum dono ki baatein kahan hoti hain?!",

asks Abhimanyu sarcastically, indicating towards Naina and himself with his index finger, staring Rajveer throughout.

"Personal to tum dono ki baatein hoti hain!",

says Abhimanyu, out of anger.

"Abhimanyu please...",

protests Naina.

Rajveer and Abhimanyu turn to look towards Naina in unison.

Laughing sarcastically, Abhimanyu says, pointing towards Naina,

"See... Jaag uthi Naintara ke ander ki Cadet Naina...!"

Naina lowers her eyes, unable to tolerate it. Shutting her eyes she shakes her head.

Her expression pierces Rajveer's heart.

(Rajveer-Naina's revolt tune begins)

Never taking his eyes away from her, gaining a new confidence, Rajveer rectifies Abhimanyu,

"Cadet Naina nahi Chauhan...",

as he says so, Naina looks towards Rajveer, shocked, thinking what is he about to say further?

Turning to look towards Abhimanyu, Rajveer rectifies him, smiling with pride and confidence,

"Cadet Naina Ah Singh!"

(Rajveer-Naina's revolt tune continues)

Hearing her this name after what feels like eternity, makes Naina to go nostalgic. Her eyes fill with tears.

Rajveer turns to look towards Naina and discovers her staring him already. They enjoy an intense eye lock not caring about the world!

Standing there Abhimanyu burns in jealousy on witnessing the unshattered trustworthy and faithful bond that Rajveer and Naina share. Something that he could never develop between himself and Naina. He tolerates them as much as they are tolerating his presence there.

"LEAVE!",

utters Abhimanyu, holding his anger and keeping his voice low.

This scares Naina but makes Rajveer to smile. He stares Abhimanyu smiling sarcastically.

"I SAID LEAVE!",

shouts Abhimanyu.

His shout although doesn't affect Rajveer but scares the hell out of Naina. She trembles standing at her place and stares Abhimanyu out of fear.

Rajveer looks towards Naina. His face expression all relaxed. He extends his left hand towards her, an indication of asking her to come along.

Naina looks towards his extended hand out of shock. Then she shifts her gaze towards Rajveer and finds the confidence in his eyes he surely is sure about this. Then she looks towards Abhimanyu, knitting her brows all the more out of fear.

Abhimanyu stays quiet there tolerating this nuisance. But it's not only Abhimanyu in fact Rajveer is also tolerating this nuisance. The nuisance of their being married. The nuisance of their married life. And with this extended hand, he is trying to end this nuisance for once and for all! But for that he needs her support. With a lot of hope he extends his hand.

But all his hope goes to trash when Naina staring deep into Abhimanyu's eyes, holds Abhimanyu by his upper arm. Her gesture swells Abhimanyu's chest with pride.

Rajveer stares Naina in disbelief. His eyes narrows on her out of anger and frustration. Naina avoids looking towards Rajveer.

"Naintara ka faisla agar apko samjh aa gaya hai, so leave!",

commands Abhimanyu.

Rajveer realizes it's the lajja that she feels from the society, that's prohibiting her from taking such a big step.

She doesn't trust him any longer - no this thought never for once crosses his mind. Because deep down he knows she trusts him implicitly even today. Only if the circumstances were different she would have definitely been at his side.

It is the wealth doing the talking here!

Staring Naina for sometime, Rajveer spitting venom through his words says,

"Indeed, mujhe Naintara ka faisla samjh aa gaya hai!"

He takes this new name of hers on purpose.

His words pierce Naina's heart just the way Rajveer wanted.

Naina looks up towards Rajveer with sorrowful eyes and finds him gauging her attire. In her new attire she certainly looks like a queen. Who would want to leave all this?

Satisfied on witnessing the pain in Naina's eyes, Rajveer leaves.

Naina tolerates his anger radiating through his eyes, silently.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

Giving her a last angry look, Rajveer leaves.

Naina, unable to control her emotions any longer runs into her room, crying.

Abhimanyu follows her.

"Naintara! Naintara!",

calls out Abhimanyu, walking after her but Naintara doesn't listen at all.

Reaching her from behind, Abhimanyu holds her by her shoulders, making her to turn around and look towards him.

He lovingly wipes off the tears flowing through her cheeks.

At this moment she feels lajja from Abhimanyu as her whole mind and heart is occupied with the thoughts of Rajveer. And Abhimanyu's touching her makes her feel as if she is being touched by an outsider, a parayah! She tolerates his touch and regrets not accepting Rajveer's proposal and leaving with him.

Her heart fills with guilt. She tolerates the feeling of guilt that she feels towards Rajveer. But soon her heart becomes heavy out of guilt. She decides to say something to Abhimanyu, that Abhimanyu's words seal her lips!

"Come on Naina, let's make babies!"

The floor seems to be slipping away from under her feet.

She feels dizzy! How could he say that that too in such a moment?

Naina realizes how after what feels like eternity, Abhimanyu is addressing her as Naina. Before Naina could react, Abhimanyu seals her lips with his!

The opening of the door with a bang takes Abhimanyu and Naina by surprise. Where on one hand Abhimanyu seems pissed off, there on the other hand Naina feels relaxed and saved! She peeps to look at her saviour.

Standing on the entrance of their room is her saviour - Rajveer Singh Shekhawat! Who didn't miss witnessing Naina's wiping off her lips.
Rajveer glares Naina loathing her at this moment.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins as Rajveer glares Abhimanyu out of anger and shifts his gaze towards Naina out of disgust!)

Abhimanyu turns to look at the intruder too out of anger and gets shocked on discovering Rajveer there.

Rajveer's eyes wanders towards Abhimanyu's right hand, that's snaking around Naina's waist possessively. The skin to skin touch between Abhimanyu and Naina, gives Rajveer an adrenaline rush. He looks towards Naina in anger. Although he doesn't understand why is he angry? They are husband and wife after all, they have all the rights to be together in whichever way they want. Who is he to protest? He is no one! He is no one other than an outsider!

As it becomes impossible for him to endure - seeing Abhimanyu and Naina together in such intimate position, he lowers his eyes and informs Abhimanyu,

"Main apna file yahin bhul gaya tha. Bus wohi lene aya tha. Bina bataye aise file lekar chale jana mujhe theek nahi laga isliye yahan batane aa gaya."

Saying so he finally looks up towards them, especially towards Naina,

"Sorry if I interrupted your moment!"

His each word pierces Naina's heart. Her heartbeat picks up pace. Her chest expands and contracts at quick succession.

Abhimanyu combs his fingers into his hair out of frustration.

Rajveer leaves! Abhimanyu walks into the bathroom to take shower, pissed off!

Both of them leave Naina to deal with the chaos all alone!

As they leave, Naina breaks down and cries soundlessly, sitting on the floor.

She rubs off her lips as hard as possible. She was already feeling lajja about being in such an intimate position with Abhimanyu. Tolerating his dominant self. And now the fact that they have been witnessed sharing such an intimate position that too by none other than Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, makes Naina to feel lajja at a very high magnitude.

The heightened emotions make her to break down into tears. But she can't be loud, fully aware of Abhimanyu's presence in the bathroom.

Where on one hand she tolerates Abhimanyu's presence in her life there on the other hand she now tolerates Rajveer's leaving her again. Her heartbeat picks up pace. She gets anxious, not wanting to let him go this time, away from her.

Understanding the need of the hour, and the fact that she doesn't have time to waste, she gets into a conclusion.

With a new determination in her eyes, she decides to shed off her lajja for once and do her heart's desire!

She looks towards her anklets. The anklets that have kept her tied to Abhimanyu for this long. She takes her hand towards the anklets and removes them!!! Freeing herself from this cage. This burden of being Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan's wife.

Doing so she glances one last time towards the door of the bathroom, behind which is Abhimanyu - her husband. Then without wasting time she pulls the door open and runs and runs and runs at full speed. Her saree prohibits her from running at the speed of a true soldier but this can be assured that she ran faster than any other woman who would have ran away, had she been at her place. But of course the hope is that no woman ever falls in such a situation ever in her life!

Naina finally because of Rajveer gives up her tolerance power, shedding her lajja she finally takes the bold step that she should have taken much earlier. But sometimes it needs a ray of hope to take a huge step. Rajveer became the ray of hope as earlier, for Naina!

The servants notice her running away through the lengthy and giant corridors. It doesn't take much time for them to realize that she is eloping. They are completely aware that if they don't prohibit her from eloping they might be in grave danger. The anger of Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan isn't hidden from anyone there. And hence one of the servants when finds the right opportunity cages her, holding her by her wrist.

She is caught! She is doomed! The thought; the realization send shivers to run down her spine. She turns to look towards the man who held her. The elderly servant Brijesh Kaka he is. Naina looks towards him with a look of horror on her face. Brijesh Kaka notices how she is sweating profusely.
He pulls her with himself turning around.

"Kaka... Kaka please... Please mujhe jane dijiye!",

pleads a terrified Naina, crying as he drags her with him, holding her by her wrist.

She knows she is destined to get a harsh punishment if taken to back to Abhimanyu.

"Kaka main yahan nahi rehna chahti. Dum ghut ta hai mera yahan!",

Naina finally confesses.

The servant doesn't stop dragging her with himself.

"Naina yahan Naintara Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan bann kar reh gayi hai. Nahi pasand mujhe ye naam. Nahi chahiye mujhe ye anchaha rishta. Mera khudka naam mujhe bojh mehsus hota hai. Aur ye naam... ye naam to mera hai hi nahi. To kyun sahun ye bojh? Aur mujhe jab iss naam ko paa kar koi khushi hi nahi to kyun khudko jod kar rakhun iss naam se? Bataiye Kaka?",

cries Naina.

But it feels to Naina as if all her pleas are striking deaf ears!

"Kaka please...",

her throat chokes out of too many emotions; out of helplessness.

She gets so much engrossed in her melancholy phase that she doesn't notice that where they are walking towards.

As she does notice, she realizes it's the storeroom. She gets nervous why has he brought her here? Her furrowed brows and sweat on her forehead tell all about her nervousness that she is facing right now.

Unlocking the door of the storeroom, he lets her in. She gets into the room nervously, unable to comprehend with anything.

As she gets into the room, the man bolts the door after getting inside himself. Before bolting the door he makes sure that no one has followed them this far. Having done that he turns to look towards Naintara.

Naintara stares him, confused.

Folding his hands in front of her, lowering his eyes he says,

"Hum jante hain ki jo hum karne ja rahe hain, humein nahi karna chahiye. Hum ye bhi jante hain ke agar hukum ko pata lag jaye humari ye gustakhi, wo humein kabhi yahan rehne nahi denge."

Laughing sarcastically, he adds,

"Shayad zinda hi gaad de!"

Naintara lowers her eyes, feeling guilty. The thought sends shivers to run down Naina's spine.

"Par aap bilkul chinta na karein. Humne dekha hai jis din se aap yahan ayi hain, apki ankhon mein koi khushi nahi hai.",

he says, feeling sad and sympathetic towards her.

Naina looks towards him, numb, unable to understand what to say.

"Aise kayi utsav aye jis mein apne bhaag (participate) to liya par apke dil mein khushi ke juzzbaatt nahi the."

Naina wonders how did he guess? She had always tried to fake smile in front of all. Did she fail miserably? Naina keeps her eyes lowered out of shyness.

"Par yakeen maniye hukum apse bepanah mohobbat karte hain.",

he assures her, looking into her eyes.

Smiling sadly, Naina says,

"Janti hun. Bohot pyar karte hain mujhse wo."

Walking ahead, drowning into the pool of memories, Naina says,

"Aap jante hain pyar do (2) tarah ke hote hain."

The man looks towards Naina who has walked past him, whilst reciting her thoughts.

"Ek jo apko jeena sikhaye!"

As Naina says this a smile touches her lips as Rajveer's face comes floating in front of her eyes. His all teachings; motivations come rushing back to her making her heart to flutter and her cheeks to blush.

"Har mod par apka saath de!"

Naina remembers how Rajveer never left her side not even during the days when she had hated him for killing her brother.

"Apki niji baatein khud tak rakhe, dusro se chupaye!"

Naina remembers how he had kept her identity under wraps after he discovered who she really is!

"Apki nafrat ko seh kar bhi, apki bhalayi ke barey mein soche!"

Naina lowers her eyes as she feels guilty.

"Aur ek...",

she takes a deep breath, as frustration and anger surface her heart.

"Jo apko dost baney."

Her frustration increases gradually.

"Apka saath de."

She turns her hands into fists.

"Apko apna banaye."

She says, spitting venom through her words.

"Fir ek din, apni kamiyabi ke chakachondh mein itna kho jaye ke aur kuch usse dikhayi hi na de. Ghamand se chur chur ho jaye!"

Her eyes turn teary. But she quickly controls her emotions.

"Ab ye wo Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan nahi rahe Kaka jinse maine shadi ki thi! Nahi rahe ye wo Abhimanyu!",

says Naina, feeling sorry for Abhimanyu. Regretful!

"Main janti hun wo mujhse pyar karte hain beinteha pyar karte hain. Par pyar karne se zada main unka junoon hoon. Mujhe pana unki zindagi ka maksad bann gaya tha. Isliye nahi kyunki wo mujhse pyar karne lage the! Balki isliye kyunki wo kisi aur ae beinteha nafrat karne lage the."

Naina's voice turn shaky.

"Main janti hun mera naam badalna... koi riwaz nahi hai yahan ka, jaisa ki unhone kaha tha...",

Naina raises her voice as frustration and anger heightens up. Her eyes burn with anger and turn teary afresh.

The man lowers his eyes feeling guilty and helpless.

"Wo bus mere naam se jude hue logo ko yaad nahi karna chahte the!"

She laughs sarcastically whilst crying and says,

"Kyunki wo jante hain Naina Singh Ahluwalia ke naam ke saath ek aur naam humesha se juda tha; juda hai; aur humesha juda rahega!!!",

her voice gets raised as she reaches the end of her line. Adrenaline rush that she could feel inside her becomes the reason of this rage.

She bursts into tears crying at her fate!

The man knits his brows, unable to understand whom is she talking about.

"Gustakhi maaf malkin, par kiska naam?",

he asks, eager to know the answer.

Naina's heart skips a beat.

The question succeeds in engulfing her with lajja!

