Hey guys, I am obsessed with books and have come across a fair amount of books which fail to receive all the love and appreciation it deserves.
So, let's use this thread to bring those books to the spotlight.

I personally want people to read Burial Rites by Hannah Kent. The writing is so beautiful and the reader feels completely transported. Set in Iceland, this book deals with the execution of Agnes who has committed a crime. Throughout the book, we watch her crave for life but admitting the crime all the same. I vividly remember reading this in a humid weather of Kuwait yet constantly searching for a blanket because the description of the place felt so real! Lastly, this suspenseful book is based on a true story. You can find yourself weeping your heart out.

Burial Rites was gifted to me and I am yet to read it. You make it sound so good. Its definitely up on my TBR now.

Lydie is a beautiful graphic novel. I haven't seen anyone talk about this. The most special thing about it was how the story was so heartbreaking yet so heart warming in the same breath. I haven't read anything like this before. It's story of a young mother who lost her child then believed the child came back to her and is narrated by the statue of Madonna.
