Was Shani an ideal person? Justify.

I think the real shani was not ideal always but the show left no stone unturned to show him a theoretically ideal character! In fact in our mythologies almost all characters are showed somewhat deviated in some versions or another.
by the way this show tried hard to show shani as the perfect detached character and they are successful in their attempt. i did not find any wrong in the show for the character development of shani!

As far as I know , in mythology , Shani is known to be shrewd and merciless...but in the show he was shown kind and he always gave chances to others for mending their wrong ways...Shani forgot to punish mali-sumali , Indra dev during introduction track of hanuman and even he never punished Yam...

i would leave yam aside, the writer never even thought about his presence on screen perhaps! Indradev was punished quite a few times, but his punishment should be greater, mali was punished by the way through the sudarshan!

mythology did not do the justice to lord shani dev at times. because these mythos were written by those who hated shani dev, thus they poured all their hatred on him. one important characteristic of hindu scriptures is that where and when one is praised, he is praised so much that he becomes for that time the greatest of all, and when one is hated, he is hated to the core!
Shani dev's character was quite impressive in earlier purans like shiv puran, skanda samhita. but on later ages puran like barah puran, or linga puran and vabisya puran his character has been degraded much! even some places in mahavarat, his character is praiseworthy!

agree just lik indradev has been shwn flawless in rigveda bt shwn a chrcterless and flawed devta in d pruanas..similarly most of d puranas dt had later bn edited and modified hs shwn shanidev egoistic and merciless...😕

perhaps these people had lots of troubles in their life and they need someone whom they could pour all the loads on! and they chose shani for this, as earlier he was depicted as being emotion less and hard and strict!
