Arjun Kapoor on equation with Janhvi-Khushi after Sridevi's death: Too

Last year, in an interview, Arjun Kapoor
had said that he has no relationship with
his half-sisters Janhvi and Khushi. All that
changed with Sridevi's sudden and untimely
death.
Needless to say, it has been a difficult time
for Boney Kapoor, Janhvi and Khushi.
Through it all, Arjun and his sister Anshula
have stood by the family like rocks.
From lashing out at negativity against Janhvi
to sending her his love and support before
the trailer launch of her debut film Dhadak,
Arjun has been every bit the doting brother.
In an interview with a leading daily, Arjun
opened up about the change in his
relationship with Janhvi and Khushi, after
Sridevi's demise.
"It's difficult for me to give a one-off reply,
or in a 'by the way' manner. I actually need a
lot of time to process what has happened.
But I just did what I felt impulsively at that
point. Between me and my sister (Anshula),
we felt that it was the right thing to do," he
said.
Arjun said that they were "still figuring
things out and picking up the pieces".
Talking about the times he stood up for
Janhvi on social media, he said, "I'm a really
emotional person, so my emotions do come
out [especially on social media]. So, you can
say that my protective side comes around in
those moments."
Even though Arjun will "continue to be that
way as a brother and as somebody who's
always looking out for their best interest",
he said that he still does not have answers
to a lot of things. "Too much has happened
and I wouldn't wish these things even on
my worst enemies. I've experienced it first-
hand, so if I encompass everything in one
answer, it would make the matter very
small," he said.
The Ki & Ka actor said that someday,
perhaps, he will talk about his feelings in
detail, but "right now, there are too many
emotions to feel". He added, "As somebody
who has always been extremely close to his
father, I want Janhvi and Khushi to be
absolutely okay as much as I would want
Anshula to be fine. But the things that have
led us to these circumstances are extremely
tragic; that's why I need some more time to
figure out what life holds [for us]."
Arjun said that Janhvi and Khushi were "very
nice, sensible kids" and handled themselves
with a lot of grace and dignity in the wake
of the tragedy.
Janhvi is all set to make a splash in
Bollywood in just a few days, and Arjun is
looking forward to watching her debut film.
Dhadak, which also stars Ishaan Khatter, is
set to hit the theatres on July 20.
