Every one knows the plot of KGK is excellent, but it's treatment was hawloruous. YHM was such a sweet story but Ekta madam made a hot mess of it. Anyways SKTKS is not the saas-bahu genre, it is the desi urban genre where everyone is a hutiya with no overtly positive character like Ekta's heroines. Go watch the most of thecomedy series, skits and so on in Indian YOUTUBE channels, you will see similarity in genre where every character is flawed. Unlike Ekta's show where protagonists are God and Goddess.

The film had the BEST emotional climax for a small film in ages. It was almost Bajarangi Bhaijan-esque in terms of emotion and the main leads 'acted' their parts well.

When the emotion works out that way, there is no stopping a film. The same happened with SKTKS. The misogynist angle got the youth initially, the climax (mainly) helped get good WOM.

I liked it. Fun-time pass movie it was. There is a dearth of good comedy movies, so any remotely good movie might be passed as awesome and great. Overrated? Yes, it was. But it was still a good movie, even if it was illogical. Alok Nath was the show stealer movie. Nushrath is talented and should get bigger projects(I know she won't). Karthik Aryan seems like a poor man's Varun Dhawan, with worse looking face.
The people who are asking what was bad in Sweety, remember Titu's dialogue in the end? He said it's not about who is right or wrong, it's about whom he has to choose, Sonu or Sweety? The movie was promoting the concept of bromance over romance, though I agree that the characters were OTT.

it wasn't a bad movie but it could have been a lot funnier. I personally could relate to it a lot as I had friend go through something very similar.
