Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's sports drama starring Kangana Ranaut titled Panga

After finishing Ekta Kapoor's Mental Hai Kya, Kangana Ranaut will begin shooting for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's next film. Ashwiny's last film, Bareilly Ki Barfi, was a hit at the box-office and was loved by the audiences. Now her next with Kangana Ranaut, which is based on the backdrop of Kabaddi, has been titled Panga.

A source close to the film revealed that Ashwiny has set her story in north India and Kangana will be seen as the main protagonist. She has a long journey from being a single girl to a married woman, whose spirit for the sport never dies. Ashwiny thought that Panga would be an apt title while she has already started pre-production of the film.

It's said that as soon as Kangana will be done with Mental Hai Kya, she will start prepping up for her role in Panga as it's a tough role. Ashwiny has signed web star, Sumeet Vyas also for the film who was seen opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in Veere Di Wedding.

Kangana has finished the London schedule of Mental Hai Kya and is now back in Mumbai. Kangana also has Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi lined up followed by Mental Hai Kya.

It wasn't a Balki film. He was just facilitating meets for a project with his friend. That's no longer happening.

She'll film this followed by Basu's Imli for now.

I hope it is someone like Vicky Kaushal. I heard the movie is set-up in Bihar/UP. Pankaj Tripathi would be good too.

Another Rajkummar w'ld be an overkill! She's already doing Mental and Imli with him.

I was hoping for Vicky Kaushal too but I wonder if he'll have time now with Takh coming up. I wanted to see him in this one and in Battle For Bitora with Sonam. Scoring lead roles alongside A-list heroines would be as interesting for him as playing second lead in a big movie (though Karan usually handles second roles well I was disappointed with what he did in that washout that was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil)

And indeed, I love Rajkumar Rao but three movies in a row with the same heroine will be too repetitive especially since those are back to back projets for Kangana. The audience will end up confused.

They need to find a good actor and charismatic actor.
