sharp view of Shani Maharaj

There is a mythological story of the power of Shani. Once Mata Parvati cajoled Lord Shanker and said " Bhagwan, Lords Vishnu and Brahma live in palatial mansions with all the comfort , with their wives who wear most expensive Sarees and adorn lots of beautiful ornaments. And see.my fate I have to suffer on this Kailash Parvat withstanding all the vagaries of weather snow rain sun rays etc. And I have to wear.dress made out of tree leaves, and only scanty ornaments. Have you no mercy on me. So you being all powerful why you do not construct a palatial mansions for us like Vishnu and Brahma. Lord Shanker replied See it is not in our fate. Even if I venture to construct a Mansion Lord Shani will surely destroy it.

Then Parvati Mata said See, Lord Shani is your subordinate. How dare he destroy the mansion constructed by you. Is He not aware of your third eye. .Then Lord Shanker said "OK I may will for a mansion ,but still I will have to go to Shani to seek his permission so that he doesn't destroy it Then Mata Parvati said "OK if you wish you may go and ask him. But in case he doesn't agree then you play your Damroo loudly. On hearing its sound ,I will myself burn the mansion all by myself so that that Shani doesn't get a chance to destroy your creation. I will not permit him to touch this mansion for its destruction. I will do it myself so he doesn't get the credit.

So a beautiful and palatial mansion came up on Mount Kailash. Then Lord Shanker went to Shani Maharaj and told him that Parvati wants a mansion on Mount Kailash. So you know that to have a peaceful coexistence I had to abide by her request as all husbands do. So I have come to you with a request that though such a mansion is not in my fate but as it has been built for the comfort of Parvati, so kindly do not destroy it. Shani Maharaj said Lord I am your subordinate and normally do whatever you have willed. So as you have asked me not to destroy it, so shall it be. But Lord in return favour I have an humble request that since I did not have your Darshan since long and I wanted to witness your "Tandav Nritya. So kindly oblige me .

. Shankerji was very pleased with Shanis humble words. And forgetting everything he started dancing playing his Damroo loudly.

Hearing the sound of Damroo Parvati thought that Shani had not agreed to the request of Lord Shanker. So she got enraged and immediately burnt the whole mansion , feeling happy that she did not allow Shani to do his task.

Well when Lord Shanker came he saw burnt mansion. He said that "Parvati why did you burn it. Shani had agreed not to destroy it. And in return favour he wanted to see my Tandav Nritya. Which I did. You could have at least waited for my return for confirmation before burning this palace. " So now let it be so. " Parvati felt bad for her immediate reaction in burning the palace instead of waiting for Lord Shanker.

So lack of understanding and communication gap between a husband and his wife always results in a catastrophe.(Mutual fight, Peace of. Mind lost, Poor children suffering due to the tense situation prevailing at home. etc. ).
