Rishi and Ranbir Kapoor shine at Filmfare

Its not everyday, a son gets the Best Debutant Award and the father the Lifetime Achievement Award. But if you are the Kapoors in Bollywood, expect the unexpected. While Ranbir Kapoor grabbed the new comer's award, an hour later dad Rishi Kapoor was bestowed the honour for his body of work, spread over 36 years.
The dapper actor, flush from his success feels that, he has been in the news all year long because of several reasons. First, everybody knew that Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om was a remake of Karz, Rishi Kapoor's perhaps, all time hit.. Himmesh Reshammiya wanting to cash in on the fame of Karz decided to shoot a remake for himself. However numerology saw him spelling the title as Karrrz.
And the finale came when Ranbir Kapoor was unanimously accepted by the public. Rishi Kapoor is a proud man, but his wife appears to be even more excited with the success of both the men in her family. Neetu Kapoor is all set to throw a lavish spread of Yakhni Pulao, Mutton peshawari for the two awardees come tomorrow night.
"I am more excited about Ranbir. Rishi can handle himself, but Ranbir is a baby", gushes the mom in Neetu Kapoor. "This is his first award and a Filmfare to boot. I am just so happy."
The father has put in 36 years, the son his first. The film maker who can get the two to act together will have a casting coup of sorts as well as a hit in his hands. With women of all ages being either a fan of the father or of the son, the film will be a runaway hit at the box office.
