I thought it would be a masterpiece after reading about it on the Internet. It was a average movie.
The acting, dialogues, direction were bad. Some of the scenes were the amateurish (like the scenes where boman tries to convince john to take part of the mission). The first half was boring. The 2nd half was better, but still not that good.
I think the reason everyone is giving it good reviews on the internet is because they feel proud about being an indian at the end of the movie. The movie itself is boring.
I was rooting for the movie before seeing it, now I'm happy it didn't become a hit.

I don't know which Parmanu you have watched, but the one I watched was really well made. I haven't seen a movie with so much indian pride in it in a long time. It was well paced, interesting, easy to understand. It was a lot of fun watching it. Really really nice movie. 👏 👍🏼

Yes, John has cracked the nationalism trick and his next few films also revolve around nationalist themes. He's the new Akshay.

Based on the reviews on the Paramanu thread and the lamenting that people do not appreciate good content, I expected Paramanu to be a crisp, well produced, well acted film on an interesting concept.

Well, Great concept, good content, terrible execution. Reminded me of Madras Cafe. Similar problems. And the #1 problem for me was bad acting. John is a great producer. He or someone on his team has an eye for great scripts. But he should stick to producing. He is just a terrible, terrible actor beyond wooden. Acting as a soldier in a good content movie does not mean bad acting is acceptable. Especially if you are telling a patriotic tale. Like that Paltan trailer yesterday and Paramanu. Boman Irani was reduced to a caricature in Paramanu I could not believe it. I just could not finish the movie.

When you are choosing good scripts, choose actors too. Especially if you are waving the patriotic flag and telling stories about soldiers they deserve their story to be told well and one respectful way to do it IMO is to have good actors. If you are not a good actor, get out of the way. John should stick to producing. Akki he aint when it comes to acting. I am not going to watch a crappy movie even if the content is good if the execution is bad. I cannot connect. I'd rather watch a documentary.

Just finished watching it with family on Netflix. Story and idea were great, yet the execution was lacking. The background score popped up randomly and was needlessly intense for some scenes. The direction was sorely lacking, there was no crispness to the screenplay, and the scenes were choppy with no smooth transition between them. Could have been MUCH better and polished product, yet, despite that me and family enjoyed it. Because they didn't bullshit around with other unnecessary arcs and focused on the main story. I feel like John needs to hire better writers and directors for his productions because this half-backed screenplay problem could have been solved by someone who was even halfway decent at their job. Though I'm still glad he is making the type of content he wants to. I just hope his productions get better in their production quality. And I still would rate Parmanu as a decent one time watch because the story was definitely something interesting.

Saiyaara Male lead is overrated!!!

He is ugly and pretty average from all standards. Doesn’t look like a Bollywood hero material at all. I’m pretty sure he will flop within 2...
