SPOILER ALERT...don't read if you haven't watched the film
I think she was brilliant 😲 oh god ! watched the film last night n wasn't expecting this sort of arc in the film. I was thinking its the original avengers doing all the drama and action. Considering I haven't seen a single movie from Gurdians of the galaxy. At first it was getting tough for me to understand when they r introduced but when Gamora is revealed to be adopted daughter of Thanos there's no looking back...
and then thanos kidnaps her and ultimately sacrifices her...Zoe was extremely brilliant in all the scenes in which she is with thanos...or actually she pretty much steals the show in every scene she is in...i have been reading all the reviews and every major reviewer has praised her...considering the film is abt avengers the makers took a risk in giving Gamora a small but much powerful and affecting role.
Zoe is actually terrific in the last scene where she tries to kill herself first before he ultimately sacrifices her. I think personally, I had a brief troubled time with my father as well (though for not that serious reasons) but her performance hit me where it would hurt the most. And honestly she is so underrated.
all the avengers well sorry to say that have pretty much nothing to do except the action and the thing they have been doing in the past...if we take out Gamora and Thanos part the film is pretty much a standard action film which doesn't offer much.I agree that the makers try to give the film a lighthearted feel so there's humor but sometimes it becomes annoying (hello its a film about saving the world guys) ..but Gamora's arc film takes it all time high. I'm glad that ppl r liking it so much...otherwise ppl could have just ripped it apart.
Zoe today has walked the hollywood walk of fame..I have never really seen her movies as such but this movie shall give her a place which she finally deserves...
and oh considering this is a bollywood and we 'r not supposed to put hollywood topics here' I would like to say here that our filmmakers should also try out making great characters for women esp look at baahubali 2. Hoping to see some more good stuff...
