Mr bhalla was hugging toshiji and Ishra tight while they were just hugging him happily.
After sometime, Mr bhalla broke the hug and said -i think hume engagement ki preparations shuru kar deni chahiye.
Appa -i too think same, kab jaana hai ishu ko.
Mr bhalla -within fifteen days.
Appa -itni jaldi, how I am going to arrange for everything. Matlab visa, passport, phir engagement, itni jaldi toh loan bhi nahi milega.
Mr bhalla -that u don't worry mr iyer, I will arrange everything.
Appa -nahi, why will u do all this, I am her father, mera bhi toh farz hai.
Mr bhalla -i know, but ishita ka career iss samay jyada important hai, u need around five lakhs ,just now to set her in Auckland after her engagement, joh ki shayad bahut bada amount hoga aapke liye, that's why I want u to help. If u want u can repay it to me afterwards, but for now, we have to settle our kids. Aur phir mujhe lagta hai hume hamare rishte mein paise nahi laana chahiye, coz both of us want our kids happiness, isn't it. He said making appa think. He thought for a while and said -but I will repay it.
Mr bhalla smiled and said -ofcourse,u can return the amount afterwards but now, we should start preparations for their engagement.he said to which all nodded and Toshiji said -main pandit ji ko bulati hoon.
Soon they called the pandit and Ishra engagement got fixed after a week.
Toshiji happily fed sweets to Ishra. She kissed ishita's forehead and blessed her. Raman too hugged toshiji happily.
Raman -papa, engagement ka invitation card mujhe dijiyega, I want to give it to someone.
Mr bhalla -kisse puttar??
Raman -uss Shagun ko, I want to show her that my ishita is not a cheater like her, she truly loves me aur hum Ek hone jaa rahe hai.
Mr bhalla -ok, kar lena. But I think how u and Toshiji should start preparations, ishita aur uske parent ko bhi jaana chahiye apne ghar to start the preparations.
Appa nodded and they walked out, thought ishita want to meet Raman in private but couldn't voice it in front of all.
Soon iyers went and Toshiji said -chal puttar, bahut saari shopping karni hogi, tere liye, ishita puttar ke liye. Teri shaadi ke liye bahut saari shopping karni hai mujhe. She was saying when Raman said -but maa, how can we do shopping without ishita, aakhir uski bhi toh engagement hai, usse bhi toh apni pasand ka outfit chunna chahiye. He said making toshiji think.
Toshiji -baat toh teri sahi hai, aisa karte hai usse bhi saath le chalte hai, go and stop her before she goes away. She said and Raman ran out to call ishita.
After five minutes, they came back and Toshiji said -madhu, if u don't mind, can I take ishita with us, shopping ke liye.
Appa -amma look at each other and they nodded happily. Ishita got happy and Toshiji said -chal puttar bahut shopping karni hai.
Ishita nodded and they went for shopping while amma -appa went to their house.
Soon ishra and Toshiji was in a boutique looking for dresses for ishita. Toshiji was looking at heavy lehengas when Raman came with a duppata and asked putting it on Ishita's head -maa, yeh kaisa lag raha hai??
Toshiji look at the duppata, it was in the lightest shade of pink, beautifully embroidered.
Toshiji -bahut sundar, isme ishita ka rang bhi kitna khil kar aa raha hai. Yahin le lete hai, bhaiya yeh de do, aur isse matching outfit dikhao, dulhe ke liye, after all he is also gora chitta like ishita, she said smiling while Ishra were just looking at each other happily.
They picked outfits for them and then went to pick rings for their engagement.
They were looking for rings, they checked many and finally settled on simple solitaires. They look at each other smiling and then went to have food. Raman was holding ishita and Toshiji on either side protecting them from the crowd. Ishita smiled at her protective raman and said -u know raman, u r the best.
Raman -that I know, but u don't know that I am best as I have u. He said and smiled.
All had their food in the cafe joint and then went home dropping ishita home. Amma -appa have started the preparations while Mr bhalla gave raman the invitation card of their engagement. He was happily going to shagun's house to invite her but Mr bhalla stopped him and said -kal hum dono unhe invite karne chalenge, it's pretty late.
Toshiji -haan puttar, tu thik bhi toh gaya hai ,aaj rest kar le, kal chale jaana, Main bhi chalungi.
Raman nodded and all had their dinner discussing about the function.then all went to their room. Raman called ishita and both talked for long and finally slept talking to each other.
Next day, Raman and his parent went to invite Shagun and her parent as he was college dean.shagun got happy seeing them and talking about marriage thinking they r talking about Raman and Shagun but got shocked hearing about Ishra marriage.
Shagun -yeh kaise ho sakta hai, ishita toh Auckland jaa rahi hai, naa papa.
Mr bhalla -haan, but after her and Raman's engagement. Wahin hamari bahu hogi, Raman ne usse hi pasand kiya hai, toh we have decided to send her after their engagement.
Shagun -aisi kya khoobi hai usme ki aap log uski aur raman ki shaadi karwa rahe hai, I am more beautiful then her, usse ameer bhi hoon, educated bhi. She said making a dirty face.
Toshiji -at first she is more beautiful then u, and secondly she is my raman's choice and we don't want anything other then his happiness. Issliye hum inn dono ki shaadi kara rahe hai, and lastly who r u to ask this, sirf invitation dene aaye hai, suggestion lene nahi. She said straightly making Shagun face fall while Raman smiled at toshiji's answer.
Soon bhallas left shagun's house leaving fuming Shagun behind.
Slowly time start passing, everyone got busy in preparation of ishra engagement. Finally the day came, ishita got ready in her pink lehenga with matching accessories while Raman too got ready in his outfit.
Soon everyone was in the function and on stage. Pandit ji was enchanting mantras and told the mothers to give Ishra the rings to exchange.
Toshiji gave ring to raman and he slipped it into Ishita's finger. Amma gave ring to ishita and she slipped it into Raman's finger smiling looking down blushing.
All clapped for the lovely couple and they took blessings from their parents.
Mr bhalla kissed ishita's forehead and said -khush reh puttar, hamesha hamara naam uncha karna. I am so proud of u.
Ishita -thank u papa ji, aapke aur raman ke support ke bina main itna bada faisla nahi kar paati. Shayad appa bhi nahi maante mujhe yun akele bhejne ko.
Mr bhalla -but now everything is sorted. I just want to see both of u growing in ur career. Bahut tarakki karo and make us proud.
Ishita -will surely do this papa ji. She said and was touching his feet when he stopped her and hugged her tight.
Raman came to them and said -saari planning maine ki aur pyaar saara ishita ko. Not fair, I too want hug. He said ever so cutely.
Mr bhalla smiled and said -aaja mera bachcha, tu toh meri sabse achcha beta hai. I love u more then my life. He said and pulled raman in the hug. Ishra hugged mr bhalla happily while all were just admiring them.