No! She can't reveal the identity of the person she is talking about. How could she got flowed away with her emotions so much that she didn't notice what she is uttering?

Whatever it is, she can't forget that she is still a married woman! She is still in his court!

Realizing that she needs to reply back to him something, she says drowning into her thoughts,

"Wo naam jisne Naina ko kabhi na haar manne ki prerna di!"

"Wo naam jo agar iss haveli mein aa kar raj karne lage, to unse veer dusra koi purush dur dur tak apko na miley!",

and as she says this, her eyes glitter with joy and pride for him. Her chest expands as she silently claims him to be her teacher; her mentor; her friend; her many more things!!

She realizes that she can't reveal much to him. So she stops herself. She remembers yet again that Rajveer must have gone far away by now she needs to hurry up. She still keeps her hope up.

Looking back towards him, Naina requests him,

"Ab main aur waqt zaya nahi kar sakti Kaka. Ab main jana chahungi yahan se."

Her hands folded into a namaste!

"Mujhe jane ki ijjazat dijiye. Please mujhe jane dijiye."

The man smiles politely and pointing his right index finger, he says,

"Ek minute!"

Naina knits her brows wondering what is it.

The man picks up a bag filled with Naina's clothes.

Naina stares him shocked!

Understanding her confusion, the man smiles and says,

"Aap ne apne kapde istri (ironing) karne ke liye diye the. Kaam ke chalte main apko dena bhool gaya. Shayad bhagwan ne bhi aaj hi ke liye aisa hone diya.",

he smiles.

Naina's heart skips a beat as she realizes that this could be true. She looks towards him in awe! He smiles at her politely.

Accepting it, she smiles in gratitude and turns to leave when he interrupts her,

"Udhar se nahi..."

Naina turns to look towards him.

"Ye baat dhyan rakhni hai na humein ke apko koi na pehchan sakey?",

smiles the man.

Naina smiles too in confusion. Confusion about which other path would she opt then?

Walking forth he opens a secret door built on the wall of the small quarter of the room they are in.

Naina gets shocked on discovering the secret passage.

"Hukum ne aise kayi khufiya darwaze banaye hue hain haveli mein. Jiski jaankari kewal kuch chuninda logon ko hi hai. Ab isse khushkismati kahein ya badkismati, humein bhi inn darwazon ke barey mein pata hai.",

he says.

"Badkismati?",

wonders Naina.

Smiling, he says,

"Kabhi kabhi kuch baaton se agar hum anjaan hi rahein to acha hai. Jaan kar bhi agar hum unn baaton ko apne bhale ke liye istemal na kar sakey to usse badi ghutan kisi baat se nahi hoti."

Naina's heart clenches on hearing that. She smiles sadly looking at the man and hugs him warmly.

"Apna khyal rakhiyega!",

advices the man as Naina ends the hug.

Naina smiles and through the secret passage she leads the way to the outside world!

~*~*~

As she escapes the palace, Naina falls in a dilemma as to which road to opt for? Which road must Rajveer had taken?

Engrossed in her dilemma and confusion, she doesn't realize that the passerby are staring her as if she is some kind of animal escaped from a zoo, a place where she had been tamed.

Afraid that any of them might inform Abhimanyu about it right away, Naina runs. Few of Abhimanyu's secret men wandering around on witnessing her there, start following her. But Naina's speed of a soldier helped her a great deal to escape from her predators.

As they follow her, there comes a turn where the road winds towards the left and fortunately she finds it busy. With a crowd of saints and followers chanting the name of god 'hare rama hare krishna'. Finally she gets a little smile of relaxation on her face. She gets camouflaged in the crowd.

She notices Abhimanyu's men walking past the crowd. She sighs in relief as she gets assured that they have passed them and won't return now.

The group of devotees gets stopped by a police which makes Naina to go breathless. She gets terrified as she wonders if these police were sent by Abhimanyu.

After checking the identity of the leader of the devotees the police allow all to leave. Nervous Naina who had been peeping behind her just to make sure that she is not being followed, doesn't realize when the group she was with starts walking forth in front of her.

The inspector reaches her and asks for her identity that skips Naina's heartbeat and makes her to turn to look towards the inspector.

"Madam apki identity card?"

Naina stares him dumbstruck.

"Main... main wo...",

Naina starts fumbling out of nervousness.

"Aap inn ke saath ayi hain kya?",

asks the inspector, pointing towards the group.

Naina vigorously shakes her head into positive as if god has shown her a way to escape this situation.

"Ji... Ji... Main inhi ke saath hun.",

replies Naina, nervously, avoiding to meet their eyes.

"Apke mathey par itna paseena kyun hain?",

asks the inspector.

This skips Nina's heartbeat yet again. She stares him shocked.

"Ap log bottles kyun nahi rakhte apne saath? Itni kadi dhoop mein bhajan kirtan karna konsa itna asan hota hai?",

saying so the inspector hands her a bottle of mineral water.

Naina sighs in relief and quickly shows her gratitude,

"Thank you!"

She leaves as fast as she could.

Naina quickly joins the group again.

As the journey continues, Naina goes into a deep thinking about her life.

*Flashback*

"Tu abhi bhi sochle Naina, kya jo tu kar rahi hai wo sahi kar rahi hai?",

asks Pooja, adjusting Naina's maangteeka.

Naina halts at her process of wearing her bangles and looks towards Pooja into the mirror.

Pooja stares back towards her into the mirror, nervously.

"Mujhe nahi pata Pooja kya sahi hai kya galat. Main bus itna janti hun ke Rajveer Sir ke jane ke baad mere Ma Baba ne bohot kuch sunna hai inn duniya walon se. Aise mein Abhimanyu Sir hi hain jinhone humara saath diya. Har kadam mere parivaar ki hifazat ki.",

says Naina, determined.

Adjusting Naina's gajra, Pooja's eyes on gajra as she avoids to look towards Naina out of fear and hesitation, Pooja reminds Naina,

"Hifazat to... Huda ne bhi ki hai Naina!"

This skips Naina's heartbeat. Naina goes still.

Realizing her stillness, Pooja looks towards her on the mirror.

Naina after going quiet for few moments, very calmly tells Pooja, looking towards her on the mirror,

"Pooja main Huda se pyar nahi karti! Wo mera ek bohot acha dost hai. Par usse zada maine uske liye kabhi nahi socha hai."

"To kya Abhimanyu ke liye socha hai?",

asks Pooja, looking straight into Naina's eyes in the mirror.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

Her question sends shivers down her spine! She goes numb.

"Kya tu taiyar hai apne naam ke peeche... Naina ke peeche... Rai Chauhan lagane ke liye?",

asks Pooja though softly yet there is an urgency in her voice, knitting her brows.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune continues)

Naina lowers her eyes, feeling lajja on realizing for the umpteenth time that hence forth she won't be called Naina Singh Ahluwalia, she would rather be called Naina Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan! She could feel the tension knots building up on her shoulders and her chest's expansion and contraction in quick succession.

But among all this where did Naina Rajveer Singh Shekhawat vanish? Where does it lie now? The name she by now must have written innumerable times on the last pages of innumerable copies of hers! What would be the weightage of that name in her life henceforth? How much would it be important to her now?

"Maine tujhe kaha tha waqt rehte ke sochle Naina kya tu iss baat ke liye taiyar hai? Kya tum Captain Abhimanyu se humesha ke liye apna network jodne ke liye taiyar hai?",

reminds Pooja.

And the word 'waqt' reminds Naina of Rajveer yet again!

*Sub-Flashback*

"Ek minute Cadet Singh!"

"Apna haath agey badhao..."

"Apna aur apne waqt ka khyal rakhna!"

*Sub-flashback ends*

"Maine sub soch liya hai Pooja. Sub soch liya hai!",

says a determined Naina.

*Flashback ends*

~*~*~

Abhimanyu gets out of the bathroom after taking a shower which succeeds in relaxing his mind. Wearing a white kurta pajama, he stands in front of the magnificent mirror putting the third button of his kurta.

"Naintara...",

he calls lightly.

Naintara usually would reply on his first call itself. Not getting a reply comes as a surprise for Abhimanyu. Nevertheless he tries again.

"Naintara..."

His this try too goes fruitless.

Abhimanyu turns around and discovers that there is some difference in the air of the room. The fragrance of Naintara seems to be missing.

He gets restless and goes in search of her in his haveli.

"Madhur...",

he shouts, whilst walking ahead, outside his room.

"Madhur...!",

he shouts again.

Madhur, one of his servants come running to his room, joining hands in front of Abhimanyu, his eyes lowered; his head bowed down, he asks,

"Ji hukum!"

"Pehle to aap ye haath jodna band kariye humare samne.",

scolds Abhimanyu, looking towards Madhur. Abhimanyu's hands still working on the second button of his shirt.

"Naintara kahan hain?",

asks Abhimanyu, looking towards him.

Madhur who is aware of her eloping, gets nervous and starts shivering lightly.

"Ji... Hukum hum... humein...",

he fumbles.

This pisses Abhimanyu off!

"Bataiye kahan hain wo?",

shouts Abhimanyu.

"Kyun chilate rehte ho sub par?",

interrupts an old lady entering Abhimanyu's room.

Abhimanyu peeps towards her.

"Daijan aap?",

smiles Abhimanyu, though tensed about Naintara, but he can never talk impolitely with his elders unless they give him the reason to do so.

"Haan apki daijan jisse milne ki fursat nahi hai apke paas.",

says Daijan.

Abhimanyu lowers his head apologetically, smiling naughtily, apologetically.

Daijan takes her seat on the sofa placed at the sitting area.

Abhimanyu gestures his man to leave. His that one look makes it clear to the man that he needs information about Naintara as soon as possible. Bowing his head, indicating that he understood his demand, the man leaves.

"Kyun itna chilla rahe ho? Naintara agar kahin chali bhi gayin hain kahin to aa jayengi na wapas? Wo bhi nahi reh saktin apke bina. Jaise aap tilmila uthte hain unke gairhazri mein. Humne unhe bhi dekha hai der raat tak jag kar apka intezar karte hue.",

says Daijan, scolding him mildly for being impatient.

This makes Abhimanyu to blush and swells his heart as he realizes that Naintara too waits for him.

"Aur agar apne abhi apna gussa thanda nahi kiya, to bhuliyega mat hum apki daijan hain. Honge aap subke liye kunwar, maharaja, hukum ya jo bhi. Par humare liye aap humare bachey hain. Humein agar gussa aa gaya...",

saying so she gestures with her right hand, calling him to her.

Abhimanyu obliges smiling the whole time.

"Neeche hoyiye!",

orders Daijan.

Abhimanyu obliges laughing softly.

Daijan holds his ear and twists it lightly. Abhimanyu makes faces as if he is hurt.

"Aaa... Aaa... Daijan.",

says Abhimanyu, acting to be in severe pain.

"Aur agar humein gussa aya na... to bohot bura hoga.",

warns Daijan.

Abhimanyu could feel her love mingled with her scolding. That makes him to laugh secretly but he purses his lips quickly. But nothing goes unnoticed by Daijan, which makes her to laugh too, secretly.

As she leaves his ear, Abhimanyu rubs it, soothing his pain, making all faces that tell Daijan that he is hurt. This makes both of them to laugh.

Abhimanyu realizes that his Daijan always makes him to realize his true identity. This is what he is - her grandson and shall always stay the same for her.

Abhimanyu places his head on her lap. She ruffles his hair and politely tells him,

"Beta jis din se Naintara iss ghar ki bahu bann kar ayi hai unhone apna har farz bakhubi nibhaya hai. Agar aise mein kabhi kabhi wo kahin chale bhi jayein to konsi badi baat hai?"

Abhimanyu tightens his hold on his Daijaan. That tells her his affection towards Naina.

"Abhi, maine humesha Naintara ko khamosh dekha hai. Khoyi hui, jaise usse sudh budh hi na ho ke uske aas paas kya ho raha hai!",

says Daijan.

"Main to aj tak nahi samjh payi ke Naintara apke saath KMA kyun nahi chali jati wapas? Kyun wo yahan rehne ka hatt lagaye hue hai?",

asks Daijan, confused.

"Yakeen maniye Daijan, humne kayi baar Naintara se kaha hai ke wo KMA wapas chale jaye. Humne kabhi Naintara ko iss rishte mein bandhe rehne ke liye force nahi kiya.",

says Abhimanyu, earnestly.

"Humne unse shadi ki, unki manzuri thi uss mein. Kya maine koi galti ki?",

asks Abhimanyu.

His Daijan ruffles his hair.

"Humne to unhe iss baat ki bhi puri chuth di thi ke wo apna naam shadi ke baad bhi Naina Singh Ahluwalia hi rakhein. Unki marzi thi ye ke unhe Naina Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan hi banna tha.",

discloses Abhimanyu, feeling a hollowness in his chest.

"Naina??? Kya unka naam Naintara nahi?",

asks Daijan, in utter shock.

The identity by which Daijan used to call her this long, didn't it belong to her? But how can this be possible? Why did she lie? Why did her Abhimanyu lie to her?

Abhimanyu realizes that it's time to disclose in front of Daijan, Nina's truth!

He looks towards Daijaan, and begins with the tale...

"Naintara... Naina Singh Ahluwalia, KMA mein humari student thi."

His Daijan who already had this information isn't surprised on hearing this.

"Humein aaj bhi wo din yaad hai, jab wo call ayi thi Naina ki humein. Fir kis tarah se humne unhe unn gundo se bachaya tha.",

says Abhimanyu, remembering all these moments fondly.

Daijan's heart skips a beat and she holds him by his upper arm.

"Ghabraiye mat daijan, apka Abhimanyu tha na uss chakravyuh ko bhedne ke liye.",

says Abhimanyu, smiling, calming his Daijan's anxiety down.

"Fir dheere dheere sub kuch khud ba khud hota gaya.",

says Abhimanyu, smiling.

His eyes drifting towards the corridor every now and then to check if any of his servants has reached yet or not with Naintara's information. But none comes. He finds himself in a dilemma neither can he leave Daijan, nor can he drift his mind from Naintara.

'Kahan hain aap Naina?',

he wonders.

"Humari shadi ke baad wo KMA chor kar aa gayin yahan humare saath.",

he tells her.

"Par aap wahan bhi to reh sakte the KMA mein?",

asks Daijan, wondering what made them to shift here.

