Part 3 -  The Second month.

Saturday night

After watching a romantic movie, naina turns to sameer "sameer, muje meetha khane ka mann kar rha hai" sameer smiles and bends to kiss her when she stops him placing her palm on his lips. "yeh wala meetha nahi, muje sachhi wala meetha Khane ka mann hai". Sameer crunches his eyebrows for spoiling this moment and then looks towards the clock "12am".

"naina iss time par?"
"sameer pregnancy mei kabhi bi kuch bi khane ka mann ho sakta h" and she makes a puppy face. She knew sameer can't resist her cuteness, and as expected it worked.
"acha mai lekar ata hoon kuch kitchen se" and he goes to the kitchen.

After a few minutes, he comes back with a disappointed face.
"naina kitchen mei toh kuch nahi hai"
"par mera mann bohat bechain ho rha hai sameer.. Agar kuch meetha nahi khaya toh muje neend nahi aegi."
"aise kaise nahi aaegi mai hoon na" and he tries to cheer her up by pulling her to him. But she resists his advances.
"naina yeh kya hai.. Ab itni raat ko mai meetha khana se laaun" he says irritated
"market se" she replies, grinning wide
"hanji kyu nahi.. Mere mamaji ki dukaan hai na jo raat ko 12 baje khuli hogi mere liye" he mocks while naina was not ready to budge
"ice-cream toh mil hi jaegi na sameer.." and she again tries to melt him with her cute antics, tracing a line slightly on his face with her finger.
As he was about to bite it, she withdraws, making him frown.
"sameer kyu inti zidd kar re ho..jao na.."
"naina.." he again tries to make her understand
"sameer meetha khane ka mann mera nahi.. Baby ka kar rha hai.. Ab kya tum baby ke liye itna ni karoge", she places his hand on her belly.. and thats it.
Sameer looks at her with a " thats not fair" look. Whenever naina wanted him to do something out of the box, she would emotionally attach that thing to the baby.
He gives her a "ok i lost" expression and prepares to go to the empty streets for searching ice cream while naina mentally did a winning dance.

After about 1 hour sameer returns, with a tub of ice- cream. Naina almost screams with happiness, giving him a quick hug she snatches the chocolate ice cream from him and runs to the bed to begin savouring each bite of her favourite flavour.

Making himself comfortable beside her, Sameer just adores her cuteness, resisting himself from licking those chocolate marks on the corner of her lips. He then gulps seeing naina's next move, her eyes closed and the tongue licking those luscious lips again and again. She opens her eyes only to feel her man's desire leaden eyes on her. She bites her lower lip, while he groans, trying his best to take eyes off her.
But she looked so tempting  in that knee-length, light pink night dress. Her hair tied up in a high ponytail. Only he knew how he had watched the full movie, with her being resting in his arms.

Naina offers a spoon of it to him, distracting him from the thoughts, she knew that are prevailing in his mind. He knew the trick she is playing, so without shifting his gaze from her face, he takes the offering, but not without tracing his tongue on her thumb. She shivers with the touch "why are these ice cream spoons so small" she thought.
She continues quenching her craving, avoiding his eyes while sameer's craving increased with each bite she took. As she was about to take the last one, she offers it to him but before he could repeat the last action, she quickly turns the spoon to her mouth, thus taking the last bite. Naina  chuckles at her own action and  places the tub at the side table.

"sameer thankyou soo much.. You satisfied my craving, even at this hour of night."she said cheerfully, trying to bring him back.
Sameer smiles" anything for you and our baby".
Naina reciprocates the smile "now lets sleep" and she lays down, pulling the blanket over them  when sameer stops her holding her hand "but what about my cravings?" and he inches closer to her, shifting his position on top of her, placing hands on either side of her head. He was careful enough to not put his weight on her belly. So just his upper body was resting against hers, rest on the bed.

He looks into her eyes, reflecting the same longing, as if saying that "the meetha craving was not just limited to food". His lips inches closer to hers, licking the chocolate from the corners and felt a bit of sanity, he was so waiting for this. Naina closes her eyes, and encircles her arm around his neck, pulling him closer.

Sameer's patience was not working now, without wasting a single second he captures her lips,  his hands now resting below her ears, caressing her cheeks simultaneously and shifting her face to match the angle while naina's hands now ran through his hair. The kiss was first sloppy and soft, his lips trying to taste every bit of that chocolate flavour that rested on her lips a while ago. The kiss then became more harder and intense, lips moving in perfect sync and  becoming more passionate by the second. Their breaths mingling.
Breaking the kiss, he rests his forehead against hers, both trying to catch the breath.
"i crave for you every second" he says while she just smiles.
He now shifted his attention to silky cloth that covered her shoulder. He looks into her eyes while she just blinks them, waiting for him to make the next move.
His hands runs through her back impatiently and his eyes reflected victory on finding the zip. Opening the zipper, he slides down the cloth from her shoulder and starts placing kisses all over her neck and collarbone. . Naina closes her eyes, feeling the pleasure, running her fingers through his hair.

