This mostly means their current situation. They are tied together but none of them are able to change their view points . They are sticking to their nazariya and making it difficult to stay with each other.

Probably trying to potray the fact that despite all this they love each other( in future maybe?) . Yet they can't live without each other. Time will tell, how Zara And Kabir , who seem to be destructive for each other will in turn be the best for each other.
