Naagin 3 has a great cast with the only exception of some people. It has an intriguing story that can outshine the previous two seasons of the show. However there are so many things that is wrong with the show that keeps it from shining. The show has many loopholes that writers don't care to acknowledge, they are introducing to many new characters, there is no character developments, the dialogues are not strong but instead cheesy, the supporting casts are sidelined.
I always stay away from Indian tv show because I never connect to them and there is no logic. I am still giving this show a chance because I like the lead actors. I notice in this generation the indian audiences are becoming more outspoken on twitter, facebook and instagram demanding more better quality written tv shows. I've read how many indian audiences are turning to international shows aka american shows and movies instead of watching their own. This is because we as audience wants to see logic and realism in the shows. We want to be able to connect with characters and story which is what Indian tv shows lack. When you look at international shows like "This is us, The Crown, Stranger things, Black Mirror, One tree hill, The vampire diaries" etc. What makes people connect to these shows and so much more is because of it's realism, the dialogues, the acting, the emotional aspects of the story, the suspense, the thrills and relationship these characters have with one another. In these shows every character is given a story arc and their moment to shine. This is something Indian tv shows lack. Channels and creators are in competition with one another for ratings they don't bother to give well written shows. When a few try to, it gets shut down because of ratings.Coming back to Naagin 3 let's talk about a few loopholes...1) When Yuvi and his gang assaulted Ruhi and attacked Vikrant; Ruhi face was not damaged. But when they introduced Bela as Ruhi and the reason why she got the new face it did not make sense at all because her face wasn't damaged in the first place. Unless she did that damage herself. The writers should have addressed this issue better than they did. However I love Surbhi as Bela/Ruhi. Karishma is good but I like Surbhi more.2) The second loophole is Bela and her dad relationship. The writers never dwelled into that properly. How did they meet, is her fake dad a naagin to, how did the proposal with Yuvi even occurred etc. The second episode just jumped right in to Yuvi and Bela engagement without showing audiences what happened and who Bela and her father was. We are now on episode 10 I think and nothing..3) The next loophole is Yuvi. Apparently his parents don't care what happened to him and hasn't even acknowledge him since he "ran away". There are many complexities and more to show about Yuvi character. The way how the writers written him off was disappointed and even more so when his own family fails to acknowledge him in the show, Of course we as the audience know this and point it out but apparently the writers don't seem to bother which is a turn off for audiences.4) The other loopholes are so many story arc are all over the place and they are introducing even more stories without giving closures to others. The story arc with Yuvi and his gang should have been played out more longer then bring in a few new characters. As for character development...1) Vish: We still don't know who Vish is other than being Ruhi friend aiding her in her revenge plot. All we can assume is we will come to know more about Vish in the future episodes and if she really is Ruhi friend or not.2) Mahir: Not at all happy with his character development. These recent episodes are focusing on showing Mahir and Bela romance which is fine but we as an audience don't know Mahir as a character fully. I don't want Mahir to just be a love interest but I want him to have a great story arc to. Indian tv shows in my opinion always fail to give the male lead a great story arc and I hope the same doesn't happen here.3) Andy Sehgal and Sumitra: The show has been focusing more on the leads they fail to portray the supporting cast in a better light. I believe these two characters has more to offer and should be given the screen space they deserve. In all the show is an average for me but there is room for them to improve more. However I have my doubts because it's always about ratings more. I always say not one person makes a show but the entire cast and they need to find time to include everyone in a 1 HOUR episode. No one should be sidelined. Thank you.