Smiling, Abhimanyu says,

"Agar wahan reh jate to Naintara humari pyari Daijan se kaise miltin?",

and he presses her cheeks.

"Baat mat ghumaiye. Humein such such bataiye.",

says Daijan, removing his hand, showing fake anger.

With a fading smile, looking away, Abhimanyu says,

"Daijan yun samjh lijiye ke Naintara thak gayi thi. Durr bhagna chahti thi har baat se jo usse KMA ki yaad dilaye."

Sighing, he looks towards his Daijan and says,

"To ye hai Naintara urf Naina ki kahani, Abhimanyu ki zubani.",

he smiles.

"Pyar karte ho unse?",

asks Daijan, ruffling his hair lovingly.

Abhimanyu looks towards his Daijan, smiling, blushing. Taking a deep breath, smiling throughout, he says, breathing in satisfaction,

"Bohooottt..."

"Aur wo?"

Daijan takes Abhimanyu by surprise. He looks towards her. Staring her for moments he lowers his eyes smiling sadly. Turning back again he says,

"Wo bhi..."

Daijan smiles hearing that.

"...kisi aur se!!!",

he adds keeping his voice low to make himself inaudible to Daijaan.

Abhimanyu remembers the conversation that took place between himself and Naina this morning.

*Flashback*

"Naintara... Naintara... humara identity card kahan hai?",

calls out Abhimanyu reaching the room.

"Naina... apne humari identity card dekhi?",

asks Abhimanyu, reaching the room.

Opening the cupboard, Naintara brings out his identity card silently. Reaching him, she forwards the identity card to him and rectifies him, her eyes lowered,

"Naintara!"

Abhimanyu realizes the blooper and feels apologetic whilst taking the card from her, staring her throughout.

"Ahmm... Kabhi kabar purani aadatein yunhi wapas laut aati hain zindagi mein.",

smiles Abhimanyu, apologetically.

Naintara keeps her eyes lowered.

"Jaise purane log aa jate hain...",

mummers Naintara, hesitantly.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

Abhimanyu's face expression drops.

He realizes that she is upset. Hence, to change her mood, he adds,

"Jaise kabhi kabar jab hum apko bulate hain, to aap bhul se 'ji Abhimanyu' ki jagah 'yes Sir' bol deti hain!"

This diverts Naintara's mind and makes her to blush, closing her eyes tightly. Which in return makes Abhimanyu to smile seeing her happy on his account.

She slowly looks towards him, blushing throughout, and adds,

"Jaise aap kabhi kabar apne busy schedule se time nikal kar apne music room mein jakar dil khol kar instruments bajate hain, theek waise hi jaise aap KMA mein kiya karte the."

This makes Abhimanyu to blush. 'She does notice' - the thought swells his heart.

"Jaise kabhi kabar humein Naintara ke ander chupi Naina ke darshan ho jate hain jab haveli ka koi kaam time par nahi hota? You know it's so good to be punctual Naintara. I am glad that you are that.",

smiles Abhimanyu.

The mention of her being Naina makes her go serious again.

"Main Naina nahi hun Naintara Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan hun!",

she says, her eyes burning with rage.

"Naina...",

he whispers, understanding her emotions.

Naina embraces him into a tight hug. Abhimanyu hugs her back, comforting her.

"Naintara ya Naina whatever be your identity, aap sirf humari hain!",

Abhimanyu tightens his hold on her.

Blood drains out of her face! Naina could feel the tigtening of her muscles.

'Naina nahi... Naina nahi...!',

she repeats in her head and her eyes fill with tears.

*Flashback ends*

"Hare Rama hare Krishna Krishna Krishna hare hare... Hare Rama hare Krishna Krishna Krishna hare hare",

the sudden increase in the speed of the chanting drags Naina out of her thoughts.

She realizes she has come a long way. She looks behind to make sure that she is not being followed. The confirmation makes her to relax.

The group decides to take rest for some moments. Naina decides to stay with the group. She realizes she is already clueless where to search Rajveer. Where did he disappear. As the group settle at the road side area, Naina too takes her seat on a footpath where there is a sitting area raised a little above the road to make one to sit comfortably.

She drowns into the thought of her life once again. She starts wondering how would all the people in the palace and outside it react on discovering that she has eloped from her home? For those few moments she feels extremely regretful of her decision.

She remembers Abhimanyu's Chachi whom he calls Badi Ma. She remembers the warm feeling she gets each time she visits the palace. When she embraces her into a warm hug, Naina within moments starts feeling all the baggage; all the burden started to be lifted up off her shoulders on getting hugged by Badi Ma.

*Flashback*

"Naintara, hum jante hain Abhimanyu thode ziddi hain. Gussa bohot hain unn mein. Par yakeen maniye, jitni jaldi unhe gussa ata hai na apno par, utni hi jaldi unka gussa shant bhi ho jata hai.",

says Badi Ma, rotating her hand in Naintara's hair.

"Wo pehle to aise nahi the?",

asks Naintara, hesitantly, keeping her voice low.

This makes her Badi Ma to laugh.

This skips Naintara's heartbeat, did she say anything wrong?

Badi Ma lovingly says,

"Abhimanyu ki zindagi aisi hi rahi hai Naintara. Jab wo yahan hote hain to unka thaat bilkul raja maharajaon, ek sahi Rajput jaisa hota hai. Jab nahi hote yahan to wo bus Abhimanyu hote hain."

"Par apko pata hai Naintara, Abhimanyu ye jo kuch bhi karte hain apne Baba Saheb ki wajah se karte hain.",

smiles Badi Ma, sadly.

"Matlab?",

asks Naintara, confused, knitting her brows.

"Unke Baba Saheb ko ye katayi manzur nahi tha ke wo apni shan-o-shaukat ki zindagi; apni aram dayak zindagi chor kar sena mein bharti hon.",

says Badi Ma, drowning into the moments when she witnessed many such arguments that took place between the father and the son.

Naina did have a little idea about it. She had seen him receiving gifts from his parents in the academy, but most of them he had returned back without even caring to open it to see what it was!

"Par zid karke Abhimanyu chale gayein sena mein bharti hone ke liye. Fir ek din phone aya aur unhone ye ittela kiya ke unhe sena mein bharti mil gayi hai. Koi 'Kan...' 'Kan...' ",

she finds it difficult to recollect the name.

Naina's heart skips a beat.

"Kanchenjunga Military Academy!",

she says, her eyes glittering and her voice containing the pride she feels about the place.

"Ji... Ji wohin."

"Jab jab wo wahan se wapas aatey, hum unka badla andaz mehsus kar pate the. Wo khush rehte the. Zindadili dekhi hai humne unki. Par unka wo roop aney ke baad shuru ke kuch dino tak hi rehta. Jaise jaise samay beetta jata, wey firse Rajya Mahal ke rang dhang mein ghul jate. Na chahte hue bhi ve yahin ke bann jate. Aisa lagta jaise unn par kisi ne jadu kar diya ho. Ya unn mein koi kala ho ke jahan bhi rahein wohin ke bann jayein. Jaisa desh waisa bhesh!",

smiles Badi Ma.

Naina starts wondering about Abhimanyu. Drowning into his being.
Realizing that there is still a lot she needs to learn about him.

"Par Naintara apke unki zindagi mein aa jane se, humne unki zindagi mein ek sthirta mehsus ki hai."

This skips Naintara's heartbeat. She looks up towards her Badi Ma.

"Waise to Abhimanyu pehle se hi sambhle hue the par kuch kuch baaton mein wey apne gusse ko kabu mein nahi kar pate the. Aap unki zindagi mein sthirta layi!",

smiles Badi Ma.

Thinking about Abhimanyu, Naina feels guilty and thinks,

'Sthirta nahi Badi Ma. Par shayad uthal-puthal zarur macha di hai unki zindagi mein!'

*Flashback ends*

"Kya main yahan baith jaun?",

asks one of the women from the group, smiling politely.

"Haan please ayiye na.",

invites Naintara, to sit with her.

The woman smiles politely and sits next to Naina.

"Kafi thakan ho gayi hai nahi?",

asks the woman.

Naintara smiles politely.

The woman carrying a water bottle in her hand looks towards the group which is now subdivided and are chatting among themselves.

"Shanti milti hai kafi bhagwan ka naam lekar.",

smiles the woman.

Naintara smiles too.

Looking in front of her at infinity, the woman says,

"Warna apni zindagi to ek qaid jaisi lagti hai."

This drags Nainatara's attention. Knitting her brows she looks towards the lady.

"Main ek doctor hun!",

the lady shares about her profession.

Naintara seems to be taken aback.

The lady looks towards her and laughs.

"Kya hua? Shocked, are you?",

asks the lady, laughing.

"Apko dekh kar nahi lagta...",

says Naintara, surprised.

The lady laughs again and says,

"Kya lagta hai that I wouldn't even know how to speak English?"

Naintara feels ashamed!

"No! No! It's just... no I mean...",

Naintara fails to construct a proper sentence.

That makes the lady to laugh again.

"Relax! It's fine."

"Ahmmm... Fir aap yahan kaise?",

asks Naina, hesitantly.

"I remember the lawn and the bright flowers. You know I used to roam around there leisurely. Nahi samjh aata tha ki zindagi kahan ja rahi hai."

"That little girl, when she opened her eyes for the first time... She was in my arms... Kuch minutes ki hogi wo. Aisa laga jeene ki nayi wajah mil gayi ho."

Naina couldn't comprehend with her words.

"Cheen liya usey mujhse unn rakshaso ne."

Naina feels a certain kind of pain in her chest. She could feel her loss. She stares at the lady, her own eyes filled with sorrow. But that lady, she seemed to be absolutely fine. As if it is just a folklore she is reciting in front of Naina.

"Ek din subah uthi, to uss veeran ghar mein main akeli thi!!!",

she says, the terror of being alone wraps the lady all over again.

Naina could read her expression.

"Unka kaam ho gaya tha...!",

the lady says, her voice shaking, her eyes filling with tears.

"Waris chahiye tha unhe! Waris!",

she shouts, crying, spitting venom through her each word.

Her sudden outburst skips Naina's heartbeat.

Naina places a hand on the lady's shoulder, comforting her. As she does that she remembers Abhimanyu's words...

'Come on Naina, let's make babies!!!'

Her rate of heartbeat picks up pace. What if if she would have succumbed to his demand? Would he have also done the same? - wonders Naina.

"Nahi...",

she whispers unconsciously, drowned into her thoughts.

"Wo aisa nahi karte! Kabhi nahi karte!",

her faith in Abhimanyu, makes her to believe that and believe nothing else.

Say what she might, deep down she feels glad that she didn't succumb to his demand!

"Kahan kho gayi tum?",

asks the lady, smiling.

Naina gets out of her reverie. Gulping her saliva out, she calms down her fear, making herself to understand that she is fine now. She is away from them. She shouldn't be worrying about anything now.

"Nahi... Kahin nahi...!",

smiles Naina, though her smile doesn't reach her eyes.

The lady does realize that, but choose to keep it untouched.

Taking a deep breath, the lady looks in front of her into infinity and says,

"Socha tha she would become my identity. She would become the reason for me to stay alive. But see here I am..."

Naina looks towards the lady, confused.

"Ek baat puchun?",

she asks.

The lady turns to look towards Naina, smiling she says,

"Pucho na!"

"Normally log bete ki chah rakhte hain. Apki to beti hai. Fir unhone aisa kyun kiya?",

asks Naina, confused.

Smiling, the lady nods her head in quick successions.

"Very good question.",

she appreciates.

Naina stares her, waiting for an answer.

"Unke ghar mein bete kayi hain. Tum inn baba, sant logon ko to janti ho na... Keh diya ke beti agar hui to khandan ka naam roshan karegi. Bohot tarraki hogi etc. etc.",

says the lady, feeling ridiculous about it.

"I don't understand ke doctor ho kar bhi koi aisa kaise soch sakta hai?",

says the lady, pissed off.

Suddenly she realizes that Naina doesn't know about her husband.

"Oh by the way, my husband is a doctor too!",

she says, lowering her eyes, smiling apologetically.

Naina gets shocked on hearing that!

"Doctor???",

she breathes.

Nodding her head into affirmative, her eyes lowered, smiling sarcastically, the lady says,

"I know! Surprising na! Contradictory nature right?"

Naina smiles a little, in a dilemma how to react!

Naina smiles a little, in a dilemma how to react!

"But then, men are men, you know!",

smiles the lady.

Naina looks towards the lady immediately. A mysterious smile stretches on her lips and she says,

"Not all men are same! Not all men are same!"

Her chest swells as she utters these words.

(Rajveer-Naina slow tune begins)

The lady knits her brows lightly.

Naina suddenly realizes that they are taking time in resuming the journey. She gets impatient, nervous that Abhimanyu's men can reach her any moment.

Naina looks towards the lady, smiling, thinking that every person in this world is dealing with some or the other problem, especially women.

"Kahani adhuri chor kar ja rahi ho?",

asks the lady, smiling.

"Puri kahani mere samne hai! Agey janne ki zarurat nahi.",

smiles Naina.

"Bina janey natije par pahunch rahi ho. Galat bhi sabit ho sakti ho?",

challenges the lady, smiling infectiously.

Naina smiles, lowering her eyes.

Looking back towards the lady, smiling still, Naina asks her,

"Aap mujhe lekar kis natije par pahunchi?"

"Beauty with brain!",

smiles the lady infectiously.

Naina arches a brow, smiling.

"Your face is enough to give your identity!",

says the lady.

Naina arches her brow, as if challenging her and saying - really?

Taking her words lightly, Naina rolls her eyes and turns to leave when the lady's next word skips Naina's heartbeat!!!

"Naina Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan!"

Naina turns out of shock! Did she really say that? How does she know her?

The lady stares her smiling infectiously throughout.

"Kya hua, surprised?"

Naina stands there numb!

"Ok tell me what are you more surprised about? That I know your identity? Or that I gave your true identity - Naina?",

asks the lady.

Naina feels as if the whole world is spinning. So many memories come flashing in front of her eyes with in seconds.

She feels lajja, on being called as Naina, something she is not used to now anymore.

She feels lajja, for not being able to feel the warning, that she shouldn't have been talking to her.

The lady points towards the crowd, with her eyes transfixed on Naina,

"Wo dekh rahi ho tum? Kitne sarey log hai na wahan?"

