I grew up in the American South when the whole purity ring/virginity craze was at its height and it has been mostly horrifying and at times amusing to see these kids implode in trying to establish their own identity after becoming an adult. Drugs, eating disorders, image struggles, relationship struggles, struggles with their faith. It's been sad to see. Coincidentally most of them are Disney. The whole purity/virginity thing was orchestrated by uber christian parents who exploited their kids and their faith for money and tickets. No one can tell me otherwise. And one of the main architects of this was Mama Jonas. A greedy, stage mother who exploited her kids for an image and which they still struggle with.

Nick has also struggled with gay rumors, dating women older and answering obnoxious questions about his sex life because of the image of his younger years. So I do hope this is sincere and true love.

Mama Jonas is a horrible woman if you ask me who may still wield influence on her sons. This rushing into the engagement makes me pause instead of going awww.

Nick is still a practicing Christian and PC travels with her Mandir. Yet age, religion, nationality, ethnicity are all just barriers if one finds true love. I wish PC and Nick well. For despite the fame, money, travel, designer clothes, blah, blah, blah they are still two people looking for love and I wish them true love and long, happy life together.
