from films to concentrate on his sports
ventures. Abhishek was traveling across the
country with his Kabaddi and football team.
He spoke to a leading daily about his
upcoming film Manmarziyan. When the film
went on floors, he had posted, "Possibly the
scariest chair to sit on as of right now. It's
taken over 2 yrs to get back onto it. He has
wrapped up the film that also stars Taapsee
Pannu and Vicky Kaushal.
Abhishek spoke to Film Companion about
the sabbatical and said, "I didn't do any
work for 2 years in terms of acting. I needed
to reboot. I felt there was a sense of
complacency that had crept into my work
ethic. I was making more money than I had
in my entire career but you have to ask
yourself, is this what you want to be
remembered for? I just need to go back to
doing work that scares me.
About his absence from films, he said that
he wasn't on a holiday'. He added, "This
break is the best thing I've done. But there
won't be another long break. I've tasted
blood again
His turban-clad first look received a lot of
appreciation. The film is scheduled to
release on September 7, 2018. Abhishek has
also, as per reports, signed Priyadarshan's
next film, tentatively titled Rang Birangi. The
film will be an out and out comedy and will
star a debutante opposite Abhishek.