Naina looks towards the crowd horrified.

"Inn subki zindagi meri mutthi mein hai!",

says the lady, turning her right hand into fist, up in the air.

"Bus ek ishara, aur ye sub tabah!!!",

says the lady.

Naina looks back towards the lady, shocked.

"Wo dekh rahi ho wo admi lal shirt mein?",

asks the lady.

Naina turns to look towards the man in horror, and there she finds him indeed standing, keeping an eye on the crowd.

"Uske haath mein ek remote control hai.",

says the lady.

Naina focuses on his hand and indeed there is a black remote control in his hand.

"Bus ek baar meri manzuri mili aur ye sub log khoon se lathpath milenge tumhe."

Naina turns to look towards the lady in horror and asks her,

"Kya chahti ho mujhse?"

Smiling infectiously, the lady says,

"Kuch zada nahi. Mere peeche police parhi hai tumhe mujhe unse bachana hai. After all you are coming from an army background, tumhara bhai; tumhara pati; tum khud, sub army se ho, I am sure tum ye kaam asani se kar paogi. Meri identity kisi ke samne nahi aa paye, iss baat ka dhyan rakhna hoga tumhe."

Naina knits her brows shocked and confused,

"Par kyun? Kya kiya hai tumne?"

The lady looks towards Naina, smiling sarcastically.

"Ab tum to janti hi ho ke ek akeli aurat ke liye iss duniya mein bach pana kitna mushkil hai?",

she says, acting to be helpless and hopeless lady.

Naina hears her, knitting her brows all the more. Her tone irks Naina, but she tries to stay calm.

"Paison ki zarurat to subko hoti hai. Mujhe bhi thi. Soch rahi thi ke kahan se laun paise zindagi guzarne ke liye? Ke tabhi meri mulaqat ek admi se hui uska naam tha ACP Gaurav Malhotra.",

she dictates her story in front of Naina.

"Naam Gaurav lekin desh ka gaurav na bann saka wo!",

says the lady, smirking.

Naina stares her out of hatred.

"Par apna kya hai? Apne ko to paison se matlab tha.",

she says, smirking.

"Kuch rifles the jo ek group tak pohnchana tha. Wo rifles bohot keemti the. Kisi Indian Government Office se churaye gaye the. Ab tum to janti hi ho ke inn sub jagah kitni kadi suraksha ka intzam hota hai. Asaan nahi raha hoga I am sure inhe churana. To uski hifazat aur unhe sahi hathon mein saunpane ki zimmedari mujhe di gayi hai.",

the lady informs Naina.

"To iss chakkar mein tum inn begunahon ke jaan ke peeche kyun parhi ho? Inn sub cheezon se inn masoomo ka kya lena dena?",

asks Naina, knitting her brows, her anxiety increasing, as the soldier in her starts taking over Naina Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan.

"Koi lena dena nahi hai Naina.",

she says, acting to be innocent.

"Maine kab kaha ke lena dena hai?",

she asks innocently.

Her tone irks Naina.

She looks away for fraction of seconds out of hatred. Enduring her attitude.

"Par police ka inn masoomo ki jaan se zarur lena dena hoga.",

she says, smiling devilishly.

"Matlab?",

asks Naina.

"Oh Naina tum such mein itni bholi ho ya bholi banne ka natak kar rahi ho?",

asks the lady.

Naina glares her.

"It's very simple, police zarur inko bachane ke liye ayegi, aur tab main apni shart unke samne rakhungi.",

she declares her plan, feeling proud of it.

"Aur fir... majburan unhe meri baat maanni hi padhegi.",

she smirks, feeling victorious already.

"Tumhe kaise pata ke main kon hun?",

asks Naina, eager to know.

Laughing, she says,

"I was wondering, tumne ab tak ye baat mujhse kyun nahi puchi. But anyways, der aye durust aye."

"Trust me Naina mujhe tumhare barey mein janne mein koi interest nahi hai. Nay!!!",

says she, showing off her disinterest in her.

"What I have more interest in are the two men in your life!",

she says, giving all negative vibes through her words.

"Two?",

Naina asks, hesitantly.

"Oh come on, now don't you give me that sh** as if you don't know what I am talking about!",

she winks, smiling infectiously.

Naina looks away.

"I mean seriously humein yahan ek naseeb nahi hota aur tum do-do (2-2) ko apni ungli par nacha rahi ho? Kuch to rehm karo hum par yaar?",

she says, making Naina to lothe not only the woman but herself too.

Saying so she turns to know what's the current situation, is her mission in progress?

For this particular moment, Naina doubts on her own character. But quickly wipes the thought off her mind, fearing to get into the conclusion!

She wonders before talking about this woman, has she tried considering what's her own identity is?

She feels lajja as she dares to think about her identity.

But soon she realizes that this is not the time to waste on thinking all that it is time to react!

She wonders what should she do? As Naintara she feels like running away from there the moment she gets an opportunity. But as a soldier - Naina, she realizes that it's her duty to protect the crowd.

Before she could get into a conclusion, she was held by someone tightly by her wrist, and dragged. Naina not having time to think starts responding according to the wish of her savior. As her mind gets stable and she realizes what just happened seconds ago, she realizes the touch! The touch that belonged to her! The touch that's meant just for her! The touch which is dominating and caring both at the same time! The touch of Rajveer Singh Shekhawat!

Rajveer Singh Shekhawat - the identity that means the world to her!

~*~*~

As the lady turns she finds Naina gone. Out of anger, she mummers,

"Ye tumne acha nahi kiya Naina Singh Ahluwalia! Ye tumne acha nahi kiya!"

Although mummering, her anger is quite evident!

And as a result she signals her men to shoot up in the air! And as they shoot, the crowd gets terrified and runs here and there, saving themselves unable to understand what just happened. The only thing they succeed in understanding with in fraction of seconds is that they need to run. And run, they did!!

Standing against a tree, hidden from the predators, Naina peeps to know what's going on there in the crowd. How messed up the things are? The soldier in her, keeps popping out and hence she tries to go out to save them, that Rajveer holds her back caging her in between his hands, which are on the bark of the tree, rigid.

"Pagal mat bano. Chup chap yahan khadi raho!",

he scolds her, grinding his teeth, keeping his voice low.

"Khadi rahun? Wahan itne logon ki jaan khatre mein hai and aap mujhse keh rahe hain ki main yahan khadi rahun?",

asks Naina, knitting her brows.

This drags Rajveer's attention, he looks towards her, knitting his brows.

"Oh to finally I am meeting Cadet Naina Ah Singh!",

he taunts smiling sarcastically.

He looks back towards the crowd

"Nice to meet you by the way!",

he says, his eyes scanning the crowd.

While Naina stares him, dumbstruck.

"I don't need your help. Lemme go!",

says Naina, getting into a conclusion.

She wrestles to get out of the cage he has made around her, the cage of his arms.

(Rajveer-Naina love tune begins)

"Jab dil se mann kare na mujhse durr hone ka, tab koshish kar lena. Now stop with your futile attempts Cadet Naina..."

Looking towards her, in his own old style he complete,

"...Ah Singh!"

Naina stares him, pausing her futile attempts to get away from him, abruptly. Rajveer stares back!

(Rajveer-Naina tune continues as they stare each other)

"Mujhe apki madad ki koi zarurat nahi hai!",

saying so an adamant Naina tries to free herself from his hold but he pulls her back with more fervour. The sudden pull knocks their body together in every possible way!

Naina goes crimson red, widening her eyes, as she feels his hand touching her upper part. Her heartbeat picks up pace. Despite being married for around an year Abhimanyu really hadn't touched Naina in any inappropriate way!

Yes inappropriate touch did exist between Abhimanyu and Naina - the husband and wife!

Theirs was a slow relationship. The slowness mostly initiated by Naina. And as for Abhimanyu, he had been patient. Only lately had he been demanding and why won't he, after all he was legally married to her. And their relationship was developing... until now!

Rajveer too goes crimson red, as it happened unintentionally.

"I...",

Rajveer begins to apologize but realizes that he is unable to form a coherent sentence, out of nervousness.

The magnitude of her lajja increases with each passing moment, as she realizes that she can't even run away because he won't allow that!

Her mind gets divided into two - Rajveer and Abhimanyu!

She realizes that lajja was what she used to feel in Abhimanyu's presence and lajja is what she is feeling in Rajveer's presence too!

That drains the blood out of her face. Was the lady right? Had she been playing with the feelings of both the men? Her heartbeat picks up pace. Her face gets enveloped with a fresh horror of wondering!

Rajveer notices her sudden change. Her sudden tightening of the muscles of the wrist he is holding, tells it all. He stares her knitting his brows, unable to understand what has happened? He keeps staring her with knitted brows, wondering!

Naina keeps her eyes lowered. Within fraction of seconds many moments in the academy when they were alone together, flashes in front of her eyes. She realizes he never tried to take any advantage of her loneliness. Her face expression changes again to relaxation and contentment.

In fact he had been always respectful not only towards her but towards all female cadets and faculty members too. She cherishes his and Dr. Shalini's friendship and it succeeds in bringing a smile on her face.

Rajveer who is unaware of what's going on in her mind on finding her lost and smiling, knits his brows, nervous about asking her the reason of her smile and her sudden withdrawal from him. The withdrawal of course is not physical but mental.

"Naina...",

he whispers softly to wake her up.

'I mean seriously humein yahan ek naseeb nahi hota aur tum do-do (2-2) ko apni ungli par nacha rahi ho? Kuch to rehm karo hum par yaar?'

These were the words that Naina remembers before she gets out of her reverie on being called by her anchor; her mentor; her Rajveer Sir!

"Main apna khyal rakhna janti hun! Apko meri chinta karne ki zarurat nahi.",

saying so, she again starts wrestling with him, as fresh guilt washes her. She is Abhimanyu's wife. How can she share such a bond with him?

Out of guilt and anger on herself, she scolds him, keeping her voice under check, crying lightly, her heartbeat accelerating,

"Main Abhimanyu ki wife hun, main apke saath aisa nahi kar sakti!"

Smiling sarcastically, Rajveer taunts,

"Jab nahi thi tab bhi kahan kiya tha?"

Naina's heart skips a beat and she stops abruptly, looking towards him.

Rajveer stares her, she stares back.

Suddenly Rajveer realizes that the path is clear their predators have spreaded, giving them opportunity to run off. Holding Naina's hand he runs away. Naina cooperates by running at her highest speed.

One of the predators catch them running away.

"Wo rahe wo dono. Jaldi chalo!",

he gives them indication and they all run after them.

"Jao pakdo unhe. Bachne na paye dono.",

shouts the lady out of anger, utterly pissed off by the fact that they succeeded in making fool of her.

They run and run and run being followed by their predators.

After moments Naina gets tired, breathing heavily, she holds his hand with her free hand and pulling him back to stop, she says, in between her exhilarating breathing rate,

"Bus... Bus main aur nahi bhaag sakti!"

Rajveer turns to look towards Naina, tensed. In the given circumstances, his mind hasn't stopped working making strategies to escape them; being alert as to not getting into their hold. He realizes she indeed looks tired.

He looks here and there in order to search a place where they can hide.

He realizes that to a little distance is a forest. He decides to get into the forest. Hoping that it might help them to camouflage.

He points out to the distant spot and says in an urgency,

"Naina wahan tak chalein? Uske baad wahan jakar rest kar lenge kuch der."

Naina looks towards the place he pointed. The time she takes to notice the place and reply makes Rajveer impatient, hence in an impatience he suggests,

"If you want I can carry you in my arms to there?"

He says it as a matter of fact, no ill feeling or naughtiness intended. His creased brows, the lines of tension on his forehead, confirm his genuineness and seriousness.

Naina realizes it and assures him,

"Apko bus panch minute rukne ko kaha tha, so that I can breathe. Chaliye ab!",

she smiles.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina flute tune begins)

Rajveer looks towards her, smiling with all his heart. She had always been his strength, apart from that period when she took him as her brother's murderer. But Rajveer doesn't wanna go there. It was a cruel past, they have come over it, period.
Naina smiles back.

Tightening his hold on her hand, staring her lovingly, proudly, Rajveer gets ready to run again that he notices their predators there.

"Aap...",

Naina begins to speak, unaware of the presence of their predators around them.

Rajveer covers her mouth with his palm before she could speak further. Pushing her against the bark of the tree, he widens his eyes looking towards her, as a gesture of asking her to stay quiet. Naina knits her brows.

While Rajveer looks for the men and their positions, Naina pulls down his hand from upon her mouth. Rajveer looks towards her, they stare intimately for few moments, which gets interrupted by Rajveer's little joke, but with full seriousness on his face,

"Naina chup raho kuch bolo mat!"

Naina gets shocked on hearing that and with her hand she gestures - 'what'?

"Excuse me, bol aap rahe hain. Main to chup hi thi!",

she scolds, irritated at his false accusation.

This makes Rajveer to laugh quietly, pursing his lips, in the tensed situation.

This of course he said on purpose, to make her feel relaxed for some moments.

"You know I could anticipate you talking in moments.",

he whispers, his eyes on the predators.

"Kuch bhi matlab?",

Naina says, acting to be irritated.

"Dhundho unhe. Yahin kahin honge. Bach kar jane na payein wo. Agar meri baat nahi mani gayi hai. To wo bhi zinda nahi bachenge!",

orders the lady to her men.

Naina holds Rajveer by his upper arm nervously.

"Don't worry Naina, tumhe kuch nahi hoga. Main hun na tumhare saath.",

says Rajveer, his eyes on them, calculating, making strategies to escape them.

Naina on hearing him, slaps him on his upper arm, though not too hard, but he does wince in pain, as it comes as a total surprise for him. He immediately takes his free hand and starts massaging where she had beaten him. He turns to look towards her whilst doing so and demands,

"Kya kar rahi ho Cadet Singh?"

Naina takes a deep breath on hearing that and reminds him that it's not her identity anymore,

"Mera naam Cadet Singh nahi hai Naina hai! Naina A..."

Before she could continue, Rajveer covers her mouth with his hand again, pushing her lightly on the bark.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

Staring straight into her eyes, he says,

"Cadet Naina Ah Singh! Cadet Singh! Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia!",

his each word comes real slow, to make her realize and remember what he said. He doesn't need to explain her further. These words are enough to give her the message of his. The warning look also tells her to not dare to argue on that with him.

