Asifa Gangrape a 'Minor Incident': BJP Minister

Within an hour of a cabinet shuffle in Jammu and Kashmir today, new Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta debuted with a shocker on the Kathua eight-year-old's rape and murder that has shaken the country.

"Rasana is a chhoti si baat (minor issue)...[b] We have to think this should never happen again and the child gets justice. [b] There are many challenges like this facing the government. We should not give Rasana so much bhaav(importance)," Mr Gupta told reporters.

The comment was received with shock and disbelief after a revamp that was linked widely to the outrage over the BJP's former ministers participating in a rally in support of the men arrested for kidnapping, drugging, gang-raping and murdering the child in Kathua's Rasana village.

All eight accused are Hindu while the little girl belonged to a Muslim nomadic tribe.

Well if that minister have said it a small affair, it doesnt mean the entire ministry endorses him. Neither does that minister's statement will decide how the issue will be handled.

The central leadership cant go and scrutiny check over each and every individual's thinking.

i dont know if desiking3 knows but that boy from.Meerut who was accused of the kathua rape was actually found in cctv footage of meerut college during the time of alleged rape😕

I dont care if the member intends to bash bjp because a lot of us bash the other parties but this member conveniently turns it into India bashing and that takes his/her threads to a disgusting route. leftist media hypocrisy is revealed again n again. the guy was in meerut when fake charge sheet was filed against him accusing him of raping poor girl. Cvtv revealed he was in atm in meerut thay day. Liberals r silent no media is showing it. they brought communal angle to it . people were screaming for cbi enquiry for right reason as we know jk govt is so biased against us n police fake charge sheet proved it. The girl will not get any justice because police destroyed the case. Typical witch hunt. The media tried to show that Hindus r celebrating the murder but we were just asking for fair enquiry know we r proven right!
