to hit the screens, but the daughter of Saif
Ali Khan and Amrita Singh already has an
interesting line up of films. The star kid, who
is currently busy shooting for Rohit Shetty
and Karan Johar's Simmba, might bag her
third project soon.
But what is all the more exciting is the fact
that if things go as planned, Sara will get to
share screen space with dad Saif. According
to a report in a daily, it's a slice-of-life
relationship drama about a father and his
daughter. The film is said to be director by
Nitin Kakkar of Filmistaan fame.
"It's a comical, but poignant take on the
friendship and the equation that exists
between a baap and his beti. But it will have
a message, too," a sourced told the daily.
The report suggests that the makers have
approached Sara and Saif for the film, and
apparently both of them have expressed
their interest. "Nitin has also approached
Sara Ali Khan for the role of the daughter.
This will probably be Saif and Sara's first film
together. Both of them have liked the story
and have verbally given their nod. Now, the
modalities and the dates need to be sorted
out. Sara and Saif were Nitins first choices
and the makers thought it would make for
an interesting casting coup."
When the daily contact Saif, he said, "Nitin
and I have been in talks for a film, but its in
the early stages. We haven't finalised it yet.
The script is good."
If Saif is getting eave reviews for Sacred
Games, Sara is awaiting the release of her
debut film Kedarnath.