He proceeds more downwards but stops, he knows if he would go further, it would get impossible for him to control his raging desires. She too would not be able to resist and at this time this is not good. He shuts his eyes, controllong the heat within him while naina opens her eyes with a jerk when she felt the stop of movement.
She lifts his face and  caresses his cheek while he opens his eyes. Seeing the questioning look he says " few days ago i read the 'donts list' given by the doctor and all this is not good for you and the baby" he says, shifting himself off from her and covers her with the blanket. She looks at him "iam so lucky to have you" and smiles.
He takes her into his arms, hugging her closely "me too"  after kissing her forehead they retires to sleep.

After some days.

Sameer returns from his morning walk. On entering the house, a fragnance reaches him, and he sighs, making his way towards the kitchen he exclaims "bhabhi kya bna rahe ho" and was surprised to see mamiji there.
"mamiji aap?" he asks entering the kitchen
"han.. Naina bahu ke liye paranthe bna rahi hu.. Khoob sara ghee dalke.."
And she grins wide.
"bas naine ke liye.. Mere liye nahi?"  he fakes anger.
"arey mere bacche tere liye bi hai" she pulls his cheeks
"acha mai ready ho jata hu.. Yeh mere lunch ke liye pack kardo" giving a side hug, he retires to the room.

When he enters the room after having a good bath, he finds naina and mamiji arguing over something.
"naina bahu khale na...yeh tere liye or bacche ke Liye acha hai.." and she takes the bite to her mouth while naina looks away, holding her nose.
"nahi mamiji mera bikul mann nahi hai..ismei bohat ghee hai.."she makes a face,pushing the bite to the plate.
" naina khalo na.. Mamiji ne itne pyaar se bnaya hai "sameer interferes
Naina looks at him , he nodds in assurance so she gulps and tries to take the bite but as soon as the smell of ghee reaches her nose, she runs to the bathroom. Sameer rubs her back while she pukes and tears too makes way in her eyes.
As she wipes the face, she hugs sameer and sobs. Sameer understands it to be another mood swing and tries to calm her down. Mamiji stood rooted to the spot,waiting for them to come.

"naina kya hua.."
"sameer.. Muje vo nahi khana.. Ghee ki smell se hi muje kuch ho rha hai"
"theek hai baba matt khao.. Ab rona band karo"
"nahi sameer.. Mamiji ne itne pyaar se bnaya.. Ab vo gussa hongi"she says breaking the hug. In this one year he couldn't understand why was she so afraid of mamiji. She behaved so nicely with her then why this hesitation.
He cups her face" nahi hongi gussa chalo bahar"

He holds her by her shoulder to give support while she just cluthes his tee.
"mamiji naina ko nahi khana yeh.. Aap mere liye hi pack kardo" he says while naina looks at the floor.
Mamiji smiles and comes to her. She lifts her face "naina beta.. Mai samjti hu.. Agar tumhe nahi khana toh mai zabardasti nahi karungi lekin jo khana hai tum muje btana.. Mai bnaungi.. Theek hai?" she says softly and naina nodds smiling
"thankyou mamiji.. Or sorry bhi"
"nahi beta sorry matt bol.. Chal ab aram karle.. Or sameer tu bi tyaar hoja varna tere mamaji ka phone ajaega" and she goes to pack the lunch

"dekha kuch nahi bola mamiji ne" he says and carefully makes her lie on the bed
"sameer.. Muje ghar chordo"
"ghar.. Kyu?"
"vo..chachiji ne mere liye ladoo bnaye hai.. Pooja didi ke time bi bnaye the.. Muje vo bohat pasand hai.. Or khane ka bi mann hai"
"theek hai.. Mai mamiji ko bta deta hoon"
"nahi sameer.. Unhe matt btana.. Vo bura maan jaengi.. Mai shaam tak aa jaungi"
Sameer was going to argue but stopped seeing her condition. She could cry at any time and he cant see that.

Sameer and naina were about to exit the house when bela chachi entered "naina beta kahan jaa rhi hai.."
"chachiji aap? Yahan?" and she hugs her mother like figure.
"han.. Tere liye yeh ladoo laay hu.. Tuje bohat pasand hai na"
She nodds cheerfully and takes the box from her. She pulls chachiji with her to the sofa and starts relishing those ladoo's.
Chachiji caressed her hair, delighted on seeing her daughter happy. "maine kaha tha na jab tera time ayga tuje bi khilaungi" chachiji says while naina takes a break and gives a warm hug to her.
Sameer cherishes the moment and the bond they shared.Without disturbing their moment, he tip toes outwards and takes the leave.

