On a random boring saturday i was randomly hovering around and then randomly chanced upon a thread.
i wanted to check out that thread again today and well.. chanced upon this one.
so yes.. i am as neutral as neutrals come coz i have no clue about both the authors. But as a writer can't help posting my unsolicited views anyways.
firstly.. the first accusatory thread REEKED of arrogance. it is one thing to be confident and sure of own talent and worth. it is another to think that others are worthless beings.
Hall of fame seriously? three quarters of entire IF probably never heard of it.
I have quit posting in many a forums long time back.. yet sometimes i discover myself being on the 'today' wall. errr.. how?
and again.. hall of fame seriously? what is that? progress report?
what should and must matter to a writer is how much of a genuine appreciation her work is garnering. likes? if one sends 1000 pms people who don't even read will 'like' out of courtesy. happens.
great writer.. subjective again.
There are lot many works which i personally will think as trash but they have maximum followers coz those works play to the gallery.
while genuinely good works don't find the appreciation they deserve.
and then sometimes great ones get great appreciation.
how can one proclaim that oneself is a great writer while others should languish in bottom? amazing arrogance i say.
and accusing someone of being an MID is also against forum rules. if rules are to be followed let's not cherry pick.
accusing someone on whim and fancy is deplorable.
the only thing that warrants public lynching will be... plagiarism.
not a silly hall of fame.
may the innocent party find peace.
