A commercial movie on anyone is hardly a tribute imo. Film makers will always add masala and add/delete things as per their whims. It's not like she is an unknown warrior. The biggest tribute she got was the inclusion of the poem- Khoob Ladi Mardaani, woh toh jhaansi wali rani thi- in the syllabus of kids studying in primary/secondary classes. She has been a kids' favourite coz of this very reason.
IDK i think people can learn more about her life through this movie. I know I have been super excited to watch about her life on big screen ever since this news came out. Maybe I'm the only one who feels like that. She is the one person along with APJ Abjul Kalam whose lives I really wanted to watch as biography movies. Literature and reading about her definitely are good ways to appreciate and remember her, but watching her come alive in a movie format is something I have always just wanted to see. I guess it's a personal thing. 😆 And yes I agree about filmmakers adding masala here and there, but that's the drawback I can look over as long as they are faithful to her life events for the most part. Though there will be no romance apart from her short marriage, so that's at least avoiding one pitfall that most such biographies tend to fall in.