With the constant gaze and forbidence to speak, and feeling the depth of his feelings for her, tears prickle down her eyes, rolling down her cheeks.

Rajveer slowly rubs off the tears as it hurts him to see her crying. Looking towards her politely, he shakes his head into negative. Naina smiles politely.

At this moment they both crave to hug each other tightly to let each other know how much they mean to each other. But their identities come in between!

Whatever might he say, deep down, during moments like these, even he can't close his eyes on the fact that she is - Naintara Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan! And he... Rajveer Singh Shekhawat. And presently he can do nothing about it... nothing!

Their moment gets disturbed by the voice of the woman -

"Meri dushmani Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan se hai. Aur uss dushmani ka badla, main uski patni Naina Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan ko chont pahuncha kar; usse jaan lekar hi puri karungi!!!!"

Her statement, shocks Rajveer and Naina. Naina's heartbeat picks up pace. Her whole world seems to be spinning all over again just like it spinned when Rajveer came to her house, back to her life.

"Wo aadmi... Uss aadmi ne mere pyar ko thukraya? Mere?",

she shouts.

Rajveer dreads to look towards Naina! Fearing to witness her reaction on hearing the words. But he understands he needs to do this. She needs him right now, he understands.

Slowly Rajveer turns to look towards her and finds her numb out of shock!!!

The man she had been living with. The man she had full faith upon. Wasn't he trust worthy? But then she didn't say that he accepted her, that means he is not at fault!

But he should have told her that. This whole time she had been feeling guilty about the fact that she doesn't have feelings for Abhimanyu; that her feelings are only for Rajveer; and Abhimanyu knows about it, and is still accepting her just the way she is, a mess. But despite all that, nothing was hidden from him.

She used to feel gratitude towards him, feeling that he is a resolved person and chaotic is she between the two. And he never tried to rectify her by sharing the truth with her. At this moment she loathes him! She even hates herself for being fool to not see that!

Naina realizes, not only her identity was fake with her name Naintara. But his was also fake, despite having the same name. She realizes that's the reason that he tried to impose that fake name on her. The fake identity given to her was because by doing so he tried to hide her deeds which in his eyes are ill. Her loving Rajveer was wrong in his eyes. Her not accepting him completely as her husband was ill in his eyes. And her name Naina, reminded him of Rajveer and Naina's togetherness. Reminded him his infertility in their relationship. Reminded him that though they are married, but deep down he knew Rajveer still had way more rights and claims on her, than he had ever!

She remembers how Abhimanyu addressed her as Naina by chance today. She realizes now, that it wasn't by mistake, but it was rather to check her reaction to it and feel content by seeing her angry on being called Naina. And she gave him the reason to feel content. She hates herself for that!

She feels lajja on realizing all that!

"Naina...",

Rajveer places a hand on her shoulder to drag her out of her reverie.

As he does that, Naina feels dizzy and shifts back a little out of her dizziness. Standing a little behind her, Rajveer holds her such that his right hand is on her shoulder and left is holding her securely by her waist. He gets tensed and calls her again,

"Naina..."

The dry leaves under their feet create noise because of their light movement. But the ears of their predators are sharp enough to catch that. They turn to know about the source of sound.

"Naina... Naina... we need to run...",

says Rajveer, shaking her, his eyes gawked on their predators.

"Wo rahein dono...",

one of the men points out.

Naina somehow realizes that they need to run, she can't let her dizziness take a toll on her and hence ruin everything. Hence, she holds Rajveer's hand tightly, her eyes fixed on the predators.

Rajveer looks towards Naina boosted up with new spirit. This brims his eyes with tears. He smiles; his chest swells and in his state of happiness, he mutters,

"My Cadet Naina Singh!!!"

Naina doesn't miss hearing that! She turns to look towards him. His these four magical words, work as fuel for her.

It's Naina who takes hold of his hand and they run together away from their predators.

"Pakdo unhe... Jane mat dena...",

shouts their predator.

Soon Rajveer leads Naina.

They keep on getting deeper and deeper into the forest.

"Listen... Listen... Don't go deeper, hum raasta bhatak sakte hain.",

suggests Naina, breathing heavily, halting him, pulling him lightly by his hand, as an indication that they need to stop.

Rajveer doesn't understand why her words give him all those crazy ideas, may be darkness of the forest is the culprit? Or his starting away from her this long? Or the fact that they are holding hands tightly is the reason that without giving a second thought, and as Rajveer looks towards her, into her eyes, a naughty smile on his lips, he says,

"Deeper mein hi to maza hai Naina!"

His suddenly bold words skip her heartbeat! She stares him dumbstruck. She could feel the warming up of her cheeks. Standing inside the forest, where sun light hardly penetrates, and also it's already getting dark, the contrasting feeling sends adranaline rush to run down her spine.

"Aa..p... mere Rajveer Sir hi hain na?",

asks Naina, hesitantly, staring him, hiding her amusement.

Rajveer hiding his amusement, narrows his eyes on her and says,

"You are hurting my feelings Naina, by doubting on my identity."

Naina laughs hearing that. Which in turn makes Rajveer to laugh. This a little light hearted conversation rejuvenate them.

"Chalein?",

he asks.

Naina nods and together with a new energy, they run away, successful in escaping their predators!

"Bhaag gaye! Ab to andhera bhi itna ho gaya hai ke unhe pakadna na mumkin hoga!",

says the loser, thoroughly pissed off.

"Chalo sub! Wapas chalte hain!",

he orders all.

Together they all leave, he gives a last glance backwards but finds no one!

~*~*~

Soon they reach outside the forest.

"Ab... Ab hum kya karenge?",

asks Naina, gulping her saliva, out of tiredness.

Rajveer, tired himself, says, whilst scanning the place, holding Naina's hand,

"Naina raat ho chuki hai. I think yahin kahin rehne ka intezaam karna hoga. Aise anjan jagah mein iss andhere mein bhatakna, kahin ki samjhdari nahi hogi."

Naina realizes that he is right.

They try searching some place to stay. Their fingers still entwined together possessively. Rajveer unconsciously keeps rubbing his thumb on the back of her hand that he has been holding. Naina too unconsciously starts finding it relaxing, like a therapy.

Naina discovers an inn and while Rajveer tries searching in opposite direction, their hands still entwined together.

On discovering the inn, a smile of joy comes on Naina's face. She pats on Rajveer's shoulder lightly, her face still turned towards the inn whilst she she pats. Rajveer looks towards her to know what is it she wants to say. Naina points towards the inn and finally looks towards Rajveer. A smile comes on Rajveer's face too on discovering the inn. Naina finally looks towards Rajveer, smiling in joy. Rajveer looks back towards her, smiling himself.

Naina notices he is tired and sweating a little.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

She hesitates a little but takes her hand towards his forehead. Rajveer knits his brows unable to understand what is she upto? Naina encouraging herself silently, wipes off his sweat with her hand.

Rajveer doesn't understand why this short encounter reminds him of the moment they shared during mentorship programme where Naina removed the grass off his hair. The small gesture of hers, at that time, at that state of his, meant so much to Rajveer!

He wonders, that day she could feel nothing. Even he himself didn't acknowledge his feeling and kept a blind eye towards it. But today, he won't let the moment go unacknowledged, he thinks, determined! But would she?

They stare each other, transmitting their innate feelings for each other through their eyes.

Rajveer wonders, would she let her feelings flow this time? Or would she remain oblivion to it like last time? And even if she does realize her feelings, would she convey it to him? Or would this time if not her oblivious self but her lajja become the barrier between the two?

Rajveer blushes looking towards Naina. Naina smiles back. Together they head towards the inn.

As they reach the inn, Rajveer on the reception demands for two rooms,

"Do (2) room chahiye...",

but Naina's resting her hand on his upper arm, makes Rajveer to look towards Naina, knitting his brows, to know what is it?

Hesitating to look towards him, Naina keeps her eyes on the register that the receptionist is using to fill their details, and rectifies Rajveer's words,

"Ek... Ek room chahiye!"

(Rajveer-Naina's fast tune begins)

Rajveer stares her, numb!

Naina slowly looks towards him. Her eyes transmits her immense faith in him.

"Naam?",

asks the receptionist, after bringing out the register.

Taking a deep breath, Rajveer staring Naina throughout, Naina too stares back, he says,

"Mr. and Mrs. Rajveer Singh Shekhawat!"

(Rajveer-Naina's fast tune continues)

3. SEARCH

Naina's heart clenches on hearing her new name. Her eyes brim with tears. Rajveer slowly shakes his head into negative, staring her throughout. Naina looks away, controlling her feelings.

"Yahan sign kar dijiye. Aur ye rahi apke room ki chabi.",

says the man.

"Apka saaman..?",

he asks and searches standing at his place, looking behind them and at their hands if there is any luggage they are carrying?

Rajveer and Naina look towards each other.

Looking back towards the man, Rajveer says,

"Nahi hai!"

The man smiles and says,

"Aj kal ke bachey honeymoon par bhi bina bags ke aney lagey hain kya?",

and laughs lightly.

His statement skips Rajveer's and Naina's heartbeats. Naina's cheeks turn crimson red. She feels lajja about the fact that it's not Rajveer but Abhimanyu who had put the vermilion in her maang that the man can see. Also the mangalsutra is of Abhimanyu's name and not of Rajveer's! And also how can she make this man understand how much of a burden are these for her right now?

Rajveer looks towards Naina, trying to gauge her reaction to all this. Naina bows her head out of shyness, there is no smile on her face, only her cheeks are warm because of the adrenaline rush that the man's words caused and which got increased because of Rajveer's presence next to her.

They both turn and leave for their room.

Assured that they have left, the man calls someone and says,

"Haan wo yahin hain. Mr. and Mrs. Rajveer Singh Shekhawat ke naam se!"

~*~*~

(Rajveer-Naina light piano key tune begins)

They enter their room together. Rajveer locks the room behind them. Naina feels hesitant and nervous about sharing the room with him.

Rajveer's state is no better. But his nervousness is more about the fact that what Naina must be going through right now? Is she comfortable at sharing the room with him? Or does she have her doubts?

Naina looks around in the room, quietly, with no smile on her face. Her each gesture tells Rajveer how nervous she must be right now.

Clearing his throat, he drags her attention.

"Ahmm... Naina bahar jo kuch bhi hua...",

Rajveer begins, but gets intervened by her,

"Wo sub maine shuru kiya!"

Rajveer gets stunned at realizing how easily she accepts anything and everything thrown by Rajveer towards her, without questioning him.

Naina turns to look towards him and very softly tells him,

"Apko kuch bolne ki zarurat nahi."

Rajveer stares her, at a loss of words.

The sudden knock at the door drags their attention.

"Tum relax karo, main dekhta hun.",

he says.

Naina obliges and goes to use the washroom.

Meanwhile Rajveer opens the door. One of the servants stands there holding a blanket in his hand.

"Haan?",

asks Rajveer.

"Raat ko yahan thand bohot hoti hai. Apko iski zarurat parhegi.",

he says.

His expression, the way he speaks keeping a straight face, doesn't give good vibes to Rajveer.

Nevertheless, he chooses to ignore it, and accepting the blanket, he closes the door.

As he does that and turns Naina too comes out of the bathroom, drying her face with the towel provided to them in the cupboard and asks,

"Kon tha?"

"Room service. Wo...",

as he was about to say further, a packet falls from inside the blanket.

As it falls Rajveer's and Naina's eyes together fall on it and the blood drains out of their faces!!!

Naina's heartbeat picks up pace. She feels extremely shy and uncomfortable. Rajveer's state is no better. He fails to understand how to react after seeing the packet. He looks towards Naina in horror. Naina looks away as soon as his eyes meet hers. Rajveer realizes what a stupid idea was it to look into her eyes at such an uncomfortable moment!

"Main... Wo actually wahan husband and wife likhwaya to... Isliye...",

Rajveer fails to construct a proper statement out of shock and nervousness.

He quickly picks up the packet and shoves it into his pocket, ignoring to look towards Naina. Naina too ignores to look towards him, out of sheer lajja.

Silently Rajveer takes the oath that he is going to search this person and teach him a good lesson, whoever did this. Whoever is the culprit of his this state. And of course he knows who it is!!!

Rajveer hesitantly, nervously looks towards Naina and gets shocked to find her neither nervous, nor shy in fact it feels as if she is not present with him at all. He finds her drifted apart from him, again!!!

Naina keeps her eyes lowered and her mind wanders towards the day when Abhimanyu and she got married. She remembers how against her wish they had to go for honeymoon as her five friends had already booked up everything; all set with their plan for Abhimanyu and Naina.

As they reached there something of this sort had happened with them too, only that all of that was planned by her friends, and here it's happening without planning! But how can she forget that life keeps throwing surprises on her? Though not pleasant ones but surprises are surprises! But what kind of surprise is this one? She dreads to search the answer and hence keeps the topic untouched!

Clearing his throat, Rajveer chooses to resume with his normal self to make the atmosphere light between them.

"Ahmm... I'll have a shower now. Tum rest karo.",

saying so he looks towards Naina.

He finds her staring him, this skips Rajveer's heartbeat. She has turned so unpredictable, he wonders. Rajveer stares back trying to understand does she need something? Naina who understands his unsaid words, laughs soundlessly, blushing, closing her eyes and shakes her head into negative.

Opening her eyes, she looks towards him and says,

"Stop over thinking!"

This again comes as a surprise for Rajveer. She has started to read him too! This makes him to blush. He smiles apologetically. She really has changed, he concludes. Smiling, shaking his head, Rajveer leaves for shower.

As he leaves for shower, Naina wanders around the room. She finds magazines in the magazine stand, picking up one magazine that interests her, she lies on the bed, resting her back against the pillow and starts enjoying the magazine.

Rajveer gets out of the bathroom and searches for his watch. He doesn't find it.

"Naina tumne mera watch dekha?",

he asks, still searching it.

Naina who is engrossed in reading the magazine just shakes her head, not realizing that Rajveer is not looking towards her and hence she needs to make herself audible to him, over gesturing him.

Rajveer turns on not receiving a reply. He finds her engrossed in reading the magazine. He walks to her and shakes his head to let his hair water sprinkle on her face and whilst doing so he asks,

"NAINA... TUMNE... MERA... WATCH
... DEKHA??"

