The next morning, he woke up Geet with kisses. She smiled at him and then he held her by the waist, pushed her on her back and pinned her between his body and the soft mattresses of his bed. There was no need for words after that.

It was almost noontime when they got up from bed. He knew that Geet would leave soon and this made him want to scream. He didn't want her to leave yet.

Maan -What time is your flight?.

she smiled and snuggled closer to him - Tomorrow at 8

Maan being himself - Why

Geet - I canceled things today

Maan - misty... why did you do that

She started kissing him - I wanted to. A day won't hurt. It's our first day together... for real. The first day that didn't have to end

Maan grumbled - this distance is going to be a bummer. I don't want stay away from you even a single day

she could so see him getting restless already. He pushed a lock of stray hair away from her face.

Geet - Let that be my problem for now jaan

Maan - That's not fair. I don't want you to stress yourself out too much traveling so often to NYC. I know you live most of your life in California

Geet smiled - You know solution to that problem, jaan. But until you're ready, I will fly in as often as possible.

Maan kissed her - I can come down there too

He hugged her. He missed her already. If he wanted to solve this problem, all he had to do was move to California. Open that branch Geet wanted him to start.

He watched her gather the clothes on the floor. Just then he remembered one think... they hadn't used any protection. He sat back in bed quietly, thinking. At her place, he didn't wear a condom either, but he withdrew. Now, he didn't do that last night. He was so passionate and carried away

He shook his head nervously and stood up to go to the bathroom. He was nervous. He didn't know how to ask her.

He cupped her face dearly and pressed his lips on her forehead. She pressed his hand that held her.

For months, all we had were signals and moods, and I had to decipher every sign that you threw my way because I couldn't go ahead and demand my answers verbally. He took a deep breath - kal raat main ne .. wo humne... I mean I didn't withdraw dammit.

she was bit taken aback by what he said and then she blushed. She hid her face in his chest.

Then geet giggled - u mean daadi ki baat itni jaldi sach ho jayegi

Maan rolled his eyes - geet mazak nahi hain

She was so shy.

Maan - Okay, so we need to discuss this.

Geet hid her face - mujhe koi problem nahi hain. Honestly I would be the happiest woman not that I'm not already.

Maan - misty.. we just officially got together last night.

Geet - that would be good reason for you to move to west coast too.

He stared back at Geet and he could see in her eyes that she really wanted him to move to San Diego. She was not pressuring him yet, but it was definitely something she wanted to happen.

Maan - give me some time geet. I will

She smiled - that's good enough for now.

He leaned and kissed her on the lips and maan said hesitantly - about contraceptives..
Geet nodded shyly.
Maan - I am not sure what I am comfortable with two. Withdrawal or condoms. If you go on the pill, I want to make sure it's perfectly safe, no side effects. Maan shrugged - So what? Then we'll have a baby. Nothing would please my dad more

He laughed and pulled her into a hug - Too fast? we have been practically engaged for a year now.. And wo.. I am just a little overwhelmed. I still can't seem to believe that this is happening for real. That you are mine for real. I want to shower you with all the happiness in the world.

He looked into her eyes - yes misty I am ..

Geet - I know you went through hell in past, and I know it will be difficult for you to trust anyone in a relationship. Please don't hold back on me. I am not the person that Nt was. I promise you, it will be different with me. Love me with all you have... because I love you with all I have.

He pulled her into a passionate kiss whispering.. - I could never hold back with you Geet.

Even when we were pretending.

After a long and passionate love making. They had shower and changed into fresh cloths.

She checked couple of her mails. While Maan spoke to his clients regarding the visits next week. He admired her dedication.

Maan - are you very strict with your employees?

Geet laughed - why do ask

Maan - everything seems so well coordinated.

Geet - I hire the best, and I train them long. They are well-compensated. Once a month their family visit the company for a family dinner. I know each and every one of them personally. They can come to me directly if they have a problem. I believe that if you motivate your people positively, you'll get better positive results.
Maan - how do you manage all this?

Geet - I had a plan. I used to think I could take care of it all. Fly from one country to another.
Maan - And now what happened to that plan

She looked at him with so much of love for a while - You changed it

He raised his brows - What did I do?

She pushed her laptop aside and hugged him- I fell in love with you. You made me realize that there are more important things in life than money and success, and that one way or another, I would have to delegate. Find some free time for myself. Remember that day you came to San diego? I had the longest day of my life. Working for twenty-four hours straight. And then you came. I was so glad you were there. When I slept with you in your arms, I knew there was no other place I would rather be. And that if I did have you in my life for real, I wouldn't miss the chance to come home to be with you. Cook for you. Eat with you.

Later in the evening they went around the block for a walk. He took her to musical instrument shop and got her a guitar. She looked at him why he was doing it.

Maan - you play beautifully

Geet - no jaan.. Wo tho.. Aisen hi .. it was my hobby during school days

He could be so persistent she realized when they walked home with this beautiful expensive guitar. It was a classic. Officially his first gift to her .. she chuckled.. Something so dear to her. She has one in her house.. But somewhere in the attic. She stopped playing when she joined college. Then on life had been very materialist and an ongoing chase.

She kept staring at it all evening unsure if she wanted to go down that road.. But that is what she did when she was with him.. She did all that she loved. All that she otherwise would never do. She watched him playfully playing an awful tune.. She smiled and sat between his legs and took the guitar from him.

Geet - Often my songs were silly, but sometimes, as I drive home at night and singing a melancholy song, the moment get so intensely beautiful, my voice.. The tune just in harmony and spilling out of the unrolled windows into the moonlit sky.. That feel is just perfect..

Maan cocooned her..whispered may be some rain drops..to hide those tear..

She turned in his embrace to meet his eyes.. Their lips were so dangerously close. She brushed it softly whispering.. I didn't know u were so romantic jaan..

He kissed her thoroughly pulling her on to him.

Rest of the evening was spent her trying to teach him the notes of the song she played in his house back in India. She had to agree he was awful.