"arey sambdhan ji aap" asks mamiji entering the hall.
"ji namaste" replies chachiji getting up.
When the greetings were getting exchanged, mamiji noticed the ladoo box.
"arey naina bahu yeh kya kha rahi ho"
"mamiji vo chachiji ne mere liye laddoo bnaye hai, muje yeh bohat pasand hai" naina smiles, and chachiji too.
"acha.. Or jo maine subah paranthe bnaye the
Unka kya" voiced mamiji, sarcasm laced in her tone.
Naina stops eating the ladoos and gets up to face her while chachiji was confused at the happenings.
"mamiji sorry vo muje ghee ki smell.." naina started to be cut off " han han mai jo bnau usmei 100 nuks nikalne hai lekin mayke se aya hua ungliyaan chaat chaat kar khana hai... Hai na?"
Mamiji's loud voice made naina shiver.
"lekin apne subah sameer ke samne toh.."
"uske samne tuje kuch keh ni sakti thi isliye ab keh rahi hu.. Kaan kholkr sunle.. Apni pooja didi ke kadam par chalne ki zaroorat nahi hai.. Varna iss halat mei bi tuje ghar se nikalne mei..."
"mamiji.." an anger laced manly voice boomed in the hall making all three startled.

Sameer was standing at the threshold, infuriated, his eyes red and fuming.
Sameer takes a look at naina, who  was trying hard to control herself while chachiji stroked the back to calm her, eyes glistening with water.
He then shifts his eyes to mamiji and takes big steps towards them.

"sameer beta mai toh.." she tried explaining but sameer signs her to stop
"maine sab sunliya mamiji..kya kaha apne.. Ki mere samne aap naina ko kuch nahi keh sakti thi..ab muje samjh aa rha hai ki kyu naina itna darr rahi thi subah sachh bolne mei..."
"sameer.." naina tried to speak
"nahi naina..aaj tum kuch nahi bologi.."

" mamiji mana maine ki apko naina pasand nahi thi...muje laga aap 1saal mei use pasand karne lagi hai.. Lekin nahi.. Mai galat tha.. Aap toh use kabhi apna hi nahi paay. Iss halat mei bi aap uspar chilla rahi hai.. Use ghar se bahar nikalne ki.." he stopped, even in his dreams he could not say that. He felt ashamed of himself on not being able to recognise the hesitation of naina. He was annoyed that why naina had not discussed  what taunts she had gone through in this one year while he was away. Oh ya.. Obviously, why would she want him to fight with his family for her.

"how could you naina.." his mind repeated
He looks at her who was still shivering, the words mamiji was going to voice could make any woman's fear surface. The fear of being thrown away by the inlaws is a feeling that prevails in the heart of each women, even if they are buried deep inside. And in this condition, these fears gets more power.

Mamiji was trying to find words when sameer holds naina by her shoulder to tell her that he is with her and nobody could do any harm to her and their relation. He has vowed to be by her side from the time he had fallen for her and he would fulfill that till he is alive. She finally manages to look in his eyes  only to find the boats of safety and assurance floating in the ocean of love.

Chachiji felt proud and lucky that her damaad is so supportive towards his wife.. And could fight anyone and any unjustice towards her to keep her happy.
"damaad ji.. Mai chalti hu.." chachiji says softly while sameer nodds.
Mamiji was trying to supress her anger and embarrassement" sameer tune dekha nahi kaise mere banaye hue khane par naak sikorr li thi or ladoo kitne shok se kha rahi thi. " she still tried to prove her point.

Sameer gives a look" mamiji aap 2 baccho ki maa hai.. Aap toh zyada jaanti hogi na ki iss time par kya khane ka mann karta hai orr kya nahi " he tries to keep his voice as soft as possible
"lekin.."
Sameer started to argue but naina pokes him, pleading not to say anything further.
"bas mamiji.. Jo bolna tha aap bol chuki.. Chalo naina room mei" he signed off.

"sameer tumhe aise baat nahi karni chahiye thi mamiji se.. Unhe kitna bura laga hoga" says naina as she lays down. Sameer covers her with the duvet "or unhone jo tumse kaha uska kya"
"sameer.."
"nahi naina.. Tumne bi muje kuch ni btaya aaj tak ki mere peeche se vo tumhare saath kaisa vyavhaar karti hai" he says disappointed.
"mai ni chachti thi ki meri vajah se koi jhagda ho..or fir yeh sab toh har ghar ki kahani hai"

"naina.. Hoti hogi har ghar ki kahani lekin mere ghar mei,Meri biwi ke saath aisa kuch ho yeh mai bardasht ni karunga.yaad rakhna i will do anything to protect you and our baby.. Anything" he orders. Naina tried to recollect what good deeds she had done for which she got a husband like him.

" ab so jao..kal mummy aa jaengi toh vo tumhara khyaal rakhengi.. Ab muje kisi se koi umeed nahi hai " he says brushing his hair
" maa aa rahi hai? "naina asks happily
" han.. Vahi btane aya tha or yeh sab... Tum so jao "
He kisses her forehead and goes to office. Naina closes her eyes. She knew that this would happen someday, the truth would come out. But she was still not relieved, she was still blaming herself for what all happened. She decided to talk to sameer about it once his anger subsidises.