His sudden sprinkling of water on her that way comes as a surprise for Naina. Irritated she says, whilst wiping off her face with her back hand,

"Aap... Aap ye kya kar rahe hain?"

Rajveer laughs at that. Then acting to be angry on her, he says,

"Main tabse puch raha hun ke tumne mera watch dekha ya nahi. Tum ho ke mujhe jawab hi nahi de rahi."

"Kya apka watch maine pehna tha? Ya utara tha maine?",

asks Naina, pissed off.

"Naina? Academy mein jab mujhe apne room mein kuch nahi milta tha tab tum hi mujhe dhundh kar deti thi na?",

asks Rajveer, knitting his brows, hurt.

"Tab main apki protge thi aur aap mere mentor the.",

scolds Naina.

"To ab kya hun?",

asks Rajveer, seductively.

This skips Naina's heartbeat.

Naina looks up towards him hesitantly.

Rajveer lowers his eyes, smiling guiltily.

"Kuch bhi nahi!",

he says, sadly.

Taking a deep breath, he looks towards Naina. Smiling, he turns to leave when Naina says, her eyes cascaded down,

"Search!"

Rajveer turns to look towards her, knitting his brows, unable to comprehend with her words.

Naina slowly looks up towards him and dares him,

"Search if you can, ke aap kon hain mere!"

(Rajveer-Naina flute tune begins as they stare each other)

To Rajveer the challenge sounds interesting. He arches a brow, smiling.

Naina stares him, pursing her lips.

"The game is on!",

smirks Rajveer, getting excited.

"Karna kya hoga?",

he asks, all set.

Naina looking straight into his eyes tells him,

"Mere paas kuch aisa hai that belongs to you!"

Rajveer arches a brow, surprised.

Naina smiles naughtily.

"Okay so?",

asks Rajveer.

"Wo cheez dhundhiye. Jo bhi hoga that would be a kind of code. Uss code ko crack karna hai apne. As simple as that.",

Naina gives him a challenging smile.

Rajveer thinks, a smile constant on his face.

"Meri jo cheez tumhare paas hai...",

he says, slowly, smiling lovingly, shyly.

"Wo to...",

he trials off, looking deep into her eyes.

Naina's heart skips a beat as she realizes what he is indicating towards. This heart that just skipped a beat, hearing him, he is talking about it!

(Slow Rajveer-Naina's piano key tune begins)

Her rate of heartbeat picks up pace. She feels awkward. Lowering her eyes, she tries to calm down her breathing rate.

In order to get out of this flustered state of hers, she without looking towards him, warns,

"Jaldi kijiye zada waqt nahi hai apke paas."

Her lajja makes Rajveer to smile at her lovingly.

"Theek hai... Lemme see",

he says, rubbing his hands together. Narrowing his eyes on her as if searching her like a policeman does.

Rajveer smirks, lowering his eyes.

Taking a deep breath, with a new determination he looks towards her and says,

"Okay, let's begin with this."

Naina smiles infectiously, arching a brow, she keeps her magazine aside. Getting up she walks to him, never looking away, enjoying witnessing Rajveer.

She stands in front of him, folding her arms on her chest.

Walking round her at slow pace, he thinks what could it be?

"Hmm... Mera kuch jo tumhare paas ho...",

he thinks hard, narrowing his eyes, whilst walking around her.

"Meri di hui ab tak ki sari seekh?",

he asks.

"No!",

says Naina, smiling.

"Wo to meri dil ki tijori mein band hai. Aur uska code sirf mere dimag ke paas hai jo kabhi kabhi uss code ko use karke dil ki tijori ko khol kar usse apki seekh nikal kar use karta hai.",

blushes Naina, at her childish answer.

This makes Rajveer to laugh. As he ends laughing he stares her lovingly, possessively. Naina stares back with equal intensity.

"Ok next!",

thinks Rajveer.

"Mere... Mere notes?",

Rajveer tries his luck.

Naina gives him a weird look.

"Notes? Really?",

asks Naina, giving him expression that tells him how stupid he must be sounding right now.

"Okay! Okay!",

Rajveer raises both his hands up in front of his abdominal.

"Fir aur kya ho sakta hai mera tumhare paas?",

asks Rajveer, itching his rear head.

This makes Naina to purse her lips as bubbles of laughter fill her stomach.

"Should I help?",

she asks teasingly.

"Mujhe mere 'Strategies and Communication' ke teacher ne achi classes di hain code crack karne ki. I can always help you.",

she teases, and purses her lips again.

This makes Rajveer to feel jealous of her. Pointing an index finger in front of her, narrowing his eyes on her, he warns her,

"Don't you dare mess with me! Aur rakho apne 'Strategies and Communication' ke teacher ko apne paas. Pata nahi kahan kahan se aa jate hain fattu!",

he shows off, rolling his eyes.

This ignites anger inside Naina. Whatever it is, he doesn't have any right to say anything about her Rajveer Sir!

Getting angry, she asks,

"Kya kaha apne?"

"Wohi jo tumne suna.",

teases Rajveer, all serious, turning away.

Out of anger Naina pulls him back holding him by his upper arm.

Rajveer turns with a jerk, the sudden collision makes Naina to lose her balance and together they fall on the bed such that Rajveer is over Naina!

Naina could feel the adrenaline rush.

Rajveer too goes crimson red, initially, but gradually he calms himself down and enjoys staring Naina lovingly.

He realizes that she hasn't made any effort to push him away from her. He keeps staring her lovingly.

Naina waits for him to react, holding her breath.

When it gets too much for her to endure his silence, tear comes rolling down her cheeks. Rajveer knits his brows seeing her crying. He rubs off her tear slowly. But fresh new tears replaces the wiped off tears.

Staying in the same position, he asks her,

"Kyun ro rahi ho?",

his voice low.

Naina shakes her head into negative, not daring to say anything as she knows once she starts speaking, she would cry limitlessly, her feelings for him is at their zenith point. It's getting hard for her to control herself now. But she is trying.

"Bolo Naina. Jo bolna ho bolo. I know baaton ka sailab umad raha hoga tumhare dil mein. Aaj aa jane do baad (flood)!",

says Rajveer, whispering lovingly.

Naina looks towards him. How does he manage to understand her perfectly always? - she wonders.

She runs off her tears now and again.

She realizes that she should get up from upon him, how much she might be feeling good and secured here close to him, but this is not right! This is so not right! Controlling her feelings Naina gets up, avoiding to look towards Rajveer. Rajveer too doesn't make any effort to pull her to him. Just that he makes sure that she gets up safely.

Naina avoids looking towards him. But Rajveer keeps staring her.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina flute tune begins)

"Itna bura laga mera tumhare 'Strategies and Communication' ke teacher ko fattu kehna?",

asks Rajveer, softly.

Naina looks towards him with teary eyes.

Rajveer smiles politely.

"Zada waqt nahi hai na mere paas should I continue with my search?",

he asks, smiling.

Naina looks towards him again, smiling.

Smiling all the more, Rajveer walks past her whilst saying,

"Naina ye bohot boring ho raha hai. I mean ye search and all. I was wondering ke kuch der ka break lete hain."

Taking a deep breath Naina says,

"Theek hai, jaisi apki marzi."

Then turns to look towards Rajveer.

Rajveer smiles.

Walking towards the music player, Rajveer plays a song.

This skips Naina's heartbeat. What is he up to?

Walking towards her, never looking away from her, he forwards his left hand.

This reminds Naina of the dance lesson that he gave to her and a blush creeps on her face, she smiles.

Teasing him, she says,

"Isse acha to apne tab mujhse mera haath manga tha jab humne first time saath dance kiya tha."

She doesn't realize what her words might sound like, while uttering them.

Lowering his eyes, as if feeling guilty, Rajveer says,

"Kash uss waqt hi theek se tumse tumhara haath mang leta!"

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

Then he looks towards her seductively.

His words make Naina to realize what he is talking about, hence they skip her heartbeat and she stares him in shock.

Rajveer smiles, and says,

"Par tab kya pata tha ke ye ladki meri zindagi barbad karke chodegi!"

His words pinch her heart. Because she really see herself as his culprit! She drowns into the pool of this guilt each day. And today she drowns again! Lajja envelopes her afresh!

Naina stares him. Her eyes serious on him. But she finds him smiling politely on her. He closes his eyes for fraction of seconds and shakes his head into negative. Indicating her, not to take his words seriously and that he is just teasing her.

"Barbad bhale hi tumne kiya ho. Par barbad karne ka haq, maine diya hai tumhe!",

he says, seriously, looking straight into her eyes.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune continues)

Rajveer with his eyes ask again for the dance.

Naina never looking away from him, hesitantly gives her hand to him.

Together they begin with their slow ball dance.

Rajveer slowly pushes back the bangles she is wearing. And there he smiles looking towards the watch that was hiding amongst her bangles, the one he had gifted her.

He smiles looking towards it. Then looks towards her, smiling victoriously.

"Meri dusri cheez jo tumhare paas hai!",

he teases, smiling, emphasizing on 'dusri'!

Naina lowers her eyes and slips out of his hold, that suddenly he grips her hand tight, taking her by surprise and pulls her to him.

Naina stares him, anxiety taking a toll on her.

He rolls her holding her by her finger whilst think, pursing his lips, smiling, thinking, the increase in the speed of their dance, increases the rate of Naina's heartbeat.

"Hmm... So ghadi! Watch!",

he says, his eyes at a distant place but his hands dancing her in and out of his arms.

Naina takes control over her emotions.

"Watch! Watch! Watch!",

he thinks.

Naina's heartbeat picks up pace as somehow she realizes that now it would be very easy for him to understand this.

"Academy mein kuch aisa jo tumhara mera hota tha aur mera tumhara ho kar bhi tumhe main wo de nahi pata tha...",

he says, thinking, feeling guilty,

"Wo tha 'waqt'! 'time'!"

Naina keeps her eyes lowered. Rajveer rolls her into his arms. At this moment Naina is standing in such a position that her back is against his chest and he has enwrapped her with his arms.

"Zada time nahi hai tumhare paas!",

he teases her by repeating her words, emphasizing on 'time'!

Naina bites her lower lip, blushing.

Rajveer smiles looking towards a flushed up Naina.

"So main tumhara waqt hun? Time? How?",

it sounds to him weird.

Naina keeps her eyes lowered, feeling shy. But she is not smiling, she all serious.

"Hmmm?",

prompts Rajveer.

Rajveer turns her to make her look towards him, smiling on his victory. But soon his smile vanishes as he finds her serious.

"Naina?",

he calls her, all serious.

Naina looks towards him, her eyes teary. Rajveer's heart breaks on seeing her that way. He aches to touch her, but her marital status prohibits him to do anything of that sort.

"Apko jab nahi janti thi, academy join karne se pehle, mera waqt kaisa tha, ye shayad main itne kam time mein explain na kar sakun. Bhaley hi bhaiya the emotionally humesha, par mujh par hi mostly ghar ki zimmedari thi. Bhaiya to academy mein hi rehte the zyadatar.",

she tells him.

Rajveer listens to her patiently, understanding her situation.

"Ghar mein Ma aur meri kayi baar ladayi ho jati thi. Ma ko lagta tha ke mujh mein bohot bachpana hai aur main bhaiya ki tarah mature nahi hun. Aur Baba, Baba bilkul opposite sochte the. Unhe lagta tha ke main waqt se pehle mature ho gayi hun. Aur kahin na kahin unhe iska reason Bhaiya lagte the!",

she tells, drowning into the memories of her earlier days.

"Strange! Itna contradiction soch mein?",

says Rajveer, knitting his brows.

Smirking sadly, Naina says,

"Ma ka perspective alag tha Baba ka alag. Jaise normally har family mein hota hai. Ma ye dekhti thi ke main ghar ke kamon mein; kitchen sambhalne mein koi interest show nahi karti. Par wo wo nahi dekh pati thi jo Baba dekhte the. Bhaiya ke na hone par bhi maine unhe kabhi unke bete ki kami nahi mehsus hone di!"

(Slow Rajveer Naina guitar tune begins as Rajveer stares Naina, smiling proudly, lightly.)

"Ghar mein bhale hi bhartiya nari ki tarah rehna pasand ho mujhe par jab bahar nikalti hun to hitler bann jati hun. Kisi se nahi darti. Agar kisi ne meri taraf ya mere parivar ki taraf galat nazar se dekha bhi, to chodti nhi thi unhe. Iss wajah se kayi baar pange hue hue hain mere, mere aas paas rehne wale logon se. Ladko ko to aap jante hi hain kaise hote hain. Ladki dekhi nahi ke shuru ho gaye...!",

she says remembering olden days.

Smiling Rajveer says,

"There was a time when I used to search the 'bhartiya nari' hidden in you. I did get glimpse of it sometimes. Par aaj I am trying to search my Cadet Naina Singh, hidden somewhere inside this 'bhartiya nari' Naina!"

His words succeed in making her to shiver.

"Don't search. That Naina is dead!",

she says, plainly, as if she is unable to feel anything or tired of feeling!

Rajveer feels a pang of pain on hearing her words. He knits his brows, staring her throughout.

He realizes that somewhere, he is the reason for the death of that Naina. And he wonders will he ever be able to bring that Naina back? Although they are together her. Apparently, she has finished her relationship that she shared with Abhimanyu. But what's next? Does that means she is his? Naina is Rajveer's?

"Bhaiya ke saath jo kuch bhi hua that made the situation worse. Ma Baba meri jald se jald shadi karwa dena chahte the.",

she confesses.

"Wo dono to shayad aaj bhi yahi soch rahe honte. Meri shadi ko lekar pareshan ho rahe hote, agar main Abhimanyu se shadi nahi karti.",

she says, drowning into the pool of her thoughts and miseries all the more.

Her words remind him of the conversation they had before the commencement of mentorship programme.

"Haan bataya tha tumne!",

says Rajveer, himself drowning into the moment that they had spent together.

Naina looks towards Rajveer, understanding that he is remembering that particular conversation that took place between them in his room.

"So their search for your groom reached it's destination on meeting Abhimanyu?",

he asks, spitting venom through his words.

