When Amitabh Bachchan was asked about the remark made by the troll on his son, he answered, "It is a very Western concept that once the child becomes eighteen, they have to move out of their parents' house. Whatever people say on social media, I don't care. Abhishek will be with me till my last breath. This is the Indian culture and we should follow it."

Those people who are working in BPO's, or doing studies in other states/country they are not following Indian culture? If joint family is his way of life then I respect it, but why does he think that is the only way to go?

Is it really Indian culture to live with your parents?

I have never seen men having issues living in with their parents. It is usually women who come into a household and start demanding separate homes. And YES joint-family is an eastern concept and should be followed by people who want to without being bullied by so-called western influenced wannabes.
Besides with the poverty and rising living expenses in India/Pakistan joint-family system is a great idea.

I agree but first of all he shouldn't taken people seriously on social media, besides I don't think there is a right way or wrong way to live in be it joint family, nuclear or just independent. Yes there is a lot of good in joint families but it sometimes also come with added drama that not everyone can put up with or go thru. There are many young and able guys who are still leeching off their parents money and expect them to buy bikes, give them pocket money. sleep until later afternoon and lack of responsibility. These people don't want to step up and help out their parents because they feel highly entitled. Obviously this isn't a case for all, there are others who do contribute to their household but joing family isnt always going to save you money IMO.

Big b feels that way and many people too.
He is not forcing people to follow his ideology. That's his opinion
We can't force a person to think a certain way.

Similarly we shouldn't force our ideology on big b too.

Sounds like dictating to me. No culture is right or wrong. There is pro and cons on either arguments.
Parents often try to smother kids with their love without realising what the want. Like I said no right way or wrong way but people should be able to make choices.
