@liberiangirl - I am sorry to hear about your situation. I cannot even begin to fathom what it must be like in those shoes. May nature provide strength and mercy.

On another note
Active euthanasia involves injecting toxic chemicals to induce death. It is indeed killing. Some people are vehemently against it. I believe adults of sound mind should have the choice to go with dignity.

Passive euthanasia lets nature run its course without human intervention. It is not killing. It is legal in many parts of the world and a humane choice instead of extending life without dignity.

Medicine has become this huge inhumane unfeeling business and people are treated like machines to be kept "running at any cost especially as death approaches. Trust me, I have seen many people near the ends of their lives, the best deaths are those in which the patient and the family accept the truth of what is coming and give themselves the chance to deal with it before it comes. Many doctors (and others) choose not to accept aggressive end of life care and live longer than expected maybe because they are spending their last days doing what they want the way they want instead of hooked up to machines feeling miserable from whatever they have on top of the chemicals being pumped into them. 3 good days may be worth more than 3 tortuous months. There is nothing sadder than watching family members talk loved ones into a painful meaningless procedure to prolong a painful death a few days because the family can't let go. And yes, I've personally seen it over and over.

This is a sad story but has no relation to Bollywood. Closed.