Naina's heart skips a beat on hearing him. She turns to look towards him, her eyes bearing immense pain for him. Her heart beating at a tremendous speed inside her chest. Rajveer stares back, throwing daggers through his eyes towards Naina, those were basically meant for Mr. and Mrs. Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan over Naina Singh Ahluwalia.

"Marrying Abhimanyu was totally my choice! It was me who asked Abhimanyu if he wants to marry me or not!",

says Naina, slowly, looking straight into his eyes.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

The floor seems to slip from under his feet. Did she really say that? He stares her in horror and shock! How could she?

Naina had anticipated meeting this moment several times in her past, when he wasn't there for her; with her! She had this gut feeling that someday or the other she would have to face this situation. Although she used to find her this thought rubbish at that time! Like how could that be possible? He was apparently dead for all! So how could it be that she would have to face him someday? She didn't have any answer to her eerie feeling. But tried how hard might she have, she couldn't bring herself to think otherwise! If this is not love, so what is? Where one gets the vibes of meeting her apparently dead lover, in the near future!

With in moments, flashes of their last hug float in front of the eyes of both. The flashes came in a reverse way such that instead of hugging; instead of enjoying their last hug, they are drifting apart!

"So I was indeed right!",

says Rajveer, spitting venom through his each word.

"Right?",

asks Naina, knitting her brows.

"Jo maine tumhe tumhare ghar par kaha?",

he reminds her.

*Flashback*

"Ye mat sochna Naina ke academy mein tumhare aur Chauhan ke beech mein jo ho raha tha usse main anjaan tha!"

Naina looks towards him in disbelief.

"You were all into Abhimanyu Naina!",

accuses Rajveer, taking Naina by shock.

"Tumhari nafrat jitni mere liye thi usse kayi gunah zada pyar tumhara Chauhan ke liye tha!",

says Rajveer, spitting venom through his each word.

*Flashback ends*

Anger surges through Naina on hearing Rajveer's words. She feels lajja on her decision of sharing her feelings with him. All the energy and emotion that she invested in reciting this story to him went in trash with in moments!

Glaring him with tearful eyes, she says, spitting venom through her words,

"You know what, you don't deserve to be shared any fact about my life with! I am sorry that I decided to open up in front of you at first place.",

saying so, she turns to leave, to where, she knows not!

"Naina... Naina...",

he calls her from behind.

She reaches the door and jerks it open.

What meets her eyes drains the blood out of her face. Her so called husband stands in front holding his waist from either sides.

Smiling sarcastically, anger visible in his eyes, Abhimanyu says to a shocked Naintara,

"To finally my search ends here! Aap yahan hain Mrs. Naintara Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan?"

Blood drains out of Naina's face.

Rajveer too gets shocked to find Abhimanyu here.

"Agar yahan mere admi nahi hote, to shayad humein kabhi pata hi nahi chalta ke aap yahan hain. Aur hum puri duniya mein apko dhundhte firte!",

says Abhimanyu, showing himself to be calm and composed but failing miserably.

Naina's eyes turn teary.

"Kya hai ye Naintara?",

he asks.

Standing at his place Rajveer turns his hand into fist, on hearing him addressing Naina as Naintara.

"Uska naam Naintara nahi, Naina hai Chauhan!",

reminds Rajveer, knitting his brows.

Abhimanyu then drags his attention towards Rajveer, glaring him.

"Oh aap bhi hain yahan?",

he asks, sarcastically.

His words send adrenaline rushes to run down the spines of both Rajveer and Naina alike.

Rajveer narrows his eyes on Abhimanyu, glaring him.

Then he turns back towards Naina, Abhimanyu asks ever so politely,

"Naintara apko wo admi yaad hai jo uss din humare ghar aya tha?"

Naina looks towards Abhimanyu, knitting her brows.

"Yaad hai wo kis tarah se apko dekh raha tha?",

he asks.

Naina lowers her eyes, feeling uncomfortable again.

"Saza to milni hi thi na usse? After all usne humari biwi ki taraf, Nainatara Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan ki taraf ankh utha kar jo dekha tha!",

says Abhimanyu, anger visible in his sugar coated words.

Naina and Rajveer stare Abhimanyu in shock and horror!

"Kya ... Kya kiya apne uske saath?",

Naina asks in horror.

Rajveer gets ready to hold Naina if she gets too angry. And glares Abhimanyu.

"Na! Na! Na! Humne kuch nahi kiya Naintara. You know how much I hate violence.",

he says, dipping his words into sugar.

Rajveer looks away, irritated, then again looks towards him, glaring him.

"Jo kuch bhi kiya, humare adamiyon ne kiya.",

Abhimanyu gives his devilish smile.

Naina's eyes brim with tears. Rajveer walks forth holding her by her shoulders.

Walking ahead, Abhimanyu takes his seat on one of the sofas there. His left foot resting on the right knee and looks up towards Naina.

He glares at the point where Rajveer is holding Naintara, by her shoulders.

He suddenly realizes, and taunts them,

"By the way, nice room. Dono ke liye raat guzarne ke liye achi jagah hai."

Rajveer glares him.

"Abhimanyu humare paas tumhari bakwas sunne ke liye faltu waqt nahi hai. Just leave at once!",

orders Rajveer, his anger increasing with each passing moment.

Getting up, he says,

"Arey chale jayenge, chale jayenge. Pehle ye...",

he brings out Naintara's anklets from his pocket.

He shows it to her, holding it in front of her in the air.

"Ye to pehna dein apni patni ko!",

teases Abhimanyu.

Naina's heartbeat picks up pace. She stares at her anklet, that she dropped at his place and hence dropping behind all her responsibilities and commitment towards him.

Rajveer glares him! Waiting for him to take a step towards Naina.

He walks forth to reach Naina, and Rajveer comes in between them, glaring Abhimanyu. He shakes his head, never looking away from Abhimanyu. Warning him silently to stay away.

"Aap humein humari patni se durr hone ke liye keh rahe hain?",

Abhimanyu raises his voice, glaring Rajveer.

"Main tumhe Naina se durr rehne ko keh raha hun. Usse tumhare saath iss bandhan mein nahi rehna.",

says Rajveer.

Naina glares Abhimanyu.

"Aur ye baat hum Naintara ke muh se sunna chahte hain!",

says Abhimanyu, glaring Rajveer.

"Naint...",

he calls but gets intervened by Naina,

"Naina!"

"Naina Singh Ahluwalia.",

she states clearly.

Abhimanyu glares her.

Rajveer stares Abhimanyu, smile of pride evident on Rajveer's face. His eyes twinkling while Abhimanyu's now glaring! What a flip of situations!

~*~*~

On the other hand the man because of whom Abhimanyu is here, stands at a corner smirking secretly, victoriously!

The man who had come to deliver the blanket and other stuff to their room whispers into his ear,

"Sir ye husband wife nahi hain?"

Smirking still, staring Rajveer and Naintara throughout, he lets the man know in a hushed voice,

"Nahi!"

The interrogator stares towards Rajveer and Naina, arching a brow.

Then his gaze shifts towards Abhimanyu and Naina, he makes a face of dislike.

He mummers,

"Waise lagte to ye dono hi ache hain.",

looking towards Rajveer and Naina in a mesmerized way.

"Ye jo aap itna itra rahi hain na Naina, waise apko ek baat bata dein, agar circumstances firse aise aye na ke pyare Captain Rajveer ko bhagna parha, wo fir apko chor kar bhaag jayenge akele!",

taunts Abhimanyu.

This skips Rajveer's heartbeat and he lowers his eyes, feeling guilty.

But Naina's heart swells with pride. She shakes her head into negative, looking straight into Abhimanyu's eyes and states clearly, without any doubt,

"Nahi! Ye aisa ab kabhi nahi karenge. Mujhe inn par pura vishwas hai."

Rajveer stares her, with all his emotions for her.

"Aur aisa hua bhi so this time I'll make sure ke ye mujhe saath le chalein.",

says Naina confidently.

Rajveer's eyes brim with tears but he controls himself.

"Kyunki mujhe yakeen hai ki apni galti par ye zarur pachtaye honge.",

she states clearly, shedding all her lajja.

"Aur jab hum kisi baat par pachtate hain, aur zindagi dubara mauka deti hai uss galti ko sudharne ki, to hum firse wo galti kabhi nahi karte."

"Theek ussi tarah jaise main pachta rahi hun, apse shadi karke!",

glares Naina.

Rajveer stares her in disbelief and pride.

Abhimanyu glares Naina.

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

"Naintara aap bhul rahi hain aap kisse baat kar rahi hain!",

warns Abhimanyu.

"Jee nahi main ye kabhi nahi bhool sakti ke main ek nihayati ghamandi, self centered insaan se baat kar rahi hun. Jo apne popularity ke chakachaundh mein itna kho gaya hai ke sahi aur galat ka fark bhul gaya hai. Jo innocents par atyachar karta hai.",

says Naina, clearly.

Abhimanyu glares her.

Then he glares Rajveer.

He again turns towards Naina and taunts her,

"Aap ek aise insaan ke liye humein chor rahi hain jis mein itni himmat bhi nahi ke wo apko apne dil ki baat bata sakey."

Rajveer walks a step ahead, glaring him, he says,

"Tum apne hadd se agey barh rahe ho Chauhan!"

"Kyun Raj, maine kuch galat kaha?",

asks Abhimanyu, acting to be innocent.

"Wait... Didn't you tell her?",

he asks, laughing sarcastically.

Naina looks towards Rajveer in confusion, what has he not told her?

Rajveer glares Abhimanyu.

"Come on Raj! Don't tell me ke Naina ko ab tak nahi pata ke tumhe kab realize hua ke tum Naina se pyar karte ho?",

says Abhimanyu, acting to be surprised.

Naina stares Rajveer in shock!

Rajveer keeps glaring Abhimanyu.

"Nahi Naina? Really?",

asks Abhimanyu, turning to look towards Naina, acting to be surprised.

Naina doesn't take her eyes away from Rajveer.

Rajveer looks towards Naina, his eyes bearing guilt and apology.

Looking towards Abhimanyu in anger, Rajveer asks, rather scolds him,

"Iss mein konsi badi baat hai Chauhan? Tum khamakhan unwanted baaton ko beech mein la rahe ho."

Abhimanyu shakes his index finger in negative and says, laughing sarcastically,

"Na! Na! Na! Dost. Unwanted nahi wanted!"

Naina stares Abhimanyu and Rajveer in shock hearing all that.

She tries to look meet Rajveer's eyes to search truth in all that Abhimanyu is saying. She could anticipate that there are going to be things that would surprise her! Her heart beats at a tremendous speed.

"Apko wo mentorship programme yaad hai jahan aap dono ko pehli baar as a team rakha gaya tha?",

asks Abhimanyu.

This comes as yet another shock for Naina! She could feel goosebumps.

How does he know about mentorship programme? He hadn't even entered KMA by then! So how can he talk about that?

Abhimanyu smirks seeing her face expression.

Rajveer tries to stop Abhimanyu, controlling his anger, Rajveer warns Abhimanyu,

"Chauhan stop it!"

"Ab jab baat shuru ho hi gayi hai to khatam bhi kar dete hain na dost?",

says Abhimanyu, in sugar coated voice.

Naina dreads to hear further. As she could anticipate something is coming her way that might shake her completely!

Staring Rajveer, smiling sarcastically, he says,

"Pyar ho gaya tha humare dost ko apse!!!"

(Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

Rajveer stares Naina, shocked!!! He never expected this to come out this way. And after realizing that Abhimanyu and Naina were married, he had given up hope of revealing this, entirely!

Naina could feel a sharp pain in her chest as if something broke inside her chest on hearing this!

Tears roll down her cheeks! She goes numb! Her legs turn jelly. How they are supporting her body weight, she knows not!

Naina stares Rajveer with teary eyes, hurt evident in her eyes. Her gaze pierces Rajveer's heart. He shakes his head slowly into negative, his eyes pleading her to not cry.

So many incidents of mentorship programme flash in front of her eyes.

Their tent conversation about Naveen!

Naina's fall and Rajveer's fall in order to save her!

The moment when Naina discovered Rajveer talking to Dr. Mishra and Dr. Mishra's silent confession!

Naina's heartbeat picks up pace as she remembers this particular moment!

She remembers how she felt at that particular moment when she discovered Rajveer with Dr. Mishra.

She felt like dragging him with her to the tent and question him, scolding him about what took him so much time to collect the logs? Was talking to Dr. Mishra more important to Naina's safety in the tent? Didn't he know that she was alone in the tent? Waiting for him?

Suddenly a thought enters Naina's mind and drags her out of her reverie,
how does Abhimanyu know all that?

"Bus apko bolne se darta tha!",

says Abhimanyu, laughing at him out of anger.

"Ye khudko Naveen ki maut ka zimmedar mante the na khudko! Nahi bol paye uss guilt mein apse kuch!",

says Abhimanyu out of anger.

Rajveer shuts his eyes on hearing Abhimanyu's words, pain surging through him.

Naina stares Rajveer in shock!

"Gussa aata hai humein aap par Raj! Apne kyun nahi bata di Naina ko apne dil ki baat?",

says Abhimanyu, showing off.

This gives Naina an adrenaline rush.

"Enough...",

scolds Rajveer, keeping control over his anger.

But Naina gets anxious to know further,

"Apko ye sub kaise pata?"

Rajveer turns to look towards Naina in horror.

"Arey ye baat to humne apko batayi hi nahi!",

smiles Abhimanyu, devilishly.

Rajveer's rate of heartbeat picks up pace.

"Apko yaad hai Raj?",

asks Abhimanyu, smiling, pointing an index finger towards Abhimanyu.

Rajveer glares him.

"Chaliye koi baat nahi Rajveer and Naina ki ek short love story jo kabhi puri nahi ho saki, usko unhi ko sunane ka saubhagya hum lete han. With your kind permission.",

he bows a little in front of Rajveer and Naina, earning another glare from Rajveer.

But inside, Rajveer gets nervous.

"Apko wo din yaad hai Raj jis din hum KMA aye the as a music teacher?",

he asks.

Rajveer and Naina knit their brows, remembering the moment.

"Uss din Naina apse milne ke baad hum baad mein jab Rajveer se milne gaye unke room mein, we shared a drink together and talked about a lot of things...",

saying so Abhimanyu pauses, staring both of them, gauging their nervous reaction.

