why all the celebrities politicians go to foreign for their treatment? don't we have good hospitals here? is India such a backward country😭

Medical tourism is booming in India , celebs uses for non intrusive of media.

Indian hospitals have better doctors which is why there is something called medical tourism that is flourishing.

Celebrities go to other countries for privacy mostly. Mob mentality here makes life difficult for them. Also they wouldn't want their fans to see them deglamourized

I think privacy/anonymity would be a big factor. Especially for Cancer where Chemotherapy/radiation would require multiple visits to the hospital.

Surgeries are one-off. You are in and out. Thats why a lot of surgical procedures happen in India (Shah's shoulder surgery,AB's hospitalisation etc).

Infra in Mumbai wont be very far behind the West unless everyone is getting treated at Sloan Kettering or something.

Indian Medical services are at par with the BEST in the world... and its cheaper too, that's why so many foreigners, from different countries, even USA come to India for treatment...

These celebs can afford to pay 10 times more for the same services available in India and also privacy is of utmost importance to them, hence they choose going abroad...

yes why do they ??? considering these people specially politicians will get the best hospital...best treatment...best facilities on a priority basis ( they won't have to wait like aam aadmi does) and there is no chance of hospitals looting them like they do with aam public.

USA and other countries have better medical services and doctors compared to India. It's not only Indians but people other countries too travel to London and other countries to be treated based on doctor's recommendation.
