Homebreaker is the term used by anybody who breaks a married person's home. The term is gender neutral. But, since most cases involve married men n women, hence the tag seems to hv got attached to women. Adulterer is the term for the married spouses involved. And nothing wrong in shaming the woman as much as the man. And before making it a "Regressive India" issue, even Angelina Jolie and Camilla were bashed as much as the spouses in the West. And so was Kirsten Stewart n Rupert Sanders.

I don't think the government would recognize it. Maybe they just married so it looks nice in public instead of looking like living in sin. I don't think Dharam and Hema are really married. 😕

A man converting to Islam and marrying for the second time despite being married to another woman is not legally acceptable anymore. There was a specific case called the Sarla Mudgal case that dealt with this issue. The Supreme Court said a second marriage is invalid unless and until the first one is dissolved if the husband has converted and married another woman without divorcing the first one. This was in 1995 when Sarla Mudgal decided to file a case against her husband. Had Dharmendra's first wife filed a case, there could have been a possibility of Hema-Dharmendra marriage being declared invalid.

Hema Malini I think was like Aishwariya Rai of those times with the rich and famous wanting to marry her. Not only her beauty but came from a good family, highly cultures yada yada.

And she chose to marry a married man with four kids. How is that a catch. Dharmendra spent most of his time with his other family and even today he hardly ever sees her. She has to make an effort to meet him. Even at his daughter's wedding wasn't he there more like a guest.

What Malini site you're talking about though? And I didn't say it's not the men's fault at all, did I? But I won't absolve the women of blame.
