N humsafar was more regressive jeez! let's not get me started over it
I have seen a few Pakistani dramas with my grandmom, and yes, almost all of them have a regressive tone to them.ZGH was my first Pakistani drama and I really liked Zaroon. But, have to admit he was misogynist as hell. He didn't like his mother focusing more on her career than the family, whereas we never saw him questioning his Dad ever on the work - life balance problem. I hated how the mother focusing more on her career was shown as a bad thing that affected the kids and their relationships with their respective spouses (Zaroon's sister implying her marriage breaking apart because of the examples set by their mother). I could totally understand why Asmara left him.
