I have read somewhere that Zara had accepted Kabeer as her Shauhar and when will Kabeer reciprocate the same.
Well, That's where the characterisation of Kabeer comes into play. Kabeer is a man of principles and Sunnah. He had had only one demand for his future wife: the one whom his parents would select. So, he doesn't have any expectations for his future wife, except this one thing, and Zara is his parents' choice.
Since Nikah, Kabeer has accepted her to be his wife and in his own way cares and loves for her, his strong beilef in Allah and Rasool PBUH's sunnah. That's evident in every scene after that, where he doesn't want her to get insulted anywhere, even in jhoita chipaay episode and the haath lagaay. He accepted that their ideologies are different, irrespective of which he should respect and love his wife and give her her due respect.
Unlike Kabeer, Zara had a lot of expectations from her future husband and although she had accepted the marriage, she needed time and of course, some effort from Kabeer, to accept Kabeer as her husband. The proof that she had accepted this marriage is evident from the very next day, especially to Ruksaar, who was spying on them and of course, she didn't want someone who had once and even now wanting her husband to roam around their life. Each instances where Kabeer had toucher her heart, she slowly started opening up and ease the restrictions she had put in the relationship. It was always Zara who had problems with sleeping together, coming to the room without knocking etc. whereas Kabeer was ready to workout bare torso in front of her and hadn't shied a bit.
Kabeer was always attracted to Zara even before their Nikah despite his orthodox thoughts but had been successfully able to conceal it and even after the Nikah, until, Zara had shown clues of acceptance. Kabeer wanted Zara to accept him because he didn't deny his honeymoon, although initially he had to keep Ruksaar out of it, he had started the friendship and he is always the one who ends any arguments between them.
The thing to which why Zara had taken the front hand in the controversial consummation or whatever that had happened between them, well, Zara was aware about his attraction towards her, especially before the epic moulvi ho tum scene and the last episode, during the marham patty scene and also the packing scene, especially during the scene where he accidentally gets hold of her hand, she smiles knowingly that, he will not be the one to initiate any physical intimacy, not because he is shy, because he would want to give her time to accept this relationship.
Regarding Ruksaar, Kabeer hadn't shown any time of attraction towards Ruksaar maybe because he have known her from younger days and of course, one need not develop a crush on anyone. But, as per many speculations that kabeer would marry Ruksaar for the family and then divorce her, would go against the characterisation of Kabeer who is a strong sunnah believer and wouldn't want his wife to be abandoned for such strange reasons and as per the Islamic law, firstl, he woukd need Zara's permission to marry another woman and also, he shoukd be a righteous husband who should be looking after both his wives equally, and if he doesn't do that, the , the belief of Kabeer will shake. So, if they're going to keep Kabeer in character, this is not easy to happen.
And also as Kabeer and Zara believes, Talaaq is the most hateful permitted thing in Islam for Allah
