Mumbai is pretty crowded place..

Even if you throw Crores of Rupees , you will end up living in an apartment..

They have the money to live anywhere they want and that too in huge Bungalows.!

People stay close to place of work to avoid hassle of commute.

- you tend to be friends with people in the same profession or interests..

- IDK but my guess is Mumbai probably offers lot of opportunity to get exposed to 'acting' and showbiz industry

- Bada shehar hain.. plenty of avenues for everything and anything, and then there's BEACH.

Through the past century, a lot has been said, written, sung, shown about Mumbai.. makes me very curious about the place, people(i know) do fall in love with it despite the cost of living.. I want to stay in Mumbai for a good 1 or 2 months some time and explore it.. 😃

Because that's where their industry is. All the major studios are there; most shoots happen there. Most events, award shows, parties etc. happen there.

Having lived in a huge bungalow myself for a considerable amount of time, it gets really boring after a point, and one would just crave for a nice cosy home. Besides, it's not like they live in a 1 BHK. Their flats are huge too, with 5 bedrooms for two people. After all, how much place does one need!

LOL! What even! Most of the industry(i.e. Areas for shooting) is based there, they have to live there, it's not like they have a choice. Shoots do happen at other places but primarily it is Mumbai where everything is based.
Fun Fact: A lot of Bankers also have to live in Mumbai especially if you intend to work in treasury operations coz Mumbai is the financial capital of the country.

Most studios are in Mumbai... and shoots happen here with sets built in the studios and around mumbai(if set is huge)

I agree with the points others have raised. I would just like to add there's something about Mumbai one can't help but fall in love with after having lived there for a while. The atmosphere, energy are very different from other cities and it has a very liberal vibe to it. It's also a great city to party for rich people who like to party hard.