He indicates a 'no' with his index finger,

"No! Aisa kuch nahi hua. Because all we talk about was YOU!",

he indicate towards Naina with his index finger.

Naina's heartbeat picks up pace, she feels lajja on realizing that she has been a topic between them since the time Abhimanyu entered the academy! She never imagined that these two people, the closest friends of her dear brother would play such important roles in her life.

*Flashback*

Reaching Rajveer's room, Abhimanyu walks to the bar and fills himself a glass of water and Raj walks towards the sofa. Whilst filling his glass, Abhimanyu says,

"Waise I must say, I am very impressed with Naina!"

His words succeed in dragging Raj's attention. He looks towards Abhimanyu. Jealousy surges through him yet again but he refuses to acknowledge. The smile on his face fades, but he refuses to acknowledge!

"Ahmm... bohot clear headed hai! Bohot focused hai!",

says Abhimanyu, smiling as he thinks about Naina.

Rajveer although bearing a constant smile, a fade one, on his face, controls his anger on hearing Abhimanyu's words.

The little smile on Raj's face doesn't let Abhimanyu to get acknowledged to the real feeling surging through Rajveer!

"I think she is your... best student!",

smiles Abhimanyu.

Smiling sarcastically, sarcasm which Abhimanyu fails to acknowledge, looking away on hearing his words, Rajveer walking towards the center table, and whilst picking up a pen from the table says,

"Haan Chauhan Sahab..."

"...yeah she is my...",

he continues, picking up the pen, thinking about Naina constantly.

Drifting his eyes towards the pen, he completes his line,

"Best cadet!"

Thinking something, he adds further,

"Lekin maine uske liye kabhi kuch nahi kiya!"

This drags Abhimanyu's attention.

"Usne jo kuch bhi kiya hai uska sara credit; uska sara shrey, khud Cadet Singh ko jata hai",

says Rajveer.

"Haan lekin meri pehchan, mere cadets hi hain, that's it!",

says Raj, looking towards Abhimanyu.

Abhimanyu smiles at this, looking towards Raj.

*Flashback ends*

Naina finds herself at a loss of words on hearing Abhimanyu. With her head bowed, she tries to control her exhilarating rate of heartbeat.

Rajveer looks towards her nervously. There is so much he wants to tell her but the situation is not in his favour, like always.

As Rajveer and Naina were drowned in their respective thoughts, a blur image drags their attention. As Rajveer shifts his attention from Naina to know what it is, his heart skips a beat, shocked on discovering that he is at the gun point of Abhimanyu!

Soon Naina gets out of her reverie too, shocked as hell on realizing the situation.

"Chauhan...",

Rajveer tries to make him understand, forwarding his right hand, as an indication for asking him to stop and not to do anything rubbish.

"Bohot mushkil se Raj apki Naina humari Naintara bani thi.",

says Abhimanyu putting Rajveer par gun point.

The man standing there, too gets nervous and runs away, fearing that Abhimanyu might kill him too eventually, as he seems to him dangerous.

Naina gets nervous too.

"Abhimanyu... nahi... Aap... Aap aisa nahi kar sakte...",

she says, getting nervous.

"Hum aisa karne wale hain Naintara!",

says Abhimanyu, glaring Naina.

Then turning back to look towards Rajveer he says,

"Ache khase khush the hum Raj. Bann gayi thi Naina Naintara. Humari Naintara. Par tum... Tumhe akar sub kuch bigadna tha.",

shouts Abhimanyu on reaching the last line.

On the other hand, the man who ran away calls someone using the reception's phone,

"Hello... Haan apne jaisa kaha tha maine waisa kar diya. Captain Abhimanyu ko unki jankari de di. Wo abhi yahin hain. Wo jo log yahan thehre hue the, wo unke gun point par hain."

The man hears the reply, sweating.

"Agar... Agar goli chal gayi to?? Dekhiye mere yahan pehle kabhi koi police ka locha nahi hua. Apne mujhe ye kahan fansa diya hai."

"Baat paison ki nahi hai. Fir mere yahan koi ayega hi nahi. Aur agar inn mein se kisi ko bhi kuch ho gaya...",

the man dreads!

"Maine sunna hai ki aise situation mein jinki maut hoti hai, unki aatmayein bhatakti hain!",

his rate of heartbeat picks up pace.

"Fir to jald hi mere yahan ke sarey kamre logon ki jagah aatmaon se bhari hongi!",

cries the man.

He gets a reply and soon the line cuts.

Inside the room, Abhimanyu walks closer to Rajveer, pointing the gun towards Rajveer.

"Dekho Chauhan pagal mat bano.",

warns Rajveer.

Rajveer starts taking backward steps, Abhimanyu starts taking forward steps.

"Pagal? Dost abhi to hum hosh mein aye hain."

Naina desperately tries to think of a way to stop this.

She finds a flower vase at the side table.

Picking it up she aims on his back head.

He drops unconscious on the floor.

Naina wipes off the sweat from upon her forehead.

Rajveer and Naina look towards each other in horror.

Together, holding hands, they run away!

4. INDEPENDENCE

As they run on the lonely road, they feel independent. Despite the memories of their encounter with Abhimanyu caging their hearts, they feel independent. Because no more they'll have to face or endure him.

The sparkling lights above in the sky, the noise of fireworks, make them to realize that it's twelve a.m. They look towards each other and wish each other in unison,

"HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!"

Their eyes glitter way more than they would have glittered in any of the prior Independence Days! Because today they indeed can feel it with much more fervor.

Naina realizes that she today is independent of the name Naintara!

Rajveer realizes that he today is independent to share with her all his feelings that he had been holding in his heart for this long.

They together are independent to share their true feelings for each other with each other.

As they run forth they realize that the left turn would lead them to KMA. They look towards each other, their eyes glittering with joy. Their hearts fluttering out of love for each other.

Today, they are independent to show their feelings to each other without any hesitation. Neither does Rajveer have to be nervous about getting caught by Naina, nor would Naina have to worry about Abhimanyu.

Smiling at each other, they walk forth and reach at the entrance of KMA.

Naina gets nervous. What would happen next? How is she going to face her friends; the whole academy? All these thoughts make Naina to go nervous.

Rajveer realizes her nervousness; her dilemma. He stops, facing her, he holds her by her shoulders and looks straight into her eyes. Naina stares back nervously.

"NAINA!",

he addresses her.

Shivers run down her spine.

"NAINA SINGH AHLUWALIA!",

he says.

Her eyes brim with tears.

"You are independent today! An independent woman! Remember that!",

he tells her, sternly.

Naina smiles, whilst crying.

They embrace each other into a tight hug.

"Ab tum kisike qaid mein nahi rahogi Naina. Agar koi zanjeerein hain jo tumhe qaid kar sakti hain ab, to wo hain meri ye baahein!!!",

says Rajveer.

Fresh new tears roll down Naina's cheek. She tightens her hold on him. He does the same.

Leaving each other, they stare each other lovingly. Rajveer slowly wipes off her tears.

Slowly they sneak into the academy.

As they were about to enter the premises, they realize that Dr. Shalini and Brigadier Chandok are discussing something, despite the fact that they have entered after lights out.

Rajveer halts, Naina who is behind him, holding his hand, stops abruptly too. Rajveer putting a finger on his lips indicates Naina to stay quiet.

They wait for Brigader Chandok and Dr. Shalini to leave.

As Brigadier Chandok leaves, Rajveer and Naina take a sigh of relief each. They wait for Dr. Shalini to leave too. But suddenly Dr. Shalini mummers to herself,

"Ek kaam karti hun Captain Rajveer ko jakar keh deti hun ke kal subah pehle first year cadets ka routine checkup hoga, so isliye wo first class shayad na le payein. Waise bhi bohot dino se unhe kaam se jana tha kahin. Bechare classes ke chakkar mein ja hi nahi pa rahe the!",

finishes Dr. Shalini, feeling pity on Rajveer.

Rajveer and Naina stare each other in horror.

Rajveer realizes that he needs to make a quick decision before Dr. Shalini discovers his absence from the academy.

Making up his mind, he declares,

"Main jakar Dr. Shalini ko bata raha hun sub kuch chalo!"

Naina's heart skips a beat on hearing him. She quickly pulls him back, holding his upper hand.

"Nahi Sir bilkul nahi! Aap achi tarah jante hain Dr. Shalini ko.",

prohibits Naina.

Rajveer turns to look towards her, knitting his brows, unable to comprehend with her words.

"Matlab?"

"Mera matlab...",

she lowers her eyes out of hesitation.

Rajveer knits his brows again, wondering what is it?

"Aap jante hain na wo humare barey mein kya sochti hain?"

Naina at this moment feels lajja on realizing yet again that even in this academy so many people know about them! Only they couldn't understand their feelings as early as others did. Or rather she didn't realize her feelings earlier. And when she did realize, it was late... too late!

Her heart aches on remembering the moment. She closes her eyes tight to independent her mind off those thoughts.

Rajveer realizes and his heart skips a beat.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina piano tune begins as they stare each other)

"Naina, wo samjhengi!",

he tells her, lovingly.

Naina nods her head into affirmative,

"I am sure wo samjhengi. Par fir bhi main iss waqt iss state mein nahi hun ke main kisi ka samna kar sakun.",

she confesses earnestly.

This touches Rajveer's heart.

He has more to say, but he chooses to keep it to himself for the time being.

"And frankly I am nervous, agar wo na samjhin to?",

asks Naina.

Rajveer knits his brows, just now she showed her trust on Dr. Shalini, why this sudden change?

"I mean...",

she sighs in confusion.

"See, iss waqt main aap ke alawa kisi par bharosa nahi karti.",

she says earnestly, looking straight into his eyes.

His heart swells on hearing that.

Her change in voice, defines her state of melancholy,

"Abhimanyu par bhi vishwas karke hi unke saath rishta joda tha. Par dekhiye aaj kahan khadi hun."

(Rajveer-Naina sad tune begins)

Rajveer understands, and says,

"Theek hai Naina, jaisa tum chahti ho waisa hi hoga."

Naina smiles looking towards him. Her heart filled with love and respect for Rajveer.

Soon they get distracted by Brigadier Chandok's voice.

"Aaj humare desh ko swatantra hue hue 72 saal pure hogaye hain. Iss afsar par apke beech khade hokar, azad bharat mein saans lete hue mujhe kitni khushi wa ulaas ka prateet ho raha hai iski dharna shayad apko na ho. Mere liye lafzon mein ye baat bayan karna aasan nahi!"

Naina starts feeling nostalgia. Till now her mind was trying to accept the fact that she has left behind Abhimanyu and that place a long time ago. But now she really starts feeling this place; her real home, the place she belongs to. And soon a lump form in her throat. Then her mind wanders towards the person she is standing with! She feels goosebumps as she realizes that previously she used to stand in front of him in occasions such as today's. But today she is independent to stand next to him! The thought succeeds in swelling her heart with love and pride for Rajveer and a smile creeps on her lips along with blush on her cheeks. For once they are at equals.

She feels lajja on realizing how stupid she is being thinking all that.

Standing next to her, Rajveer seems to be lost in thoughts. Seeing his brows creased, Naina somehow feels that he must be thinking about Abhimanyu.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina piano key tune begins)

"We are independent!",

says Brigadier Chandok, proudly, after ending his speech.

Naina looks towards Rajveer, hesitantly.

On realizing her eyes on him, Rajveer turns to look towards her.

They share an intimate eye lock. None of them ready to end it.

(Rajveer-Naina slow xylophone tune begins)

Their eye lock ends on hearing the command that they are to sing the national song followed by national anthem. Looking ahead, keeping aside all their previous feelings, their hearts in no time fills with the feeling of patriotism. Because whatever it is first they are the true soldiers of India and then the normal citizens.

To Naina, what feels like eternity, she feels that she too is a soldier of this free India. Otherwise the cage she was leading her life in had made her to turn into a normal woman and not a brave soldier of free India!

She feels lajja about the fact that her circumstances made her to forget her true identity - soldier! Naina loathes Abhimanyu all the more for that.

As the programme ends their goes a great hustle bustle as all the cadets indulge in greeting each other. Rajveer, making use of the hustle bustle, drags Naina with himself and reaches his room.

Closing it behind him, he switches on the lights and turns to look towards Naina.

He finds her feeling relaxed on getting into the room.

Closing her eyes she inhales the fragrance of his room. It reminds her of only him and him and him!!!

Rajveer stares her, his eyes turning dark on her.

As for Naina, after a long time she feels truly independent. Nostalgia hits her. She feels home here all the more.

Drowning into her thoughts, Naina doesn't realize when a smile creeps on her lips. Walking past her, staring her throughout, Rajveer walks to the bar counter of his room and fills glasses of water for themselves.

Naina feeling extremely tired, falls on his bed, her chest against the bedsheet. Her hands used as pillow, she closes her eyes.

Rajveer turns to give her the glass of water, that sleeping Naina skips his heartbeat.

(Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

He stares her and a knot forms in his throat.

Naina slowly opens her eyes and her smile vanishes as her heart skips a beat on witnessing Rajveer staring her, standing still at his place, holding a glass in his right hand.

Rajveer slowly walks towards her never looking away from her. Naina realizes her position and feels awkward, after all this is not her room, anymore.

She slowly gets up, sitting straight, her eyes cascaded down, her feet touching the ground.

Rajveer never taking his eyes away from her forwards her the glass of water. She accepts it shyly. Holding the glass both of them look towards each other, neither was Rajveer making any effort to give the glass to her, nor was Naina making any effort to take it and hence end this moment where their hands are just inches away from each others.

Rajveer nods into positive lightly, indicating her to drink it, that Naina gets dragged out of her reverie. She feels extremely shy and stays serious.

She drinks the water and holds it back towards Rajveer. As Rajveer was about to take it, she asks for more,

"Aur dijiye!"

The command in her voice amuses Rajveer. A smile comes on his face and he arches a brow. This makes Naina to smile and blush too, lowering her eyes.

Shaking his head, he fills back the glass. As she empties the second fill too, she forwards it in front of him. Rajveer acts to fill it again, this skips Naina's heartbeat. She widens her eyes quickly and exclaims,

"Bus! Bus! Aur nahi!"

This makes Rajveer to laugh secretly and he pulls her leg by saying,

"Nahi nahi Cadet Singh! Don't worry mess mein bohot pani hai!"
